1At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.2Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.3The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying , Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.4Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.5Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.6For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.7For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.8Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.9They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.10Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.11For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.12Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.13Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.14And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.15Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.16Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.17And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.18I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus ; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke : turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.19Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.20Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.21Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.22How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.23Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.24And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.25For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.26Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.27Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.28And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.29In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children' teeth are set on edge.30But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.35Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:36If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.37Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.38Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.39And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.40And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.
1Zu derselben Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich der Gott aller Geschlechter Israels sein, und sie sollen mein Volk sein. (Jer 7:23)2So spricht der HERR: Das Volk, das dem Schwert entronnen ist, hat Gnade gefunden in der Wüste; Israel zieht hin zu seiner Ruhe.3Der HERR ist mir erschienen von ferne: Ich habe dich je und je geliebt, darum habe ich dich zu mir gezogen aus lauter Güte.4Ich will dich wiederum bauen, dass du gebaut sein sollst, du Jungfrau Israel; du sollst dich wieder schmücken und mit Pauken ausziehen im fröhlichen Tanz.5Du sollst wiederum Weinberge pflanzen an den Bergen Samarias; pflanzen wird man sie und ihre Früchte genießen.6Denn es wird die Zeit kommen, dass die Wächter auf dem Gebirge Ephraim rufen: Wohlauf, lasst uns hinaufziehen nach Zion zum HERRN, unserm Gott!7Denn so spricht der HERR: Jubelt über Jakob mit Freuden und jauchzet über das Haupt unter den Völkern. Ruft laut, rühmt und sprecht: HERR, hilf deinem Volk, dem Rest Israels!8Siehe, ich will sie aus dem Lande des Nordens bringen und will sie sammeln von den Enden der Erde, unter ihnen Blinde und Lahme, Schwangere und junge Mütter, dass sie als große Gemeinde wieder hierher kommen sollen. (Isa 35:8; Eze 34:16; Mic 4:6)9Sie werden weinend kommen, aber ich will sie trösten und leiten. Ich will sie zu Wasserbächen führen auf ebenem Wege, auf dem sie nicht straucheln; denn ich bin Israels Vater und Ephraim ist mein erstgeborener Sohn. (Ex 4:22; 2Co 6:18)10Höret, ihr Völker, des HERRN Wort und verkündet’s fern auf den Inseln und sprecht: Der Israel zerstreut hat, der wird’s auch wieder sammeln und wird es hüten wie ein Hirte seine Herde; (Isa 40:11)11denn der HERR wird Jakob erlösen und von der Hand des Mächtigen erretten.12Sie werden kommen und auf der Höhe des Zion jauchzen und vor Freude strahlen über die Gaben des HERRN, über Getreide, Wein, Öl und junge Schafe und Rinder, dass ihre Seele sein wird wie ein wasserreicher Garten und sie nicht mehr verschmachten sollen. (Isa 58:11)13Alsdann werden die Jungfrauen fröhlich beim Reigen sein, die junge Mannschaft und die Alten miteinander; denn ich will ihr Trauern in Freude verwandeln und sie trösten und sie erfreuen nach ihrer Betrübnis.14Und ich will die Priester mit Fett vom Opfer laben, und mein Volk soll meiner Gaben die Fülle haben, spricht der HERR.
Die Klage hat ein Ende
15So spricht der HERR: Man hört Klagegeschrei und bittres Weinen in Rama: Rahel weint über ihre Kinder und will sich nicht trösten lassen über ihre Kinder; denn es ist aus mit ihnen. (Ge 35:16; Mt 2:18)16Aber so spricht der HERR: Lass dein Schreien und Weinen und die Tränen deiner Augen; denn deine Mühe wird belohnt werden, spricht der HERR. Sie sollen wiederkommen aus dem Lande des Feindes,17und es gibt eine Hoffnung für deine Zukunft, spricht der HERR: Deine Kinder sollen wieder in ihre Heimat kommen. (Jer 29:11)18Ich habe wohl gehört, wie Ephraim klagt: »Du hast mich gezüchtigt, und ich wurde gezüchtigt wie ein junger Stier, der noch nicht gezähmt ist. Bekehre du mich, so will ich mich bekehren; denn du, HERR, bist mein Gott! (Ho 10:10)19Nachdem ich bekehrt war, tat ich Buße, und als ich zur Einsicht kam, schlug ich an meine Brust. Ich bin zuschanden geworden und stehe schamrot da; denn ich trage die Schande meiner Jugend.«20Ist nicht Ephraim mein teurer Sohn und mein liebes Kind? Denn sooft ich ihm auch drohe, muss ich doch seiner gedenken; darum bricht mir mein Herz, dass ich mich seiner erbarmen muss, spricht der HERR. (Isa 49:15; Ho 11:8)21Richte dir Wegzeichen auf, setze dir Steinmale und richte deinen Sinn auf die Straße, auf der du gezogen bist! Kehr zurück, Jungfrau Israel, kehr zurück zu diesen deinen Städten!22Wie lang willst du in der Irre gehen, du abtrünnige Tochter? Denn der HERR wird ein Neues im Lande schaffen: Die Frau wird den Mann umgeben.23So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: »Man wird dies Wort wieder sagen im Lande Juda und in seinen Städten, wenn ich ihr Geschick wenden werde: Der HERR segne dich, du Wohnung der Gerechtigkeit, du heiliger Berg! (Zec 8:3)24Auch Juda samt allen seinen Städten soll darin wohnen, die Ackerleute und die mit Herden umherziehen;25denn ich will die Müden erquicken und die Verschmachtenden sättigen.«26Darüber bin ich aufgewacht und sah auf und hatte so sanft geschlafen.
Die neue Saat
27Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, dass ich das Haus Israel und das Haus Juda besäen will mit Menschen und mit Vieh.28Und gleichwie ich über sie gewacht habe, auszureißen und einzureißen, zu verderben und zu zerstören und zu plagen, so will ich über sie wachen, zu bauen und zu pflanzen, spricht der HERR. (Jer 1:10; Jer 1:12)29Zu derselben Zeit wird man nicht mehr sagen: »Die Väter haben saure Trauben gegessen und den Kindern werden die Zähne stumpf«, (Ex 20:5; La 5:7; Eze 18:2)30sondern ein jeder wird um seiner eigenen Schuld willen sterben, und wer saure Trauben isst, dem werden die Zähne stumpf.
Der neue Bund
31Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, da will ich mit dem Hause Israel und mit dem Hause Juda einen neuen Bund schließen, (Jer 32:40; Heb 8:8)32nicht wie der Bund gewesen ist, den ich mit ihren Vätern schloss, als ich sie bei der Hand nahm, um sie aus Ägyptenland zu führen, mein Bund, den sie gebrochen haben, ob ich gleich ihr Herr war, spricht der HERR; (Ex 24:3; De 26:16; Jer 11:10)33sondern das soll der Bund sein, den ich mit dem Hause Israel schließen will nach dieser Zeit, spricht der HERR: Ich will mein Gesetz in ihr Herz geben und in ihren Sinn schreiben, und ich will ihr Gott sein und sie sollen mein Volk sein. (Jer 7:23; Eze 11:19; Heb 10:16)34Und es wird keiner den andern noch ein Bruder den andern lehren und sagen: »Erkenne den HERRN«, denn sie sollen mich alle erkennen, beide, Klein und Groß, spricht der HERR; denn ich will ihnen ihre Missetat vergeben und ihrer Sünde nimmermehr gedenken. (Isa 43:25; Jer 33:8; Ro 11:27)
Das unverbrüchliche Heil
35So spricht der HERR, der die Sonne dem Tage zum Licht gibt und den Mond und die Sterne der Nacht zum Licht bestellt; der das Meer bewegt, dass seine Wellen brausen – HERR Zebaoth ist sein Name –:36Wenn jemals diese Ordnungen vor mir ins Wanken kämen, spricht der HERR, so müssten auch die Nachkommen Israels aufhören, ein Volk zu sein vor mir ewiglich. (Isa 54:9; Jer 33:25; Ro 11:1)37So spricht der HERR: Wenn man den Himmel oben messen könnte und den Grund der Erde unten erforschen, dann würde ich auch verwerfen alle Nachkommen Israels für all das, was sie getan haben, spricht der HERR.38Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, dass die Stadt für den HERRN wieder gebaut werden wird vom Turm Hananel an bis ans Ecktor;39und die Messschnur wird weiter geradeaus gehen bis an den Hügel Gareb und sich nach Goa hin wenden.40Und das ganze Tal der Leichen und der Asche und die Hänge bis zum Bach Kidron, bis zu der Ecke am Rosstor im Osten, wird dem HERRN heilig sein. Und die Stadt wird niemals mehr eingerissen und abgebrochen werden.
