Umkehr und Heilung
2Bekehre dich, Israel, zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott; denn du bist gestrauchelt durch deine Schuld. (Hos 12,7; Sach 1,4)3Nehmt diese Worte mit euch und bekehrt euch zum HERRN und sprecht zu ihm: Vergib uns alle Sünde und tu uns wohl, so wollen wir opfern die Frucht unserer Lippen. (Hebr 13,15)4Assur soll uns nicht helfen; wir wollen nicht mehr auf Rossen reiten, auch nicht mehr sagen zu dem Werk unserer Hände: Du bist unser Gott. Sondern bei dir finden die Verwaisten Erbarmen.5Ich will ihre Abtrünnigkeit heilen; gerne will ich sie lieben; denn mein Zorn hat sich von ihnen gewendet.6Ich will für Israel wie der Tau sein, dass es blüht wie eine Lilie und seine Wurzeln ausschlagen wie der Libanon7und seine Zweige sich ausbreiten, dass es so schön sei wie ein Ölbaum und so guten Geruch gebe wie der Libanon.8Und sie sollen wieder unter seinem Schatten sitzen; von Korn sollen sie sich nähren und sprossen wie der Weinstock, der berühmt ist wie der Wein vom Libanon.9Ephraim, was sollen ihm noch Götzen? Ich will ihn erhören und ihn anschauen. Ich will sein wie der üppige Wacholder. Von mir erhältst du deine Frucht.10Wer ist weise, dass er dies versteht, und klug, dass er dies einsieht? Die Wege des HERRN sind richtig und die Gerechten wandeln darauf; aber die Übertreter kommen auf ihnen zu Fall.

1O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.2Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.3Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.4I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.5I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.6His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.7They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.8Ephraim shall say , What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him , and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.9Who is wise, and he shall understand these things ? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
1Israel, return to the LORD your God. Your sins have destroyed you!2Tell the LORD you are turning away from your sins. Return to him. Say to him, ‘Forgive us for all our sins. Please be kind to us. Welcome us back to you. Then our lips will offer you our praise.3Assyria can’t save us. We won’t trust in our war horses. Our own hands have made statues of gods. But we will never call them our gods again. We are like children whose fathers have died. But you show us your tender love.’4Then the LORD will answer, ‘My people always wander away from me. But I will put an end to that. My anger has turned away from them. Now I will love them freely.5I will be like the dew to Israel. They will bloom like a lily. They will send their roots down deep like a cedar tree in Lebanon.6They will spread out like new branches. They will be as beautiful as an olive tree. They will smell as sweet as the cedar trees in Lebanon.7Once again my people will live in the safety of my shade. They will grow like corn. They will bloom like vines. And Israel will be as famous as wine from Lebanon.8Ephraim will have nothing more to do with other gods. I will answer the prayers of my people. I will take good care of them. I will be like a healthy juniper tree to them. All the fruit they bear will come from me.’9If someone is wise, they will realise that what I’ve said is true. If they have understanding, they will know what it means. The ways of the LORD are right. People who are right with God live the way he wants them to. But those who refuse to obey him trip and fall.

I will answer him and care for him. I am like a flourishing juniper; your fruitfulness comes from me.’9Who is wise? Let them realise these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
