1Das habe ich zu euch geredet, dass ihr nicht zu Fall kommt.2Sie werden euch aus der Synagoge ausstoßen. Es kommt aber die Zeit, dass, wer euch tötet, meinen wird, er tue Gott einen Dienst. (Mt 10,17; Mt 10,22; Mt 24,9)3Und das werden sie tun, weil sie weder meinen Vater noch mich erkennen. (Joh 15,21)4Aber dies habe ich zu euch geredet, damit, wenn ihre Stunde kommen wird, ihr daran denkt, dass ich’s euch gesagt habe. Zu Anfang aber habe ich es euch nicht gesagt, denn ich war bei euch.
Das Werk des Heiligen Geistes
5Jetzt aber gehe ich hin zu dem, der mich gesandt hat; und niemand von euch fragt mich: Wo gehst du hin?6Doch weil ich dies zu euch geredet habe, ist euer Herz voll Trauer.7Aber ich sage euch die Wahrheit: Es ist gut für euch, dass ich weggehe. Denn wenn ich nicht weggehe, kommt der Tröster nicht zu euch. Wenn ich aber gehe, werde ich ihn zu euch senden. Trauer und Hoffnung bei Jesu Abschied
16Noch eine kleine Weile, dann werdet ihr mich nicht mehr sehen; und abermals eine kleine Weile, dann werdet ihr mich sehen.
