(Offb 8,8)4Und der dritte goss aus seine Schale in die Wasserströme und in die Wasserquellen; und es wurde Blut.5Und ich hörte den Engel der Wasser sagen: Gerecht bist du, der du bist und der du warst, du Heiliger, dass du dieses Urteil gesprochen hast;6denn sie haben das Blut der Heiligen und der Propheten vergossen, und Blut hast du ihnen zu trinken gegeben; sie sind’s wert. (Offb 6,9)7Und ich hörte den Altar sagen: Ja, Herr, allmächtiger Gott, deine Gerichte sind wahrhaftig und gerecht. (Offb 9,13)8Und der vierte Engel goss aus seine Schale über die Sonne; und es wurde ihr Macht gegeben, die Menschen zu versengen mit Feuer.9Und die Menschen wurden versengt von der großen Hitze und lästerten den Namen Gottes, der Macht hat über diese Plagen, und taten nicht Buße, ihm die Ehre zu geben.10Und der fünfte Engel goss aus seine Schale auf den Thron des Tieres; und sein Reich wurde verfinstert, und die Menschen zerbissen ihre Zungen vor Schmerzen (2Mo 10,21)11und lästerten Gott im Himmel wegen ihrer Schmerzen und wegen ihrer Geschwüre und taten nicht Buße für ihre Werke.12Und der sechste goss aus seine Schale auf den großen Strom Euphrat; und sein Wasser trocknete aus, damit der Weg bereitet würde den Königen vom Aufgang der Sonne. (Jes 11,15)13Und ich sah aus dem Rachen des Drachen und aus dem Rachen des Tieres und aus dem Munde des falschen Propheten drei unreine Geister kommen, gleich Fröschen; (Offb 12,3)14es sind Geister von Dämonen, die tun Zeichen und gehen aus zu den Königen der ganzen Welt, sie zu versammeln zum Kampf am großen Tag Gottes, des Allmächtigen. –15Siehe, ich komme wie ein Dieb. Selig ist, der da wacht und seine Kleider bewahrt, damit er nicht nackt gehe und man seine Blöße sehe. – (Offb 3,3)16Und er versammelte sie an einen Ort, der heißt auf Hebräisch Harmagedon.17Und der siebente Engel goss aus seine Schale in die Luft; und es kam eine große Stimme aus dem Tempel vom Thron, die sprach: Es ist geschehen!18Und es geschahen Blitze und Stimmen und Donner, und es geschah ein großes Erdbeben, wie es noch nicht gewesen ist, seit Menschen auf Erden sind – ein solches Erdbeben, so groß.19Und aus der großen Stadt wurden drei Teile, und die Städte der Völker stürzten ein. Und Babylon, der Großen, wurde gedacht vor Gott, dass ihr gegeben werde der Kelch mit dem Wein seines grimmigen Zorns. (Offb 14,8)20Und alle Inseln verschwanden, und die Berge wurden nicht mehr gefunden. (Offb 6,14)21Und ein großer Hagel wie Zentnergewichte fiel vom Himmel auf die Menschen; und die Menschen lästerten Gott wegen der Plage des Hagels; denn diese Plage ist sehr groß. (2Mo 9,23)
1Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” (Ps 79,6; Jer 10,25; Zef 3,8; Offb 15,1; Offb 15,7)2So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. (2Mo 9,9; Offb 13,16; Offb 16,11)3The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea. (Offb 8,8; Offb 8,9)4The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. (2Mo 7,17; Offb 8,10)5And I heard the angel in charge of the waters[1] say, “Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments. (Jer 12,1; Joh 17,25; Offb 1,4; Offb 1,8; Offb 4,8; Offb 11,17; Offb 15,4)6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!” (Jes 49,26; Lk 11,49; Offb 11,18; Offb 13,15; Offb 18,24)7And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!” (Ps 119,137; Offb 6,9; Offb 15,3; Offb 19,2)8The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. (Offb 9,17; Offb 14,18)9They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed[2] the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory. (Dan 5,22; Dan 5,23; Offb 2,21; Offb 11,13; Offb 16,11; Offb 16,21)10The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish (2Mo 10,21; Offb 9,2; Offb 13,2)11and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds. (Offb 2,21; Offb 11,13; Offb 16,2)12The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. (Jes 11,15; Jes 41,2; Jes 41,25; Jes 44,27; Jes 46,11; Jer 50,38; Jer 51,32; Jer 51,36; Offb 7,2; Offb 9,14)13And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. (2Mo 8,6; Offb 12,3; Offb 12,9; Offb 13,1; Offb 13,11; Offb 13,14; Offb 18,2; Offb 19,20; Offb 20,10)14For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. (1Kön 22,20; 1Tim 4,1; Offb 6,17; Offb 13,13; Offb 17,14; Offb 19,19; Offb 20,8)15(“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) (Mt 24,42; Offb 3,2; Offb 3,3; Offb 3,18)16And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. The Seventh Bowl
17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” (Eph 2,2; Offb 10,6)18And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings,[3] peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. (Dan 12,1; Joe 2,2; Mt 24,21; Offb 4,5; Offb 6,12; Offb 8,5; Offb 11,13; Offb 11,19)19The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. (Ps 74,18; Offb 11,8; Offb 11,13; Offb 14,8; Offb 14,10; Offb 18,5)20And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. (Offb 6,14)21And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds[4] each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.
