1 نَحْمَدُكَ يَا اللهُ نَحْمَدُكَ، لأَنَّ اسْمَكَ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ شَعْبِكَ الَّذِي يُخْبِرُ بِمَا صَنَعْتَ مِنْ عَجَائِبَ. 2 يَقُولُ اللهُ: «أَنَا أَخْتَارُ مِيعَادِي وَبِالإِنْصَافِ أَنَا أَقْضِي. 3 عِنْدَمَا تَهْتَزُّ الأَرْضُ وَمَا فِيهَا مِنْ أَحْيَاءَ، أَنَا مَنْ يُوَطِّدُ أَرْكَانَهَا. 4 أَقُولُ لِلْمُتَغَطْرِسِينَ: لَا تَتَفَاخَرُوا فِيمَا بَعْدُ، 5 وَللأَشْرَارِ: لَا تَتَشَامَخُوا بِرُؤُوسِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَكَلَّمُوا بِأَعْنَاقٍ مُتَصَلِّفَةٍ». 6 فَإِنَّ الرِّفْعَةَ لَا تَأْتِي مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَلَا مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ. وَلَا مِنَ الشِّمَالِ وَلَا مِنَ الْجَنُوبِ. 7 فَاللهُ هُوَ الدَّيَّانُ، يَرْفَعُ وَاحِداً وَيَخْفِضُ آخَرَ. 8 فِي يَدِ الرَّبِّ كَأْسُ خَمْرٍ مُزْبِدَةٍ مَمْزُوجَةٍ. يَصُبُّهَا فَيَشْرَبُهَا كُلُّ الأَشْرَارِ حَتَّى ثُمَالَتِهَا. 9 أَمَّا أَنَا فَلَنْ أَكُفَّ عَنِ الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ إِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ. أُرَنِّمُ لَهُ دَائِماً. 10 يُحَطِّمُ قُوَّةَ الشِّرِّيرِ، أَمَّا قُوَّةُ الْبَارِّ فَتَعْظُمُ.

1 We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We[1] recount your wondrous deeds. (مز 145:18) 2 “At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity. (مز 17:2; مز 102:13; دا 8:19; حب 2:3) 3 When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah (1صم 2:8; إش 24:19) 4 I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn; (مز 75:10; زك 1:21) 5 do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’” 6 For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, (مز 3:3) 7 but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. (1صم 2:7; مز 50:6; دا 2:21) 8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs. (أي 21:20; مز 11:6; مز 73:10; أم 23:30) 9 But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. 10 All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. (1صم 2:1; مز 75:4; مز 89:17; مز 112:9; إر 48:25)
