1And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;2And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.3The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.7They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?8He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.10His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.11But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.13Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.14But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.15And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,19Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.20The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.23Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.25When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.27Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?28And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.29And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.30But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
1Als Jesus diese Rede beendet hatte, zog er weiter. Er verließ Galiläa und kam in das Gebiet von Judäa im Ostjordanland.[1]2Die Menschen kamen in Scharen zu ihm, und er heilte sie.3Dann kamen einige Pharisäer und wollten ihm eine Falle stellen. Sie fragten: „Darf ein Mann aus jedem beliebigen Grund seine Frau aus der Ehe entlassen?“4„Habt ihr nie gelesen“, erwiderte Jesus, „dass Gott die Menschen von Anfang an als Mann und Frau geschaffen hat? (Ge 1:27; Ge 5:2)5Und dass er dann sagte: 'Deshalb wird ein Mann seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen und sich an seine Frau binden, und die zwei werden völlig eins sein.'? (Ge 2:24)6Sie sind also nicht mehr zwei, sondern eins. Und was Gott so zusammengefügt hat, sollen Menschen nicht scheiden!“7„Warum hat Mose dann aber gesagt“, entgegneten sie, „dass man der Frau einen Scheidebrief ausstellen soll, bevor man sie wegschickt?“ (De 24:1)8Jesus erwiderte: „Nur, weil ihr so harte Herzen habt, hat Mose euch erlaubt, eure Frauen wegzuschicken. Von Anfang an ist das aber nicht so gewesen.9Doch ich sage euch: Wer sich von seiner Frau trennt und eine andere heiratet – es sei denn, sie ist ihm sexuell untreu geworden –, begeht Ehebruch. Auch wer eine Geschiedene heiratet, begeht Ehebruch.“[2]10Da sagten die Jünger: „Dann wäre es ja besser, gar nicht zu heiraten!“11Jesus erwiderte: „Das ist etwas, was nicht alle fassen können, sondern nur die, denen es von Gott gegeben ist.12Manche sind nämlich von Geburt an unfähig zur Ehe, andere sind es durch einen späteren Eingriff geworden, und wieder andere verzichten von sich aus auf die Ehe, weil sie ganz für das Reich da sein wollen, in dem der Himmel regiert. Wer es fassen kann, der fasse es!“
Jesus und die Kinder
13Danach wurden Kinder zu Jesus gebracht, damit er ihnen die Hände auflege und für sie bete. Doch die Jünger wiesen sie unfreundlich ab.14Aber Jesus sagte: „Lasst doch die Kinder zu mir kommen, und hindert sie nicht daran! Das Himmelreich ist ja gerade für solche wie sie bestimmt.“15Und er legte den Kindern die Hände auf. Dann zog er weiter.
Nachfolge und Reichtum
16Da kam ein Mann zu ihm und fragte: „Rabbi, was muss ich Gutes tun, um das ewige Leben zu bekommen?“17„Was fragst du mich nach dem Guten?“, entgegnete Jesus. „Gut ist nur einer. Doch wenn du das Leben bekommen willst, dann halte die Gebote!“18„Welche denn?“, fragte der Mann. Jesus antwortete: „Du sollst nicht morden, nicht die Ehe brechen, nicht stehlen und keine Falschaussagen machen.19Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter, und liebe deinen Nächsten wie dich selbst!“20Der junge Mann erwiderte: „Das alles habe ich befolgt. Was fehlt mir noch?“21„Wenn du vollkommen sein willst“, sagte Jesus zu ihm, „dann geh, und verkaufe alles, was du hast, und gib den Erlös den Armen – du wirst dann einen Schatz im Himmel haben –, und komm, folge mir nach!“22Als der junge Mann das hörte, ging er traurig weg, denn er hatte ein großes Vermögen.23Da sagte Jesus zu seinen Jüngern: „Ich versichere euch: Für einen Reichen ist es schwer, in das Reich hineinzukommen, in dem der Himmel regiert.24Ich sage es noch einmal: Eher kommt ein Kamel durch ein Nadelöhr als ein Reicher in Gottes Reich.“25Als die Jünger das hörten, gerieten sie völlig außer sich und fragten: „Wer kann dann überhaupt gerettet werden?“26Jesus blickte sie an und sagte: „Für Menschen ist das unmöglich, nicht aber für Gott. Für Gott ist alles möglich.“27Da erklärte Petrus: „Du weißt, wir haben alles verlassen und sind dir gefolgt. Was werden wir dafür bekommen?“28„Ich versichere euch“, erwiderte Jesus, „wenn der Menschensohn in der kommenden Welt auf dem Thron seiner Herrlichkeit sitzt, werdet auch ihr, die mir gefolgt sind, auf zwölf Thronen sitzen, um die zwölf Stämme Israels zu richten.29Und jeder, der meinetwegen Haus, Brüder, Schwestern, Vater, Mutter, Kinder oder Äcker verlassen hat, bekommt es hundertfach zurück und wird das ewige Leben erhalten.30Aber viele, die jetzt die Großen sind, werden dann die Geringsten sein, und die jetzt die Letzten sind, werden dann die Ersten sein.“
1Après avoir donné ces enseignements, Jésus quitta la Galilée et se rendit dans la partie de la Judée située de l’autre côté du Jourdain. (Mr 10:1)2De grandes foules le suivaient et il guérit là les malades.3Des pharisiens s’approchèrent de lui avec l’intention de lui tendre un piège. Ils lui demandèrent: Un homme a-t-il le droit de divorcer d’avec sa femme pour une raison quelconque?4Il leur répondit: N’avez-vous pas lu dans les Ecritures qu’au commencement le Créateur a créé l’être humain homme et femme[1] (Ge 1:27; Ge 5:2)5et qu’il a déclaré: C’est pourquoi l’homme laissera son père et sa mère pour s’attacher à sa femme, et les deux ne feront plus qu’un[2]? (Ge 2:24)6Ainsi, ils ne sont plus deux, ils font un. Que l’homme ne sépare donc pas ce que Dieu a uni.7Mais les pharisiens objectèrent: Pourquoi alors Moïse a-t-il commandé à l’homme de remettre à sa femme un certificat de divorce quand il divorce d’avec elle[3]? (De 24:1)8Il leur répondit: C’est à cause de la dureté de votre cœur que Moïse vous a permis de divorcer d’avec votre épouse. Mais, au commencement, il n’en était pas ainsi.9Aussi, je vous déclare que celui qui divorce et se remarie, commet un adultère – sauf en cas d’immoralité sexuelle.10Les disciples lui dirent: Si telle est la situation de l’homme par rapport à la femme, il n’est pas intéressant pour lui de se marier.11Il leur répondit: Tous les hommes ne sont pas capables d’accepter cet enseignement. Cela n’est possible qu’à ceux qui en ont reçu le don.12En effet, il y a ceux qui ne peuvent pas avoir de vie sexuelle normale parce que, de naissance, ils en sont incapables; pour d’autres, il en est ainsi à cause d’une intervention humaine; d’autres, enfin, y renoncent à cause du royaume des cieux. Que celui qui est capable d’accepter cet enseignement, l’accepte!
Jésus accueille des enfants
13Peu après, des gens lui amenèrent des petits enfants pour qu’il leur impose les mains et prie pour eux. Les disciples leur firent des reproches. (Mr 10:13; Lu 18:15)14Mais Jésus leur dit: Laissez donc ces petits enfants, ne les empêchez pas de venir à moi, car le royaume des cieux appartient à ceux qui leur ressemblent.15Puis il leur imposa les mains et poursuivit son chemin.
Les riches et le royaume de Dieu
16Alors un homme s’approcha de lui et lui dit: Maître, que dois-je faire de bon pour avoir la vie éternelle? (Mr 10:17; Lu 18:18)17– Pourquoi m’interroges-tu sur ce qui est bon? lui répondit Jésus. Un seul est bon. Si tu veux entrer dans la vie, applique les commandements.18– Lesquels? demanda l’homme. – Eh bien, répondit Jésus, tu ne commettras pas de meurtre; tu ne commettras pas d’adultère; tu ne commettras pas de vol; tu ne porteras pas de faux témoignage[4]; (Ex 20:12; De 5:16)19honore ton père et ta mère, et tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-même[5]. (Le 19:18)20– Tout cela, lui dit le jeune homme, je l’ai appliqué. Que me manque-t-il encore?21Jésus lui répondit: Si tu veux être parfait, va vendre tes biens, distribue le produit de la vente aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor dans le ciel. Puis viens et suis-moi!22Quand il entendit cela, le jeune homme s’en alla tout triste, car il était très riche.23Alors Jésus dit à ses disciples: Vraiment, je vous l’assure: il est difficile à un riche d’entrer dans le royaume des cieux.24Oui, j’insiste: il est plus facile à un chameau de passer par le trou d’une aiguille qu’à un riche d’entrer dans le royaume de Dieu.25En entendant cela, les disciples furent très étonnés et demandèrent: Mais alors, qui donc peut être sauvé?26Jésus les regarda et leur dit: Cela est impossible aux hommes; mais à Dieu, tout est possible.27Alors Pierre prit la parole et lui dit: Nous, nous avons tout quitté pour te suivre: qu’en sera-t-il de nous?28Jésus leur dit: Vraiment, je vous l’assure: quand le monde connaîtra son renouveau et que le Fils de l’homme aura pris place sur son trône glorieux, vous qui m’avez suivi, vous siégerez, vous aussi, sur douze trônes pour gouverner les douze tribus d’Israël.29Tous ceux qui auront quitté, à cause de moi, leurs maisons, leurs frères ou leurs sœurs, leur père ou leur mère, leurs enfants ou leur terre, recevront cent fois plus et auront part à la vie éternelle.30Mais beaucoup de ceux qui sont maintenant les premiers seront parmi les derniers, et beaucoup de ceux qui sont maintenant les derniers seront parmi les premiers.
