Verteilung des Ostjordanlandes

1 Die Rubeniter und die Gaditer hatten sehr viel Vieh und sahen das Land Jaser und Gilead an als gute Weide für ihr Vieh (5Mo 3,12) 2 und kamen und sprachen zu Mose und zu dem Priester Eleasar und zu den Fürsten der Gemeinde: 3 Das Land Atarot, Dibon, Jaser, Nimra, Heschbon, Elale, Sibma, Nebo und Beon, 4 das der HERR geschlagen hat vor der Gemeinde Israel, ist Weideland, und deine Knechte haben Vieh. 5 Und sie sprachen weiter: Haben wir Gnade vor dir gefunden, so gebe man dieses Land deinen Knechten zu eigen, und lass uns nicht über den Jordan ziehen. 6 Mose sprach zu ihnen: Eure Brüder sollen in den Kampf ziehen und ihr wollt hierbleiben? 7 Warum wollt ihr den Israeliten den Mut nehmen, dass sie nicht hinüberziehen in das Land, das ihnen der HERR gegeben hat? 8 So machten es auch eure Väter, als ich sie aussandte von Kadesch-Barnea, um das Land zu erkunden; (4Mo 13,1) 9 und als sie hinaufgekommen waren bis an den Bach Eschkol und das Land sahen, machten sie das Herz der Israeliten abwendig, dass sie nicht in das Land wollten, das ihnen der HERR geben wollte. 10 Und des HERRN Zorn entbrannte zur selben Zeit, und er schwor: 11 Wahrlich, diese Leute, die aus Ägypten gezogen sind, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, sollen das Land nicht sehen, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob zugeschworen habe, weil sie mir nicht treu nachgefolgt sind, (4Mo 14,22; 4Mo 26,65) 12 ausgenommen Kaleb, der Sohn Jefunnes, des Kenasiters, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns; denn sie sind dem HERRN treu nachgefolgt. (4Mo 14,7; Jos 14,6) 13 So entbrannte des HERRN Zorn über Israel, und er ließ sie hin und her in der Wüste ziehen vierzig Jahre, bis es zu Ende war mit dem ganzen Geschlecht, das übel getan hatte vor dem HERRN. 14 Und siehe, ihr seid aufgetreten an eurer Väter statt als Brut von Sündern, damit sich der grimmige Zorn des HERRN gegen Israel noch vermehrt. 15 Denn wenn ihr euch von ihm wendet, so wird er das Volk noch länger in der Wüste lassen, und ihr werdet es ganz zugrunde richten. 16 Da traten sie heran und sprachen: Wir wollen nur Schafhürden hier bauen für unser Vieh und Städte für unsere Kinder; 17 wir aber wollen eilends gerüstet vor den Israeliten einherziehen, bis wir sie an ihren Ort gebracht haben. Unsere Kinder aber sollen in den festen Städten bleiben um der Bewohner des Landes willen. 18 Wir wollen nicht heimkehren, bis von den Israeliten ein jeder sein Erbe eingenommen hat. 19 Denn wir wollen nicht mit ihnen jenseits des Jordans Erbbesitz erhalten, sondern unser Erbteil soll uns diesseits des Jordans nach Osten hin zufallen. (Jos 13,8) 20 Mose sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr das tun wollt, so rüstet euch zum Kampf vor dem HERRN. (Jos 1,12) 21 Wer unter euch gerüstet ist, der ziehe über den Jordan vor dem HERRN, bis er seine Feinde vertrieben hat vor sich her 22 und das Land unterworfen ist vor dem HERRN. Danach sollt ihr zurückkehren und ohne Schuld sein vor dem HERRN und vor Israel und sollt dies Land zu eigen haben vor dem HERRN. 23 Wenn ihr das aber nicht tut, siehe, so werdet ihr euch an dem HERRN versündigen. Ihr sollt aber wissen: Es ist eure Sünde, die euch treffen wird. 24 So baut nun Städte für eure Kinder und Hürden für euer Vieh und tut, was ihr gelobt habt. (4Mo 30,3) 25 Die Gaditer und die Rubeniter sprachen zu Mose: Deine Knechte werden tun, wie mein Herr geboten hat. 26 Unsere Kinder und Frauen, unsere Habe und all unser Vieh sollen in den Städten Gileads bleiben; 27 deine Knechte aber wollen alle gerüstet zum Heer in den Kampf ziehen vor dem HERRN, wie mein Herr gesagt hat. 28 Da gebot Mose ihretwegen dem Priester Eleasar und Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, und den Häuptern der Sippen unter den Stämmen Israels 29 und sprach zu ihnen: Wenn die Gaditer und die Rubeniter mit euch über den Jordan ziehen, alle gerüstet zum Kampf vor dem HERRN, und das Land euch untertan ist, so gebt ihnen das Land Gilead zu eigen. 30 Ziehen sie aber nicht gerüstet mit euch hinüber, so sollen sie mit euch erben im Lande Kanaan. 31 Die Gaditer und die Rubeniter antworteten und sprachen: Wie der HERR redet zu deinen Knechten, so wollen wir tun. 32 Wir wollen gerüstet hinüberziehen vor dem HERRN ins Land Kanaan und unser Erbteil besitzen diesseits des Jordans. 33 Also gab Mose den Gaditern und den Rubenitern und dem halben Stamm Manasses, des Sohnes Josefs, das Königreich Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und das Königreich Ogs, des Königs von Baschan, das Land samt den Städten ringsumher mit ihrem ganzen Gebiet. (Jos 13,15) 34 Und die Gaditer bauten Dibon, Atarot, Aroër, 35 Atrot-Schofan, Jaser, Jogboha, 36 Bet-Nimra und Bet-Haran, feste Städte und Schafhürden. 37 Die Rubeniter bauten Heschbon, Elale, Kirjatajim, 38 Nebo, Baal-Meon und Sibma und gaben den Städten, die sie bauten, ihre bisherigen Namen. 39 Und die Söhne Machirs, des Sohnes Manasses, gingen nach Gilead und eroberten es und vertrieben die Amoriter, die darin waren. 40 Da gab Mose dem Machir, dem Sohn Manasses, Gilead und er wohnte darin. 41 Jaïr aber, der Sohn Manasses, ging hin und eroberte ihre Dörfer und nannte sie »Dörfer Jaïrs«. (5Mo 3,14; Ri 10,3) 42 Nobach ging hin und eroberte Kenat mit seinen Ortschaften und nannte es Nobach nach seinem Namen.

1 وَكَانَ لِسِبْطَيْ رَأُوبَيْنَ وَجَادٍ مَوَاشٍ كَثِيرَةٌ جِدّاً. فَلَمَّا أَقْبَلُوا عَلَى أَرْضِ يَعَزِيرَ وَأَرْضِ جِلْعَادَ وَجَدُوا أَنَّهَا صَالِحَةٌ لِرَعْيِ الْمَوَاشِي. 2 فَقَالُوا لِمُوسَى وَأَلِعَازَارَ الْكَاهِنِ وَرُؤَسَاءِ الشَّعْبِ: 3 «إِنَّ أَرَاضِي عَطَارُوتَ وَدِيبُونَ وَيَعَزِيرَ وَنِمْرَةَ وَحَشْبُونَ وَأَلِعَالَةَ وَشَبَامَ وَنَبُو وَبَعُونَ 4 الأَرَاضِي الَّتِي أَخْضَعَهَا الرَّبُّ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ هِيَ مَرَاعٍ صَالِحَةٌ لِرَعْيِ مَوَاشِي عَبِيدِكَ. 5 فَإِنْ حَسُنَ لَدَيْكَ، أَعْطِ هَذِهِ الأَرَاضِي لِعَبِيدِكَ مُلْكاً، وَلا تَدَعْنَا نَعْبُرُ نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ». 6 فَقَالَ مُوسَى لأَبْنَاءِ سِبْطَيْ جَادٍ وَرَأُوبَيْنَ: «أَيَنْطَلِقُ إِخْوَتُكُمْ لِخَوْضِ الْحَرْبِ وَأَنْتُمْ هُنَا قَاعِدُونَ؟ 7 لِمَاذَا تُضْعِفُونَ قُلُوبَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ عَنِ الْعُبُورِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا الرَّبُّ لَهُمْ؟ 8 إِنَّ هَذَا مَا فَعَلَهُ آبَاؤُكُمْ حِينَ أَرْسَلْتُهُمْ مِنْ قَادَشَ بَرْنِيعَ لِيَتَجَسَّسُوا الأَرْضَ، 9 فَبَعْدَ أَنْ بَلَغُوا وَادِي أَشْكُولَ وَتَجَسَّسُوا الأَرْضَ أَضْعَفُوا قُلُوبَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ عَنِ الْعُبُورِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا الرَّبُّ لَهُمْ. 10 فَاحْتَدَمَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ غَضَبُ الرَّبِّ وَقَالَ: 11 لأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يُطِيعُونِي مِنْ كُلِّ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَإِنَّ الرِّجَالَ مِنِ ابْنِ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً فَمَا فَوْقُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ مِصْرَ لَنْ يَرَوْا الأَرْضَ الَّتِي أَقْسَمْتُ أَنْ أَهَبَهَا لِنَسْلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ، 12 مَاعَدَا كَالَبَ بْنَ يَفُنَّةَ الْقِنِزِّيَّ وَيَشُوعَ بْنَ نُونٍ، لأَنَّهُمَا أَطَاعَانِي مِنْ كُلِّ قَلْبَيْهِمَا. 13 وَإِذِ اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ الرَّبِّ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَتَاهَهُمْ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، حَتَّى فَنِيَ كُلُّ الْجِيلِ الَّذِي ارْتَكَبَ الشَّرَّ فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ. 14 وَهَا أَنْتُمْ نِتَاجُ تَرْبِيَةِ قَوْمٍ خُطَاةٍ، تَرْتَكِبُونَ وِزْرَ آبَائِكُمْ، لِتَزِيدُوا مِنْ شِدَّةِ غَضَبِهِ عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ. 15 لأَنَّكُمْ إِنْ تَخَلَّيْتُمْ عَنْ طَاعَتِهِ، يَعُودُ وَيَتْرُكُهُمْ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ وَتَكُونُونَ أَنْتُمْ سَبَبَ هَلاكِهِمْ». 16 فَاقْتَرَبُوا مِنْهُ وَقَالُوا: «سَنَبْنِي حَظَائِرَ لِمَوَاشِينَا وَمُدُناً لأَطْفَالِنَا وَنِسَائِنَا، 17 أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَنَتَسَلَّحُ وَنَنْطَلِقُ مُسْرِعِينَ أَمَامَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغُوا أَمَاكِنَهُمْ بَيْنَمَا يَمْكُثُ نِسَاؤُنَا وَأَطْفَالُنَا فِي مُدُنٍ مُحَصَّنَةٍ تَقِيهِمْ هَجْمَاتِ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ، 18 وَلا نَرْجِعُ إِلَى بُيُوتِنَا حَتَّى يَمْتَلِكَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمِيرَاثِ. 19 وَإِنَّنَا لَا نَرِثُ مَعَهُمْ شَيْئاً فِي غَرْبِيِّ نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ، لأَنَّنَا قَدْ حَصَلْنَا عَلَى نَصِيبِنَا فِي الأَرَاضِي الْوَاقِعَةِ فِي شَرْقِيِّهِ». 20 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَى: «إِنْ وَفَيْتُمْ بِعَهْدِكُمْ فَحَمَلْتُمُ السِّلاحَ لِخَوْضِ الْحَرْبِ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ، 21 وَعَبَرَ كُلُّ مُتَسَلِّحٍ مِنْكُمْ نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ لِيُحَارِبَ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ حَتَّى يَتِمَّ طَرْدُ أَعْدَائِهِ مِنْ أَمَامِهِ، 22 فَتَخْضَعُ الأَرْضُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الرَّبِّ، وَبَعْدَهَا تَرْجِعُونَ، عِنْدَئِذٍ تَكُونُونَ أَبْرِيَاءَ عِنْدَ الرَّبِّ وَعِنْدَ شَعْبِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَتُصْبِحُ هَذِهِ الأَرْضُ مُلْكاً لَكُمْ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ. 23 وَلَكِنْ إِنْ نَكَثْتُمْ بِتَعَهُّدِكُمْ فَإِنَّكُمْ تُخْطِئُونَ إِلَى الرَّبِّ. وَثِقُوا أَنَّ خَطِيئَتَكُمْ سَتُلاحِقُكُمْ. 24 ابْنُوا مُدُناً لِنِسَائِكُمْ وَأَطْفَالِكُمْ، وَحَظَائِرَ لِغَنَمِكُمْ، وَنَفِّذُوا مَا تَعَهَّدْتُمْ بِهِ». 25 فَأَجَابَ أَبْنَاءُ سِبْطَيْ جَادٍ وَرَأُوبَيْنَ مُوسَى: «سَيَفْعَلُ عَبِيدُكَ كَأَمْرِ سَيِّدِهِمْ، 26 إِذْ يَمْكُثُ أَطْفَالُنَا وَنِسَاؤُنَا وَمَوَاشِينَا وَكُلُّ بَهَائِمِنَا فِي مُدُنِ جِلْعَادَ، 27 بَيْنَمَا يَعْبُرُ كُلُّ مُنْخَرِطٍ فِي الْجَيْشِ مِنْ عَبِيدِكَ نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ لِلْحَرْبِ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ كَمَا أَمَرَ سَيِّدُنَا». 28 فَأَوْصَى بِهِمْ مُوسَى أَلِعَازَارَ الْكَاهِنَ وَيَشُوعَ بْنَ نُونٍ وَرُؤَسَاءَ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ 29 قَائِلاً: «إِنْ عَبَرَ مَعَكُمْ نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ كُلُّ مُتَجَرِّدٍ لِلْحَرْبِ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الرَّبِّ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ سِبْطَيْ جَادٍ وَرَأُوبَيْنَ، وَتَمَّ الاسْتِيلاءُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ، تُوَرِّثُونَهُمْ أَرْضَ جِلْعَادَ مُلْكاً. 30 وَلَكِنْ إِنْ تَقَاعَسُوا عَنِ الْعُبُورِ لِخَوْضِ الْحَرْبِ مَعَكُمْ، فَإِنَّكُمْ تُوَرِّثُونَهُمْ فِي وَسَطِكُمْ فِي أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ». 31 فَأَجَابَ أَبْنَاءُ سِبْطَيْ جَادٍ وَرَأُوبَيْنَ: «كُلُّ مَا تَكَلَّمَ الرَّبُّ بِهِ مِنْ نَحْوِ عَبِيدِكَ نَلْتَزِمُ بِهِ، 32 فَإِنَّنَا نَعْبُرُ بِكَامِلِ أَسْلِحَتِنَا لِنُحَارِبَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الرَّبِّ فِي أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ، وَلَكِنَّنَا لَا نَرِثُ نَصِيباً فِي غَرْبِيِّ الأُرْدُنِّ». 33 فَوَهَبَ مُوسَى أَبْنَاءَ سِبْطَيْ جَادٍ وَرَأُوبَيْنَ وَأَبْنَاءَ نِصْفِ سِبْطِ مَنَسَّى بْنِ يُوسُفَ مَمْلَكَةَ سِيحُونَ مَلِكِ الأَمُورِيِّينَ، وَمَمْلَكَةَ عُوجٍ مَلِكِ بَاشَانَ بِمَا فِيهِمَا مِنْ أَرَاضٍ وَمُدُنٍ وَاقِعَةٍ ضِمْنَ حُدُودِهِمَا. 34 فَرَمَّمَ أَبْنَاءُ سِبْطِ جَادٍ مُدُنَ دِيبُونَ وَعَطَاروُتَ وَعَرُوعِيرَ، 35 وَعَطْرُوتَ شُوفَانَ وَيَعَزِيرَ وَيَجْبَهَةَ، 36 وَبَيْتَ نِمْرَةَ وَبَيْتَ هَارَانَ، وَجَعَلُوهَا مُدُناً مُحَصَّنَةً وَبَنَوْا أَيْضاً حَظَائِرَ لِغَنَمِهِمْ. 37 وَبَنَى أَبْنَاءُ رَأُوبَيْنَ مُدُنَ حَشْبُونَ وَأَلِعَالَةَ وَقِرْيَتَايِمَ، 38 وَنَبُو وَبَعْلَ مَعُونَ اللَّتَيْنِ تَمَّ تَغْيِيرُ اسْمَيْهِمَا، وَسَبْمَةَ وَأَطْلَقُوا أَسْمَاءَ أُخْرَى عَلَى الْمُدُنِ الَّتِي بَنَوْهَا. 39 وَتَوَجَّهَ أَبْنَاءُ مَاكيِرَ مِنْ سِبْطِ مَنَسَّى نَحْوَ جِلْعَادَ وَاسْتَوْلَوْا عَلَيْهَا، وَطَرَدُوا الأَمُورِيِّينَ مِنْهَا، 40 فَوَهَبَ مُوسَى جِلْعَادَ لِنَسْلِ مَاكِيرَ بْنِ مَنَسَّى فَأَقَامُوا فِيهَا. 41 وَاسْتَوْلَى يَائِيرُ مِنْ سِبْطِ مَنَسَّى عَلَى مَزَارِعِ جِلْعَادَ، وَدَعَاهَا حَوُّوثَ يَائِيرَ (وَمَعْنَاهَا قُرَى يَائِيرَ). 42 كَمَا انْطَلَقَ نُوبَحُ وَتَمَلَّكَ قَنَاةَ وَالْقُرَى الْمُحِيطَةَ بِها وَأَطْلَقَ عَلَيْهَا اسْمَهُ «نُوبَحَ».

The Transjordan tribes

1 The Reubenites and Gadites, who had very large herds and flocks, saw that the lands of Jazer and Gilead were suitable for livestock. 2 So they came to Moses and Eleazar the priest and to the leaders of the community, and said, 3 ‘Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo and Beon – 4 the land the Lord subdued before the people of Israel – are suitable for livestock, and your servants have livestock. 5 If we have found favour in your eyes,’ they said, ‘let this land be given to your servants as our possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan.’ 6 Moses said to the Gadites and Reubenites, ‘Should your fellow Israelites go to war while you sit here? 7 Why do you discourage the Israelites from crossing over into the land the Lord has given them? 8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to look over the land. 9 After they went up to the Valley of Eshkol and viewed the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the Lord had given them. 10 The Lord’s anger was aroused that day and he swore this oath: 11 “Because they have not followed me wholeheartedly, not one of those who were twenty years old or more when they came up out of Egypt will see the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – 12 not one except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they followed the Lord wholeheartedly.” 13 The Lord’s anger burned against Israel and he made them wander in the wilderness for forty years, until the whole generation of those who had done evil in his sight was gone. 14 ‘And here you are, a brood of sinners, standing in the place of your fathers and making the Lord even more angry with Israel. 15 If you turn away from following him, he will again leave all this people in the wilderness, and you will be the cause of their destruction.’ 16 Then they came up to him and said, ‘We would like to build pens here for our livestock and cities for our women and children. 17 But we will arm ourselves for battle^[1] and go ahead of the Israelites until we have brought them to their place. Meanwhile our women and children will live in fortified cities, for protection from the inhabitants of the land. 18 We will not return to our homes until each of the Israelites has received their inheritance. 19 We will not receive any inheritance with them on the other side of the Jordan, because our inheritance has come to us on the east side of the Jordan.’ 20 Then Moses said to them, ‘If you will do this – if you will arm yourselves before the Lord for battle 21 and if all of you who are armed cross over the Jordan before the Lord until he has driven his enemies out before him – 22 then when the land is subdued before the Lord, you may return and be free from your obligation to the Lord and to Israel. And this land will be your possession before the Lord. 23 ‘But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the Lord; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out. 24 Build cities for your women and children, and pens for your flocks, but do what you have promised.’ 25 The Gadites and Reubenites said to Moses, ‘We your servants will do as our lord commands. 26 Our children and wives, our flocks and herds will remain here in the cities of Gilead. 27 But your servants, every man who is armed for battle, will cross over to fight before the Lord, just as our lord says.’ 28 Then Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and to the family heads of the Israelite tribes. 29 He said to them, ‘If the Gadites and Reubenites, every man armed for battle, cross over the Jordan with you before the Lord, then when the land is subdued before you, you must give them the land of Gilead as their possession. 30 But if they do not cross over with you armed, they must accept their possession with you in Canaan.’ 31 The Gadites and Reubenites answered, ‘Your servants will do what the Lord has said. 32 We will cross over before the Lord into Canaan armed, but the property we inherit will be on this side of the Jordan.’ 33 Then Moses gave to the Gadites, the Reubenites and the half-tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan – the whole land with its cities and the territory around them. 34 The Gadites built up Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer, 35 Atroth Shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah, 36 Beth Nimrah and Beth Haran as fortified cities, and built pens for their flocks. 37 And the Reubenites rebuilt Heshbon, Elealeh and Kiriathaim, 38 as well as Nebo and Baal Meon (these names were changed) and Sibmah. They gave names to the cities they rebuilt. 39 The descendants of Makir son of Manasseh went to Gilead, captured it and drove out the Amorites who were there. 40 So Moses gave Gilead to the Makirites, the descendants of Manasseh, and they settled there. 41 Jair, a descendant of Manasseh, captured their settlements and called them Havvoth Jair.^[2] 42 And Nobah captured Kenath and its surrounding settlements and called it Nobah after himself.

Не переводи нас через Иордан. 6 Муса сказал гадитам и рувимитам: – Ваши братья пойдут на войну, а вы будете сидеть здесь? 7 Зачем вы отбиваете у исраильтян охоту перейти в землю, которую дал им Вечный? 8 Так сделали ваши отцы, когда я посылал их из Кадеш-Барни осмотреть эту землю. 9 Придя в долину Эшкол и осмотрев землю, они отбили у исраильтян охоту войти в землю, которую дал им Вечный. 10 В тот день Вечный разгневался и поклялся: 11 «Никто из покинувших Египет, от двадцати лет и старше, не увидит землю, которую Я клятвенно обещал Ибрахиму, Исхаку и Якубу, потому что они не повиновались Мне от всего сердца – 12 никто, кроме Халева, сына кенезеянина Иефоннии, и Иешуа, сына Нуна, которые от всего сердца повиновались Вечному». 13 Вечный разгневался на Исраил и заставил народ сорок лет скитаться по пустыне, пока всё то поколение, которое сделало в Его глазах зло, не сгинуло. 14 А теперь вы, отродье грешников, встали на место ваших отцов и ещё сильнее разжигаете гнев Вечного на Исраил! 15 Если вы откажетесь повиноваться Вечному, то Он снова оставит этот народ в пустыне, а вы будете виновниками их гибели. 16 Они подошли к Мусе и сказали: – Мы построим здесь загоны для скота и города для наших жён и детей, 17 а потом будем готовы вооружиться и идти перед исраильтянами, пока не приведём их в их надел. Тем временем наши жёны и дети будут жить в укреплённых городах, в безопасности от жителей этой земли. 18 Мы не вернёмся домой, пока каждый исраильтянин не получит свой надел. 19 Мы не получим надел с ними на той стороне Иордана, потому что наш надел достался нам на этой, восточной стороне. 20 Муса сказал им: – Если вы сделаете это, если вооружитесь, чтобы воевать для Вечного, 21 и каждый из вас, кто вооружён, переправится перед Вечным за Иордан, пока Он не прогонит Своих врагов перед Собой, 22 то когда земля будет покорена Вечному, вы можете вернуться. Тогда вы будете свободными от обязательства Вечному и Исраилу, а эта земля будет вашим владением перед Вечным. 23 Но если вы не сделаете этого, то вы согрешите против Вечного, и знайте: вам не избежать наказания за грех. 24 Стройте города для жён и детей и загоны для отар, но исполните то, что обещали. 25 Гадиты и рувимиты сказали Мусе: – Мы – твои рабы. Мы сделаем, как велит наш господин. 26 Наши дети и жёны, отары и весь наш скот останутся здесь, в городах Галаада. 27 А твои рабы, все вооружённые для битвы, переправятся, чтобы воевать перед Вечным, как велит наш господин. 28 Тогда Муса отдал распоряжение о них священнослужителю Элеазару, Иешуа, сыну Нуна, и главам семейств исраильского народа. 29 Он сказал им: – Если гадиты и рувимиты, все вооружённые для битвы, переправятся с вами за Иордан перед Вечным, то, когда земля покорится вам, отдайте им во владение землю Галаада. 30 А если они не переправятся с вами вооружённые, то пусть они примут свой надел с вами в Ханаане. 31 Гадиты и рувимиты ответили: – Мы – твои рабы. Мы сделаем так, как сказал Вечный. 32 Мы с оружием переправимся перед Вечным в Ханаан, но пусть удел, который нам достался, останется за нами на этой стороне реки Иордан. 33 Тогда Муса отдал родам Гада, Рувима и половине рода Манассы, сына Юсуфа, царство Сигона, царя аморреев, и царство Ога, царя Башана, – всю землю с её городами и их окрестностями. 34 Гадиты построили Дивон, Атарот, Ароер, 35 Атарот-Шофан, Иазер, Иогбегу, 36 Бет-Нимру и Бет-Аран, города-крепости и загоны для скота. 37 А рувимиты отстроили города Хешбон, Элеале, Кириатаим, 38 Нево и Баал-Меон (их названия были изменены) и Сивму. Они дали отстроенным городам другие имена. 39 Потомки Махира, сына Манассы, пришли в Галаад, захватили его и прогнали оттуда аморреев. 40 Муса отдал Галаад махиритам, потомкам Манассы, и они поселились там. 41 Иаир, потомок Манассы, захватил здесь несколько поселений и назвал их Хаввот-Иаир («селения Иаира»). 42 А Нова захватил Кенат с окрестными поселениями и назвал его в свою честь Нова.
