Psalm 8

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 

5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 

7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 

8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 

9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

2 HERR, unser Herrscher, wie herrlich ist dein Name auf der ganzen Erde, der du deine Hoheit über die Himmel gesetzt hast! (Jud 13:18; Ne 9:5; Ps 148:13; Isa 60:1; Heb 1:3) 

3 Aus dem Mund von Kindern und Säuglingen hast du ein Lob bereitet um deiner Bedränger willen, um den Feind und den Rachgierigen zum Schweigen zu bringen. (Ps 107:42; Mt 21:16; Lu 10:21; 1Co 1:27) 

4 Wenn ich deinen Himmel betrachte, das Werk deiner Finger, den Mond und die Sterne, die du bereitet hast: (De 4:19; Ps 19:2; Ps 33:6; Ps 102:26; Ps 136:7; Ps 136:9; Ps 148:3; Isa 40:22) 

5 Was ist der Mensch, dass du an ihn gedenkst, und der Sohn des Menschen, dass du auf ihn achtest? (Ge 2:7; Isa 2:22; Da 7:13; Mt 10:29; Lu 19:10; Joh 3:13; 1Ti 2:4; Heb 2:6) 

6 Du hast ihn ein wenig niedriger gemacht als die Engel; mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre hast du ihn gekrönt. (Php 2:7; Heb 2:7; 1Pe 1:20) 

7 Du hast ihn zum Herrscher über die Werke deiner Hände gemacht; alles hast du unter seine Füße gelegt: (Ge 1:26; 1Co 15:27; Heb 2:8)
