1 انْتَظَرَتْ نَفْسِي اللهَ وَحْدَهُ. مِنْ لَدُنِهِ يَأْتِي خَلاصِي. 2 هُوَ وَحْدَهُ صَخْرَتِي وَخَلاصِي وَحِصْنِي الْمَنِيعُ، لِذَلِكَ لَا أَتَزَعْزَعُ أَبَداً. 3 إِلَى مَتَى تُوَالُونَ الْهُجُومَ عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ، وَتَسْعَوْنَ جَمِيعُكُمْ إِلَى هَدْمِهِ، كَأَنَّهُ حَائِطٌ مُتَدَاعٍ أَوْ سِيَاجٌ مُخَلْخَلٌ؟ 4 إِنَّمَا يَتَآمَرُونَ كَيْ يُطِيحُوا بِهِ عَنْ مَكَانَتِهِ الرَّفِيعَةِ، مُبْتَهِجِينَ بِالْكَذِبِ: يُبَارِكُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَلْعَنُونَ بِقُلُوبِهِمْ. 5 انْتَظَرَتْ نَفِسي اللهَ وَحْدَهُ؛ مِنْ لَدُنِهِ يَأْتِي خَلاصِي. 6 هُوَ وَحْدَهُ صَخْرَتِي وَخَلاصِي وَحِصْنِي الْمَنِيعُ، لِذَلِكَ لَا أَتَزَعْزَعُ أَبَداً. 7 فِي اللهِ خَلاصِي وَمَجْدِي. وَاللهُ هُوَ صَخْرَةُ قُوَّتِي وَمَلْجَإِي. 8 ثِقُوا بِهِ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ أَيُّهَا الشَّعْبُ. اسْكُبُوا أَمَامَهُ قُلُوبَكُمْ، اللهُ مَلْجَأُنَا. 9 لَيْسَ الْبَشَرُ جَمِيعاً، عُظَمَاءُ وَأَدْنِيَاءُ، سِوَى بَاطِلٍ وَوَهْمٍ. إنْ وَضَعْتَهُمْ فِي كَفَّةِ مِيزَانٍ لَا يَزِنُونَ شَيْئاً. إِنَّهُمْ أَخَفُّ مِنْ نَسَمَةٍ. 10 لَا تَتَّكِلُوا عَلَى الظُّلْمِ وَلَا تَتَفَاخَرُوا بِالسَّرِقَةِ. إنْ كَثُرَ الْغِنَى فَلَا تَعْتَمِدُوا عَلَيْهِ، 11 مَرَّةً تَكَلَّمَ الرَّبُّ وَمَرَّتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا: أَنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلهِ، 12 لَكَ الرَّحْمَةُ يَا رَبُّ فَأَنْتَ تُجَازِي كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ بِمُقْتَضَى عَمَلِهِ.

1 To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (مز 33:20; مز 37:7; مز 39:1) 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. (مز 9:9; مز 10:6; مز 18:2) 3 How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? (إش 30:13) 4 They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. (أي 13:11; مز 28:3) 5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. (مز 62:1) 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. (مز 62:2) 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. (مز 3:8; مز 14:6) 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. (مز 37:3; مز 42:4; مز 62:7) 9 Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath. (مز 39:5; مز 116:11; إش 40:17) 10 Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them. (مز 49:6; أم 1:10; لو 12:15) 11 Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, (أي 33:14; أي 40:5; مز 59:9; مز 59:17; رؤ 19:1) 12 and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work. (أي 34:11; مز 86:5; مز 86:15; مز 103:8; دا 9:9)
