Et Pilate le permit. Die Kreuzigung Jesu Christi
17Und er trug sein Kreuz und ging hinaus zur sogenannten Schädelstätte, die auf Hebräisch Golgatha heißt. (Gn 22:6; Lv 16:25; He 13:12)18Dort kreuzigten sie ihn, und mit ihm zwei andere zu beiden Seiten, Jesus aber in der Mitte. (Ps 22:17; Is 53:12)19Pilatus aber schrieb eine Überschrift und heftete sie an das Kreuz; und es stand geschrieben: »Jesus, der Nazarener, der König der Juden«. (Mt 27:37; Jn 18:33)20Diese Überschrift nun lasen viele Juden; denn der Ort, wo Jesus gekreuzigt wurde, war nahe bei der Stadt, und es war in hebräischer, griechischer und lateinischer Sprache geschrieben. (Ex 39:22)24Da sprachen sie zueinander: Lasst uns das nicht zertrennen, sondern darum losen, wem es gehören soll! — damit die Schrift erfüllt würde, die spricht: »Sie haben meine Kleider unter sich geteilt und über mein Gewand das Los geworfen«.[2] Dies nun taten die Kriegsknechte. (Ps 22:19)25Es standen aber bei dem Kreuz Jesu seine Mutter und die Schwester seiner Mutter, Maria, die Frau des Klopas, und Maria Magdalena. (Mt 27:55; Lc 2:35; Lc 24:18; Jn 20:1)26Als nun Jesus seine Mutter sah und den Jünger dabeistehen, den er lieb hatte, spricht er zu seiner Mutter: Frau, siehe, dein Sohn! (Jn 13:23; Jn 20:2)27Darauf spricht er zu dem Jünger: Siehe, deine Mutter! Und von der Stunde an nahm sie der Jünger zu sich. (Gn 47:12; 1Tm 5:4)28Nach diesem, da Jesus wusste, dass schon alles vollbracht war, spricht er, damit die Schrift erfüllt würde: Mich dürstet! (Ps 69:22; Lc 24:44; Jn 13:1; Jn 17:4)29Es stand nun ein Gefäß voll Essig da; sie aber tränkten einen Schwamm mit Essig, legten ihn um einen Ysop und hielten es ihm an den Mund. Die Geschehnisse nach Jesu Tod
31Weil es Rüsttag war — jener Sabbat war nämlich ein hoher Festtag —, baten die Juden nun Pilatus, damit die Leichname nicht während des Sabbats am Kreuz blieben, dass ihnen die Beine zerschlagen und sie herabgenommen würden. (Lv 23:6; Dt 21:22; Mt 27:62; Jn 19:14)32Da kamen die Kriegsknechte und brachen dem ersten die Beine, ebenso dem anderen, der mit ihm gekreuzigt worden war. (Jn 19:18)33Als sie aber zu Jesus kamen und sahen, dass er schon gestorben war, zerschlugen sie ihm die Beine nicht,34sondern einer der Kriegsknechte stach mit einem Speer in seine Seite, und sogleich floss Blut und Wasser heraus. (Lv 17:11; He 9:22; 1Jn 5:6)35Und der das gesehen hat, der hat es bezeugt, und sein Zeugnis ist wahr, und er weiß, dass er die Wahrheit sagt, damit ihr glaubt. (Jn 20:31; Jn 21:24; 1Jn 1:1)36Denn dies ist geschehen, damit die Schrift erfüllt würde: »Kein Knochen soll ihm zerbrochen werden«.[3] (Ex 12:46; Ps 34:21)37Und wiederum sagt eine andere Schrift: »Sie werden den ansehen, welchen sie durchstochen haben«.[4] (Za 12:10)
Die Grablegung Jesu
38Danach bat Joseph von Arimathia — der ein Jünger Jesu war, jedoch heimlich, aus Furcht vor den Juden — den Pilatus, dass er den Leib Jesu abnehmen dürfe. Und Pilatus erlaubte es. Da kam er und nahm den Leib Jesu herab. (Jn 12:42)39Es kam aber auch Nikodemus, der zuvor bei Nacht zu Jesus gekommen war, und brachte eine Mischung von Myrrhe und Aloe, etwa 100 Pfund. (Jn 3:1; Jn 7:50)40Sie nahmen nun den Leib Jesu und banden ihn samt den wohlriechenden Gewürzen in leinene Tücher, wie die Juden zu begraben pflegen. (2Ch 16:14; Lc 23:56; Jn 11:44)41Es war aber ein Garten an dem Ort, wo Jesus gekreuzigt worden war, und in dem Garten ein neues Grab, in das noch niemand gelegt worden war.[5] (Is 53:9; Mt 27:60)42Dorthin nun legten sie Jesus, wegen des Rüsttages der Juden, weil das Grab nahe war.
