1 مَا أَحْلَى مَسَاكِنَكَ يَا رَبَّ الْجُنُودِ! 2 تَتُوقُ بَلْ تَحِنُّ نَفْسِي إِلَى دِيَارِ الرَّبِّ. قَلْبِي وَجِسْمِي يُرَنِّمَانِ بِفَرَحٍ لِلإِلَهِ الْحَيِّ. 3 الْعُصْفُورُ أَيْضاً وَجَدَ لَهُ وَكْراً، وَالْيَمَامَةُ عَثَرَتْ لِنَفْسِهَا عَلَى عُشٍّ تَضَعُ فِيهِ فِرَاخَهَا، بِجِوَارِ مَذَابِحِكَ يَا رَبَّ الْجُنُودِ، يَا مَلِكِي وَإِلَهِي. 4 طُوبَى لِمَنْ يَسْكُنُونَ فِي بَيْتِكَ، فَإِنَّهُمْ يُسَبِّحُونَكَ دَائِماً. 5 طُوبَى لأُنَاسٍ أَنْتَ قُوَّتُهُمْ. الْمُتَلَهِّفُونَ لاتِّبَاعِ طُرُقِكَ الْمُفْضِيَةِ إِلَى بَيْتِكَ المُقَدَّسِ. 6 وَإِذْ يَعْبُرُونَ فِي وَادِي الْبَكَا الْجَافِّ، يَجْعَلُونَهُ يَنَابِيعَ مَاءٍ، وَيَغْمُرُهُمُ الْمَطَرُ الْخَرِيفِيُّ بِالْبَرَكَاتِ. 7 يَنْمُونَ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ إِلَى قُوَّةٍ، إِذْ يَمْثُلُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ أَمَامَ اللهِ فِي صِهْيَوْنَ. 8 يَا رَبُّ إِلَهَ الْجُنُودِ اسْمَعْ صَلاتِي، وَأَصْغِ إِلَيَّ يَا إِلَهَ يَعْقُوبَ. 9 يَا اللهُ مِجَنَّنَا، انْظُرْ بِعَيْنِ الرَّحْمَةِ إِلَى مَنْ مَسَحْتَهُ مَلِكاً. 10 إِنَّ يَوْماً وَاحِداً أَقْضِيهِ دَاخِلَ دِيَارِكَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ يَوْمٍ خَارِجَهَا. اخْتَرْتُ أَنْ أَقِفَ عَلَى الْعَتَبَةِ فِي بَيْتِ إِلَهِي عَلَى السَّكَنِ فِي خِيَامِ الأَشْرَارِ. 11 لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ الإِلَهَ شَمْسٌ وَتُرْسٌ. الرَّبُّ يُعْطِي نِعْمَةً وَمَجْداً؛ لَا يَمْنَعُ أَيَّ خَيْرٍ عَنِ السَّالِكِينَ بِالاسْتِقَامَةِ. 12 يَا رَبَّ الْجُنُودِ، طُوبَى لِلإِنْسَانِ الْمُتَّكِلِ عَلَيْكَ.

1 To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith.[1] A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! (مز 8:1; مز 27:4; مز 42:1; مز 43:3; مز 81:1; مز 132:5) 2 My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. (أي 19:27; مز 42:1; مز 42:2; مز 63:1; مز 73:26; مز 119:81; مز 143:6) 3 Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. (مز 5:2) 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! (مز 42:5; مز 42:11; مز 43:5; مز 65:4) 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.[2] (مز 122:1) 6 As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. (حز 34:26; يؤ 2:23) 7 They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion. (مز 42:2; أم 4:18; إش 40:31; يو 1:16; 2كو 3:18) 8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! (مز 59:5) 9 Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed! (مز 3:3; مز 80:14) 10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. (1أخ 26:19; مز 84:2) 11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. (مز 15:2; مز 27:1; مز 34:9; مز 84:9; مز 85:12; أم 2:7; إش 60:19; ملا 4:2; مت 6:33; مت 7:11; رؤ 21:23) 12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! (مز 2:12)
