Nachträge zur Gesetzgebung über das Heiligtum (Kap. 30-31)
1»Sodann sollst du einen Altar herstellen, um Räucherwerk auf ihm zu verbrennen; aus Akazienholz sollst du ihn anfertigen; (2Mo 37,25)2eine Elle lang und eine Elle breit, viereckig[1] soll er sein und zwei Ellen hoch; seine Hörner sollen aus einem Stück mit ihm bestehen.3Du sollst ihn, sowohl seine Platte als auch die Wände ringsum und die Hörner, mit feinem Gold überziehen und einen goldenen Kranz[2] ringsum an ihm anbringen.4Zwei goldene Ringe sollst du für ihn anfertigen und sie unterhalb seines Kranzes an seinen beiden Seiten anbringen; die sollen zur Aufnahme der Stangen dienen, mittels derer man ihn tragen kann.5Die Stangen sollst du aus Akazienholz anfertigen und sie mit Gold überziehen.6Du sollst den Altar dann vor dem Vorhang aufstellen, der sich vor der Gesetzeslade befindet, der Deckplatte gegenüber, die über dem Gesetz liegt, woselbst ich mit dir in Verkehr treten werde. (2Mo 29,43)7Aaron soll dann auf ihm wohlriechendes Räucherwerk verbrennen; an jedem Morgen, wenn er die Lampen zurechtmacht, soll er es verbrennen;8ebenso soll Aaron es verbrennen, wenn er gegen Abend die Lampen aufsetzt: ein regelmäßiges Rauchopfer vor dem HERRN soll es für ewige Zeiten sein.9Ihr dürft kein ungehöriges Räucherwerk und kein Brand- oder Speisopfer auf ihm darbringen; auch kein Trankopfer dürft ihr auf ihm ausgießen.10Aaron soll einmal im Jahr die Sühnehandlung an seinen Hörnern vornehmen; mit dem Blut des Versöhnungsopfers soll er einmal im Jahr die Sühnehandlung an ihm vornehmen, von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht: hochheilig ist er dem HERRN.«11Hierauf sagte der HERR zu Mose folgendes:12»Wenn du die Kopfzahl der Israeliten, soweit sie gemustert werden, aufnimmst, so sollen sie ein jeder ein Lösegeld für ihr Leben dem HERRN bei ihrer Musterung entrichten, damit keine schlimme Heimsuchung bei[3] ihrer Musterung über sie kommt.13Es soll also ein jeder, der sich der Musterung zu unterziehen hat, einen halben Schekel entrichten – nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums, wobei zwanzig Gera auf den Schekel gehen –, einen halben Schekel als Abgabe an den HERRN.14Jeder, der sich der Musterung zu unterziehen hat, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, soll die Abgabe an den HERRN entrichten:15der Reiche soll nicht mehr und der Arme nicht weniger als einen halben Schekel geben, wenn ihr die Abgabe an den HERRN entrichtet, um die Deckung[4] eures Lebens zu bewirken.16Du sollst also dieses Sühnegeld von den Israeliten erheben und es zur Bestreitung der Kosten des Dienstes am Offenbarungszelt verwenden; so wird es den Israeliten zum (gnädigen) Gedenken vor dem HERRN dienen, um Deckung eures Lebens zu bewirken.«17Weiter sagte der HERR zu Mose folgendes:18»Fertige auch ein kupfernes Becken nebst einem kupfernen Gestell dazu für die Waschungen an, stelle es zwischen dem Offenbarungszelt und dem Altar auf und tu Wasser hinein, (2Mo 37,8)19damit Aaron und seine Söhne ihre Hände und Füße daraus[5] waschen;20sooft sie in das Offenbarungszelt hineingehen, sollen sie sich mit Wasser waschen, damit sie nicht sterben, oder auch, wenn sie an den Altar treten, um ihren Dienst zu verrichten, indem sie Feueropfer für den HERRN in Rauch aufgehen lassen.21Da sollen sie sich dann ihre Hände und Füße waschen, damit sie nicht sterben; und dies soll eine ewiggültige Verordnung für sie sein, für Aaron und seine Nachkommen von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.«22Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:23»Nimm du dir Wohlgerüche von der besten Sorte, nämlich Stakte[6] fünfhundert Schekel, wohlriechenden Zimt halb soviel, also zweihundertundfünfzig Schekel, ferner wohlriechenden Kalmus[7] ebenfalls zweihundertundfünfzig Schekel24und Kassia fünfhundert Schekel nach dem Gewicht des Heiligtums, dazu ein Hin Olivenöl,25und stelle daraus ein heiliges Salböl her, eine Salbenmischung, wie sie der Salbenmischer herstellt: heiliges Salböl soll es sein.26Du sollst damit das Offenbarungszelt und die Gesetzeslade salben,27ferner den Tisch samt allen seinen Geräten, den Leuchter samt den zugehörigen Geräten und den Räucheraltar,28ferner den Brandopferaltar samt allen seinen Geräten und das Becken nebst seinem Gestell.29So sollst du sie heiligen, damit sie hochheilig werden: jeder, der sie berührt, soll dem Heiligtum verfallen sein!30Auch Aaron und seine Söhne sollst du salben und sie dadurch zu Priestern für meinen Dienst weihen.31Den Israeliten aber sollst du folgendes gebieten: ›Als ein mir heiliges Salböl soll dieses euch für alle eure Geschlechter gelten!32Auf keines Menschen Leib darf es gegossen werden! und ihr dürft solches Salböl nicht in der gleichen Zusammensetzung für euren eigenen Gebrauch bereiten: es ist heilig und soll euch auch als heilig gelten!33Wer ein gleiches durch Mischung herstellt und etwas davon an eine unbefugte Person bringt, der soll aus seinen Volksgenossen ausgerottet werden!‹«34Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes: »Nimm dir Gewürzkräuter, nämlich Stakte, Räucherklaue, Galban, [Gewürzkräuter] und reinen Weihrauch, alle zu gleichen Teilen, (2Mo 30,23)35und stelle daraus ein Räucherwerk her, eine würzige Mischung, wie sie der Salbenmischer herstellt, mit (etwas) Salz vermengt, sonst rein, zu heiligem Gebrauch bestimmt.36Zerstoße etwas davon zu feinem Pulver und lege etwas davon vor die Gesetzeslade im Offenbarungszelt, woselbst ich in Verkehr mit dir treten werde: als hochheilig soll es euch gelten! (2Mo 29,43)37Das Räucherwerk aber, das ihr für euch selbst bereitet, dürft ihr nicht in dem gleichen Mischungsverhältnis herstellen; nein, es soll dir als dem HERRN geheiligt gelten!38Wer sich das gleiche Räucherwerk bereitet, um seinen Wohlgeruch zu genießen, soll aus seinen Volksgenossen ausgerottet werden!«
1“You shall make an altar on which to burn incense; you shall make it of acacia wood. (2Mo 37,25; 2Mo 40,5; 3Mo 4,7; Offb 8,3)2A cubit[1] shall be its length, and a cubit its breadth. It shall be square, and two cubits shall be its height. Its horns shall be of one piece with it. (2Mo 27,2)3You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and around its sides and its horns. And you shall make a molding of gold around it. (2Mo 39,38; 2Mo 40,5; 2Mo 40,26; 4Mo 4,11)4And you shall make two golden rings for it. Under its molding on two opposite sides of it you shall make them, and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it. (2Mo 25,27)5You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.6And you shall put it in front of the veil that is above the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I will meet with you. (2Mo 25,21)7And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it. Every morning when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it, (2Mo 27,20; 2Mo 30,34; 2Mo 31,11; 2Mo 37,29; 2Mo 40,27; 1Sam 2,28; 1Chr 23,13; 2Chr 2,4; 2Chr 29,11; Lk 1,9)8and when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn it, a regular incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.9You shall not offer unauthorized incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering, and you shall not pour a drink offering on it. (3Mo 10,1)10Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year. With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations. The Census Tax
11The Lord said to Moses,12“When you take the census of the people of Israel, then each shall give a ransom for his life to the Lord when you number them, that there be no plague among them when you number them. (2Mo 21,30; 4Mo 1,2; 4Mo 26,2; 4Mo 31,50; 2Sam 24,2; Ps 49,7)13Each one who is numbered in the census shall give this: half a shekel[2] according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs),[3] half a shekel as an offering to the Lord. (1Mo 24,22; 2Mo 38,24; 2Mo 38,26; 3Mo 5,15; 3Mo 27,3; 3Mo 27,25; 4Mo 3,47; 4Mo 18,16; Hes 45,12; Mt 17,24)14Everyone who is numbered in the census, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the Lord’s offering.15The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when you give the Lord’s offering to make atonement for your lives. (2Mo 30,13)16You shall take the atonement money from the people of Israel and shall give it for the service of the tent of meeting, that it may bring the people of Israel to remembrance before the Lord, so as to make atonement for your lives.” (2Mo 28,12; 2Mo 38,25; 2Mo 39,7; 4Mo 16,40)
The Bronze Basin
17The Lord said to Moses,18“You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its stand of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it, (2Mo 40,7; 2Mo 40,30; 1Kön 7,38)19with which Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet. (2Mo 40,31; Ps 26,6; Jes 52,11; Hebr 10,22)20When they go into the tent of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn a food offering[4] to the Lord, they shall wash with water, so that they may not die.21They shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they may not die. It shall be a statute forever to them, even to him and to his offspring throughout their generations.” (2Mo 27,21)
The Anointing Oil and Incense
22The Lord said to Moses,23“Take the finest spices: of liquid myrrh 500 shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, 250, and 250 of aromatic cane, (Hl 4,14; Hes 27,19; Hes 27,22)24and 500 of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin[5] of olive oil. (2Mo 29,40)25And you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil. (2Mo 37,29; 4Mo 35,25; Ps 89,20; Ps 133,2)26With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony, (2Mo 40,9; 3Mo 8,10; 4Mo 7,1)27and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,28and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin and its stand. (2Mo 40,11)29You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them will become holy. (2Mo 29,37)30You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests. (2Mo 29,7)31And you shall say to the people of Israel, ‘This shall be my holy anointing oil throughout your generations.32It shall not be poured on the body of an ordinary person, and you shall make no other like it in composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. (2Mo 30,25; 2Mo 30,37)33Whoever compounds any like it or whoever puts any of it on an outsider shall be cut off from his people.’” (2Mo 30,38)34The Lord said to Moses, “Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense (of each shall there be an equal part), (2Mo 25,6; 2Mo 30,7; 2Mo 37,29)35and make an incense blended as by the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy. (2Mo 30,25; 3Mo 2,13)36You shall beat some of it very small, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting where I shall meet with you. It shall be most holy for you. (2Mo 25,22; 2Mo 40,10)37And the incense that you shall make according to its composition, you shall not make for yourselves. It shall be for you holy to the Lord. (2Mo 30,32)38Whoever makes any like it to use as perfume shall be cut off from his people.” (2Mo 30,33)
