Der besessene Gerasener

1 Und sie kamen ans andre Ufer des Meeres in die Gegend der Gerasener. (Mt 8,28; Lk 8,26) 2 Und als er aus dem Boot stieg, lief ihm alsbald von den Gräbern her ein Mensch entgegen mit einem unreinen Geist. 3 Der hatte seine Wohnung in den Grabhöhlen. Und niemand konnte ihn mehr binden, auch nicht mit einer Kette; 4 denn er war oft mit Fesseln an den Füßen und mit Ketten gebunden gewesen und hatte die Ketten zerrissen und die Fesseln zerrieben; und niemand konnte ihn bändigen. 5 Und er war allezeit, Tag und Nacht, in den Grabhöhlen und auf den Bergen, schrie und schlug sich mit Steinen. (Jes 65,3) 6 Da er aber Jesus sah von ferne, lief er hinzu und fiel vor ihm nieder, 7 schrie laut und sprach: Was habe ich mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus, du Sohn des höchsten Gottes? Ich beschwöre dich bei Gott: Quäle mich nicht! (Mk 1,24; Mk 3,11) 8 Denn er hatte zu ihm gesagt: Fahre aus, du unreiner Geist, von dem Menschen! 9 Und er fragte ihn: Wie heißt du? Und er sprach zu ihm: Legion heiße ich; denn wir sind viele. 10 Und er bat Jesus sehr, dass er sie nicht aus der Gegend vertreibe. 11 Es war aber dort am Berg eine große Herde Säue auf der Weide. 12 Und die unreinen Geister baten ihn und sprachen: Lass uns in die Säue fahren! 13 Und er erlaubte es ihnen. Da fuhren sie aus und fuhren in die Säue, und die Herde stürmte den Abhang hinunter ins Meer, etwa zweitausend, und sie ersoffen im Meer. 14 Und die Sauhirten flohen und verkündeten das in der Stadt und auf dem Lande. Und die Leute gingen, um zu sehen, was da geschehen war, 15 und kamen zu Jesus und sahen den Besessenen, der den Geist »Legion« gehabt hatte, wie er dasaß, bekleidet und vernünftig, und sie fürchteten sich. 16 Und die es gesehen hatten, erzählten ihnen, was dem Besessenen widerfahren war und das von den Säuen. 17 Und sie fingen an und baten Jesus, aus ihrem Gebiet fortzugehen. 18 Und als er in das Boot stieg, bat ihn, der zuvor besessen war, dass er bei ihm bleiben dürfe. 19 Aber er ließ es ihm nicht zu, sondern sprach zu ihm: Geh hin in dein Haus zu den Deinen und verkünde ihnen, welch große Dinge der Herr an dir getan und wie er sich deiner erbarmt hat. 20 Und er ging hin und fing an, in den Zehn Städten auszurufen, wie viel Jesus an ihm getan hatte; und jedermann verwunderte sich. (Mk 7,31)

Die Heilung einer blutflüssigen Frau und die Auferweckung der Tochter des Jaïrus

21 Und als Jesus im Boot wieder ans andre Ufer gefahren war, versammelte sich eine große Menge bei ihm, und er war am Meer. (Mt 9,18; Lk 8,40) 22 Da kam einer von den Vorstehern der Synagoge, mit Namen Jaïrus. Und als er Jesus sah, fiel er ihm zu Füßen 23 und bat ihn sehr und sprach: Meine Tochter liegt in den letzten Zügen; komm und lege ihr die Hände auf, dass sie gesund werde und lebe. 24 Und er ging hin mit ihm. Und es folgte ihm eine große Menge, und sie umdrängten ihn. 25 Und da war eine Frau, die hatte den Blutfluss seit zwölf Jahren (3Mo 15,25) 26 und hatte viel erlitten von vielen Ärzten und all ihr Gut dafür aufgewandt; und es hatte ihr nichts geholfen, sondern es war nur schlimmer geworden. 27 Da sie von Jesus gehört hatte, kam sie in der Menge von hinten heran und berührte sein Gewand. 28 Denn sie sagte sich: Wenn ich nur seine Kleider berühre, so werde ich gesund. (Mk 3,10) 29 Und sogleich versiegte die Quelle ihres Blutes, und sie spürte es am Leibe, dass sie von ihrer Plage geheilt war. 30 Und Jesus spürte sogleich an sich selbst, dass eine Kraft von ihm ausgegangen war, wandte sich um in der Menge und sprach: Wer hat meine Kleider berührt? (Lk 6,19) 31 Und seine Jünger sprachen zu ihm: Du siehst, dass dich die Menge umdrängt, und sprichst: Wer hat mich berührt? 32 Und er sah sich um nach der, die das getan hatte. 33 Die Frau aber fürchtete sich und zitterte, denn sie wusste, was an ihr geschehen war; sie kam und fiel vor ihm nieder und sagte ihm die ganze Wahrheit. 34 Er aber sprach zu ihr: Meine Tochter, dein Glaube hat dich gesund gemacht; geh hin in Frieden und sei gesund von deiner Plage! (Mk 10,52) 35 Als er noch redete, kamen Leute vom Vorsteher der Synagoge und sprachen: Deine Tochter ist gestorben; was bemühst du weiter den Meister? 36 Jesus aber hörte nicht auf das, was da gesagt wurde, und sprach zu dem Vorsteher: Fürchte dich nicht, glaube nur! 37 Und er ließ niemanden mit sich gehen als Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus. (Mt 17,1) 38 Und sie kamen in das Haus des Vorstehers, und er sah das Getümmel und wie sehr sie weinten und heulten. 39 Und er ging hinein und sprach zu ihnen: Was lärmt und weint ihr? Das Kind ist nicht gestorben, sondern es schläft. (Joh 11,11) 40 Und sie verlachten ihn. Er aber trieb sie alle hinaus und nahm mit sich den Vater des Kindes und die Mutter und die bei ihm waren, und ging hinein, wo das Kind lag, 41 und ergriff das Kind bei der Hand und sprach zu ihm: Talita kum! – das heißt übersetzt: Mädchen, ich sage dir, steh auf! (Lk 7,14; Apg 9,40) 42 Und sogleich stand das Mädchen auf und ging umher; es war aber zwölf Jahre alt. Und sie entsetzten sich sogleich über die Maßen. 43 Und er gebot ihnen streng, dass es niemand wissen sollte, und sagte, sie sollten ihr zu essen geben. (Mk 1,44)

1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. 6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. 9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. 10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. 11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. 12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. 13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. 14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. 15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. 17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. 18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. 21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. 22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. 24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. 35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. 37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. 38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. 39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. 41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. 43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
