1 Dios es conocido en Judá, grande es su nombre en Israel. 2 En Salén se halla su santuario, en Sion está su morada. 3 Allí destroza él las flechas, los escudos, las espadas y todas las armas de los enemigos. 4 ¡Los montes eternos no pueden comparar su gloria con la tuya! 5 Vencidos están los más poderosos de nuestros enemigos. Están recostados ante nosotros en el sueño de la muerte; ni uno de ellos puede alzar su mano contra nosotros. 6 Cuando tú, Dios de Jacob, los reprendiste, caballos y jinetes quedaron inmóviles. 7 ¿Quién puede estar ante ti cuando se enciende tu enojo? 8 Desde el cielo pronuncias sobre ellos la sentencia; tiembla la tierra y silenciosa está ante ti. 9 Te levantas para castigar a los malhechores, oh Dios, y para rescatar a los pobres de la tierra. 10 La enemistad de los hombres sólo hace que tu gloria se note más; porque tú la usas como espada de juicio. 11 Hagan votos al SEÑOR su Dios y cúmplanlos. Traiga cada uno su presente al Dios maravilloso, 12 porque él quebranta el espíritu de los príncipes y es temido por los reyes de la tierra.

1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel. (Sal 4:1; Sal 48:3; Sal 50:1) 2 His abode has been established in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion. (Gn 14:18; Sal 9:11; Sal 27:5; Sal 74:2; Lm 2:6) 3 There he broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. (Sal 46:9; Ez 39:9) 4 Glorious are you, more majestic than the mountains full of prey. (Is 14:25; Ez 39:4; Nah 2:13) 5 The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands. (2 R 19:35; Sal 13:3; Is 46:12; Jer 51:39; Nah 3:18) 6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned. (Ex 15:1; Ex 15:21) 7 But you, you are to be feared! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused? (Sal 47:2; Sal 130:3) 8 From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still, (2 Cr 20:29; Hab 2:20) 9 when God arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. (Sal 9:7) 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant[1] of wrath you will put on like a belt. (Ex 9:16) 11 Make your vows to the Lord your God and perform them; let all around him bring gifts to him who is to be feared, (Gn 31:42; Gn 31:53; Sal 50:14; Sal 68:29; Sal 89:7; Is 8:13) 12 who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is to be feared by the kings of the earth. (Sal 47:2; Is 18:5)
