Denn Gott lässt seine mächtige Stimme erschallen, und schon vergeht die ganze Erde.8Der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, steht uns bei! Der Gott Jakobs ist unser Schutz.9Kommt und seht, was der HERR Großes getan hat! Seine Taten verbreiten Entsetzen.10In aller Welt bereitet er den Kriegen ein Ende. Die Kampfbogen bricht er entzwei, er zersplittert die Speere und verbrennt die Kriegswagen[1].11»Hört auf!«, ruft er, »und erkennt, dass ich Gott bin! Ich stehe über den Völkern; ich habe Macht über die ganze Welt.«12Der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, steht uns bei! Der Gott Jakobs ist unser Schutz!
