1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:5To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:17Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.19But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.20Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.21Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;22And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:23But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.24And they glorified God in me.
1Pavel – apostol nu de la oameni, nici printr‑un om, ci prin Isus Cristos și Dumnezeu Tatăl, Care L‑a înviat dintre cei morți –2și toți frații care sunt cu mine, către bisericile[1] Galatiei[2]: (Ac 13:14)3Har vouă și pace de la Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, și de la Domnul Isus Cristos,4Care S‑a dat pe Sine pentru păcatele noastre, ca să ne scape din acest veac rău, potrivit cu voia lui Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru.5A Lui să fie slava, în vecii vecilor! Nu este o altă Evanghelie
6Sunt uimit că treceți așa de repede de la Cel Care v‑a chemat în harul lui Cristos, la o altă evanghelie.7Nu că ar exista o altă evanghelie, dar sunt unii care vă tulbură și vor să pervertească Evanghelia[3] lui Cristos.8Însă, chiar dacă noi sau un înger din cer v‑ar vesti o altă evanghelie decât cea pe care v‑am vestit‑o, să fie blestemat[4]! (Le 27:28)9Așa cum v‑am spus înainte, vă spun din nou: dacă cineva vă vestește o altă evanghelie decât cea pe care ați primit‑o, să fie blestemat!10Încerc eu acum să‑i conving pe oameni sau pe Dumnezeu? Sau încerc eu să plac oamenilor? Dacă aș mai încerca să plac oamenilor, n‑aș fi un rob al lui Cristos!
Pavel chemat de Dumnezeu
11Vă fac cunoscut, fraților, că Evanghelia vestită de mine nu este de origine omenească[5],12pentru că n‑am primit‑o, nici n‑am învățat‑o de la vreun om, ci prin descoperire din partea lui Isus Cristos.13Căci ați auzit despre felul meu de viață[6] din trecut, în iudaism, cum persecutam peste măsură Biserica lui Dumnezeu și o distrugeam.14Eram mai înaintat în iudaism decât mulți dintre cei de o vârstă cu mine, din neamul meu, având un mai mare zel pentru tradițiile strămoșești.15Dar când Dumnezeu, Care m‑a pus deoparte încă din pântecul mamei mele și m‑a chemat prin harul Său, a găsit potrivit16să‑L descopere pe Fiul Său în mine, ca să‑L vestesc printre neamuri, nu am cerut imediat sfatul unui om[7],17nici nu m‑am suit la Ierusalim, la cei care au fost apostoli înaintea mea, ci m‑am dus în Arabia, iar după aceea m‑am reîntors în Damasc.18Apoi, după trei ani, m‑am suit la Ierusalim să‑l vizitez pe Chifa[8] și am rămas la el cincisprezece zile,19dar n‑am văzut pe niciun alt apostol, în afară de Iacov, fratele Domnului.20În cele ce vă scriu, iată, vă asigur înaintea lui Dumnezeu că nu mint.21M‑am dus apoi în regiunile Siriei și ale Ciliciei,22dar le eram încă necunoscut la față bisericilor din Iudeea, care sunt în Cristos.23Ei doar auzeau spunându‑se: „Cel care înainte ne persecuta, vestește acum credința pe care încerca s‑o distrugă.“24Și Îl slăveau pe Dumnezeu datorită mie.
