Psalm 125

1 Ein Lied für die Pilgerfahrt nach Jerusalem. Die auf den HERRN vertrauen, sind wie der Berg Zion; er steht fest und sicher und hat für immer Bestand. (Ps 46,6) 2 So wie die Berge Jerusalem umgeben und schützen, so umgibt und schützt der HERR sein Volk, jetzt und für alle Zeit. (Ps 121,8; Sach 2,9) 3 Die Gottlosen werden nicht mehr über die Gottesfürchtigen herrschen, damit nicht etwa auch die Gottesfürchtigen unrecht handeln. (1Sam 24,11; Spr 22,8; Jes 14,5) 4 HERR, tu denen Gutes, die gut sind, denen, die in ihren Herzen aufrichtig sind. (Ps 7,11; Ps 94,15; Ps 119,68) 5 Aber alle, die auf krummen Wegen gehen, wird der HERR verstoßen, zusammen mit den Übeltätern. Frieden komme über Israel! (Gal 6,16)

A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.

1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. They will always be secure. They will last for ever. 2 Like the mountains around Jerusalem, the LORD is all around his people both now and for ever. 3 Evil people will not always rule the land the LORD gave to those who do right. If they did, those who do right might do what is evil. 4 LORD, do good to those who are good. Do good to those whose hearts are honest. 5 But the LORD will drive out those who have taken crooked paths. He will drive them out with those who do evil things. May Israel enjoy peace.

1 A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. (Ps 25,2; Ps 93,1; Ps 104,5; Ps 120,1; Spr 10,30)

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. (2Kön 6,17; Sach 2,5) 3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wrong.
