Psalm 114

King James Version

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; 

2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. 

3 The sea saw it , and fled: Jordan was driven back. 

4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. 

5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? 

6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? 

7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; 

8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Lobpreis auf den Auszug Israels aus Ägypten

1 Als Israel aus Ägypten auszog, das Haus Jakobs aus dem Volk mit fremder Sprache, (Ex 12:41) 

2 da wurde Juda sein Heiligtum, Israel das Gebiet seiner Herrschaft. (Ex 19:6; De 7:6; Jer 2:3) 

3 Das Meer sah es und flüchtete, der Jordan wandte sich rückwärts. (Ps 66:6) 

4 Die Berge hüpften wie Widder, die Hügel wie junge Lämmer. (Ps 29:6) 

5 Was ist mit dir, du Meer, dass du flüchtest, du Jordan, dass du rückwärts dich wendest, 

6 ihr Berge, dass ihr hüpft wie Widder, ihr Hügel, wie junge Lämmer? (Ps 68:9) 

7 Vor dem Angesicht des Herrn tanze, du Erde, vor dem Angesicht des Gottes Jakobs, 

8 der den Fels zum Wasserteich wandelt, Kieselgestein zu quellendem Wasser. (Ps 78:15; Isa 48:21)
