1Praise awaits[1] you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.2You who answer prayer, to you all people will come.3When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave[2] our transgressions.4Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.5You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Saviour, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas,6who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,7who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.8The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.9You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with corn, for so you have ordained it.[3]10You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.11You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.12The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.13The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with corn; they shout for joy and sing.

(Ps 76:3)3Du erhörst Gebete, darum kommen alle Menschen zu dir.4Die Verfehlungen lasten zu schwer auf uns,[2] aber du kannst uns die Schuld vergeben.5Wie glücklich sind alle, die du erwählst! Sie dürfen in deine Nähe kommen und in den Vorhöfen deines Tempels wohnen. Wir möchten all das Gute genießen, das wir in deinem Heiligtum bekommen. (Ps 23:6)6Gott, unser Retter, du hältst uns die Treue,[3] du antwortest uns durch gewaltige Taten. Du bist die Hoffnung der ganzen Erde bis hin zu den fernsten Meeren. (Ps 46:9)7Du hast die Berge hingestellt mit deiner Kraft. Du bist zum Kampf gerüstet mit Macht8und stillst den Aufruhr des Meeres, das Brüllen seiner Wellen; du stillst auch den Aufruhr der Völker. (Ps 89:10)9Sie erschrecken vor deinen Wundern selbst an den äußersten Enden der Erde. Deine Taten wecken Freude und Jubel überall, wo Menschen wohnen.10Du sorgst für das Land, du machst es reich und fruchtbar: So lässt du das Korn für die Menschen wachsen. Gott, deine Bäche sind immer voll Wasser; (Ps 104:10)11du feuchtest die Furchen und ebnest die Schollen, du tränkst die Felder mit Regengüssen und segnest, was auf ihnen sprießt.12Mit guten Gaben krönst du das Jahr, in deinen Spuren lässt du Überfluss zurück.13Die Steppe füllt sich mit üppigem Grün, die Hügel hallen wider von Freudenrufen.14Die Weiden schmücken sich mit Herden, die Täler hüllen sich in wogendes Korn – alles ist voll Jubel und Gesang.
