1 Ein Psalm für die Pilgerfahrt nach Jerusalem. HERR, aus tiefster Verzweiflung schreie ich zu dir. (Ps 42,8; Ps 69,3) 2 Herr, höre mein Rufen und vernimm mein Gebet! (2Chr 6,40; Ps 28,2; Ps 64,2) 3 HERR, wenn du unsere Sünde anrechnen würdest, wer, Herr, könnte da bestehen? (Ps 76,8; Ps 86,5) 4 Doch du schenkst uns Vergebung, damit wir lernen, dich zu fürchten. (2Mo 34,7) 5 Ich hoffe auf den HERRN von ganzem Herzen, und ich vertraue auf sein Wort. (Ps 40,2; Jes 8,17) 6 Ich warte auf den Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, ja, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen. (Ps 63,7) 7 Israel, hoffe auf den HERRN! Denn der HERR ist gnädig und sein Erbarmen[1] ist groß. (Ps 103,4; Ps 131,3) 8 Er selbst wird Israel befreien von allen seinen Sünden. (Lk 1,68)

1 LORD, I cry out to you because I’m suffering so deeply. 2 Lord, listen to me. Pay attention to my cry for your mercy. 3 LORD, suppose you kept a close watch on sins. Lord, who then wouldn’t be found guilty? 4 But you forgive. So we can serve you with respect. 5 With all my heart I wait for the LORD to help me. I put my hope in his word. 6 I wait for the Lord to help me. I want his help more than night watchmen want the morning to come. I’ll say it again. I want his help more than night watchmen want the morning to come. 7 Israel, put your hope in the LORD, because the LORD’s love never fails. He sets his people completely free. 8 He himself will set Israel free from all their sins.

(Hi 10,14; Ps 76,7; Ps 90,8; Ps 143,2; Am 2,15; Nah 1,6; Mal 3,2; Eph 6,13; Offb 6,17) 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.
