Psalm 62

New International Reader’s Version

For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.

1 It is surely true that I find my rest in God. He is the God who saves me. 

2 It is surely true that he is my rock. He is the God who saves me. He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure. 

3 How long will you enemies attack me? Will all of you throw me down? I’m like a leaning wall. I’m like a fence about to fall. 

4 Surely my enemies only want to pull me down from my place of honour. They take delight in telling lies. They bless me with what they say. But in their hearts they ask for bad things to happen to me. 

5 Yes, I must find my rest in God. He is the God who gives me hope. 

6 It is surely true that he is my rock and the God who saves me. He is like a fort to me, so I will always be secure. 

7 I depend on God to save me and to honour me. He is my mighty rock and my place of safety. 

8 Trust in him at all times, you people. Tell him all your troubles. God is our place of safety. 

9 Surely ordinary people are only a breath. Important people are not what they seem to be. If they were weighed on a scale, they wouldn’t amount to anything. Together they are only a breath. 

10 Don’t trust in money you have taken from others. Don’t put false hope in things you have stolen. Even if your riches grow, don’t put your trust in them. 

11 God, I have heard you say two things. One is that power belongs to you, God. 

12 The other is that your love, Lord, never ends. You will reward everyone in keeping with what they have done.

1 За първия певец, по Едутун. Давидов псалом. Душата ми тихо уповава само на Бога, от Когото е избавлението ми. (Ps 33:20) 

2 Само Той е канара моя и избавление мое, и прибежище мое; няма много да се поклатя. (Ps 37:24; Ps 62:6) 

3 Докога всички вие ще нападате човека, за да го съборите като наведена стена и разклатен плет? (Isa 30:13) 

4 Съветват се само да го тласкат от висотата му; обичат лъжата; с устата си благославят, а в сърцето си кълнат. (Села.) (Ps 28:3) 

5 Но ти, о, душо моя, тихо уповавай само на Бога, защото от Него очаквам помощ. (Ps 62:1; Ps 62:2) 

6 Само Той е канара моя и избавление мое, и прибежище мое; няма да се поклатя. 

7 У Бога е избавлението ми и славата ми; моята силна канара и прибежището ми е в Бога. (Jer 3:23) 

8 Уповавай на Него, народе, по всяко време, изливайте сърцата си пред Него; Бог е прибежище за нас. (Села.) (1Sa 1:15; Ps 18:2; Ps 42:4; La 2:19) 

9 Наистина, нископоставените хора са лъх, а високопоставените – лъжа; сложени на везни, те се издигат нагоре; те всички са по-леки от суетата. (Ps 39:5; Ps 39:11; Isa 40:15; Isa 40:17; Ro 3:4) 

10 Не уповавайте на насилие и не се надявайте суетно на грабителство; ако изникне богатство, не прилепяйте към него сърцето си. (Job 31:25; Ps 52:7; Lu 12:15; 1Ti 6:17) 

11 Едно нещо каза Бог, да! Две неща чух – че силата принадлежи на Бога (Job 33:14; Re 19:1)
