(Ps 74,16)4Ohne Sprache und ohne Worte, lautlos ist ihre Stimme,[1]5doch ihre Botschaft breitet sich aus über die ganze Erde und ihre Worte über die ganze Welt. Die Sonne wohnt am Himmel, wo Gott sie hingestellt hat. (Röm 10,18)6Sie tritt hervor wie ein strahlender Bräutigam nach der Hochzeit. Sie freut sich wie ein Held, bereit für den Lauf.7Sie geht an einem Ende des Himmels auf und zieht ihre Bahn bis ans andere Ende. Vor ihrer Glut kann sich nichts verbergen. (Ps 113,3)8Das Gesetz des HERRN ist vollkommen, es erfrischt die Seele. Die Ratschlüsse des HERRN sind zuverlässig und schenken den Unverständigen Weisheit. (Ps 23,3; Ps 36,10; Ps 111,7; Ps 119,14)9Die Gebote des HERRN sind richtig und erfreuen das Herz. Die Vorschriften des HERRN sind klar und schenken Einsicht. (Ps 12,7; Ps 119,128)10Die Ehrfurcht vor dem HERRN ist echt und hat für immer Bestand. Die Gesetze des HERRN sind Wahrheit, jedes einzelne ist gerecht. (Ps 119,138)11Sie sind wertvoller als das feinste Gold und süßer als der beste Honig. (Ps 119,127)12Sie sind eine Mahnung an jeden, der sie hört, und wer ihnen gehorcht, den erwartet eine reiche Belohnung. (Ps 17,5; Spr 29,18)13Wie kann ich alle meine Sünden erkennen, die ich begehe? Vergib mir diese verborgene Schuld! (Ps 51,3; Ps 90,8; Ps 139,23)14Bewahre mich vor stolzen Menschen, und lass nicht zu, dass sie über mich herrschen. Dann werde ich ohne Schuld sein und frei von schwerer Sünde. (Ps 25,11; Ps 32,2)15HERR, lass dir die Worte meines Mundes und die Gedanken meines Herzens gefallen! HERR, mein Fels und mein Erlöser. 1The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies show that his hands created them.2Day after day they speak about it. Night after night they make it known.3But they don’t speak or use words. No sound is heard from them.4Yet their voice goes out into the whole earth. Their words go out from one end of the world to the other. God has set up a tent in the heavens for the sun.5The sun is like a groom leaving the room of his wedding night. The sun is like a great runner who takes delight in running a race.6It rises at one end of the heavens. Then it moves across to the other end. Everything enjoys its warmth.7The law of the LORD is perfect. It gives us new strength. The laws of the LORD can be trusted. They make childish people wise.8The rules of the LORD are right. They give joy to our hearts. The commands of the LORD shine brightly. They give light to our minds.9The law that brings respect for the LORD is pure. It lasts for ever. The commands the LORD gives are true. All of them are completely right.10They are more priceless than gold. They have greater value than huge amounts of pure gold. They are sweeter than honey that is taken from the honeycomb.11Your servant is warned by them. When people obey them, they are greatly rewarded.12But who can know their own mistakes? Forgive my hidden faults.13Also keep me from the sins I want to commit. May they not be my master. Then I will be without blame. I will not be guilty of any great sin against your law.14LORD, may these words of my mouth please you. And may these thoughts of my heart please you also. You are my Rock and my Redeemer.

(Ps 50,6; Röm 1,19)2Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.3There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.4Their voice[2] goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, (Pred 1,5; Jes 28,10; Röm 10,18)5which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
