1 Ein Wallfahrtslied, gesungen auf dem Weg hinauf nach Jerusalem.[1] Ich richte meinen Blick empor zu den Bergen – woher wird Hilfe für mich kommen? (Ps 120,1) 2 Meine Hilfe kommt vom HERRN, der Himmel und Erde geschaffen hat. 3 Er bewahrt deine Füße vor dem Stolpern; er, dein Beschützer, schläft niemals. 4 Ja, der Beschützer Israels schläft und schlummert nicht! 5 Der HERR behütet dich, der HERR spendet dir Schatten und steht dir bei[2], 6 damit dich am Tag die Sonne nicht sticht und in der Nacht der Mond dir nicht schadet. 7 Der HERR wird dich behüten vor jedem Unheil, er bewahrt dein Leben. 8 Der HERR behütet dich, wenn du gehst und wenn du kommst – jetzt und für alle Zeit.[3]

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Ich hebe meine Augen auf zu den Bergen: Woher kommt mir Hilfe? (Ps 87,1; Ps 123,1; Ps 125,2) 2 Meine Hilfe kommt von dem HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat! (Ps 115,15; Ps 124,8) 3 Er wird deinen Fuß nicht wanken lassen, und der dich behütet, schläft nicht. (1Sam 2,9; Ps 55,23; Ps 66,9; Ps 127,1; Spr 3,23; Spr 3,26; Jes 27,3) 4 Siehe, der Hüter Israels schläft noch schlummert nicht. (1Mo 28,15; 5Mo 32,10) 5 Der HERR behütet dich; der HERR ist dein Schatten zu deiner rechten Hand, (Ps 16,8; Jes 4,6; Jes 25,4) 6 dass dich am Tag die Sonne nicht steche, noch der Mond bei Nacht. (Ps 91,5; Jes 49,10) 7 Der HERR behüte dich vor allem Übel, er behüte deine Seele; (1Mo 28,15; 1Sam 25,26; Ps 97,10; Spr 12,21; 1Thess 5,23; 2Tim 4,18) 8 der HERR behüte deinen Ausgang und Eingang von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. 1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore.

1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
