1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 

8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. 

12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. 

13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 

14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. 

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. 

18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. 

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. 

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

1 And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. (Lu 8:31; Lu 10:18; Ro 10:7; Re 1:18; Re 8:10; Re 9:2; Re 11:7; Re 12:9; Re 17:8; Re 20:1; Re 20:3) 

2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. (Ge 19:28; Isa 34:10; Joe 2:10) 

3 Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. (Ex 10:4) 

4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. (Re 6:6; Re 7:2; Re 7:3; Re 8:7) 

5 They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. (Re 9:10) 

6 And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them. (Job 3:21; Job 7:15; Job 7:16; Jer 8:3) 

7 In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, (Da 7:8; Joe 2:4; Na 3:17) 

8 their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth; (Joe 1:6) 

9 they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots with horses rushing into battle. (Job 39:21; Jer 8:6; Joe 2:5) 

10 They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails. (Re 9:5) 

11 They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon. (Job 18:14; Job 26:6; Pr 30:27; Eph 2:2) 

12 The first woe has passed; behold, two woes are still to come. (Re 8:13; Re 11:14) 

13 Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God, (Ex 30:3) 

14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” (Re 7:1; Re 16:12) 

15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour, the day, the month, and the year, were released to kill a third of mankind. (Re 8:7) 

16 The number of mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number. (Ps 68:17; Eze 38:4; Da 7:10; Re 7:4) 

17 And this is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of fire and of sapphire and of sulfur, and the heads of the horses were like lions’ heads, and fire and smoke and sulfur came out of their mouths. (1Ch 12:8; Isa 5:28; Isa 5:29) 

18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire and smoke and sulfur coming out of their mouths. 

19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound. 

20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, (De 31:29; Ps 115:4; Ps 135:15; Jer 1:16; Jer 25:14; Da 5:23; 1Co 10:20; Re 2:21) 

21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. (Ga 5:20; Re 21:8; Re 22:15)

Die fünfte Posaune

1 Und der fünfte Engel stieß in die Posaune; und ich sah einen Stern, der vom Himmel auf die Erde gefallen war, und es wurde ihm der Schlüssel zum Schlund des Abgrunds gegeben. (Ge 3:17; Isa 14:12; Lu 8:31; Lu 10:18; Re 8:10; Re 8:13; Re 12:12; Re 20:1) 

2 Und er öffnete den Schlund des Abgrunds, und ein Rauch stieg empor aus dem Schlund, wie der Rauch eines großen Schmelzofens, und die Sonne und die Luft wurden verfinstert von dem Rauch des Schlundes. (Joe 2:2; Joe 2:10; Re 16:10) 

3 Und aus dem Rauch kamen Heuschrecken hervor auf die Erde; und es wurde ihnen Vollmacht gegeben, wie die Skorpione der Erde Vollmacht haben. (Ex 10:12; De 28:38; Na 3:17) 

4 Und es wurde ihnen gesagt, dass sie dem Gras der Erde keinen Schaden zufügen sollten, auch nicht irgendetwas Grünem, noch irgendeinem Baum, sondern nur den Menschen, die das Siegel Gottes nicht an ihrer Stirn haben. (Ex 12:23; Re 7:3) 

5 Und es wurde ihnen gegeben, sie nicht zu töten, sondern sie sollten fünf Monate lang gequält werden. Und ihre Qual war wie die Qual von einem Skorpion, wenn er einen Menschen sticht. (Re 9:3; Re 13:5; Re 13:7) 

6 Und in jenen Tagen werden die Menschen den Tod suchen und ihn nicht finden; und sie werden begehren zu sterben, und der Tod wird von ihnen fliehen. (Job 3:21; Jer 8:3; Re 6:16) 

7 Und die Gestalten der Heuschrecken glichen Pferden, die zum Kampf gerüstet sind, und auf ihren Köpfen [trugen sie] etwas wie Kronen, dem Gold gleich, und ihre Angesichter waren wie menschliche Angesichter. (Joe 2:4) 

8 Und sie hatten Haare wie Frauenhaare, und ihre Zähne waren wie die der Löwen. (Joe 1:6) 

9 Und sie hatten Panzer wie eiserne Panzer, und das Getöse ihrer Flügel war wie das Getöse vieler Wagen und Pferde, die zur Schlacht eilen. (Job 39:24; Job 40:18; Job 41:18; Na 2:4; Re 9:17) 

10 Und sie hatten Schwänze wie Skorpione, und Stacheln waren in ihren Schwänzen, und ihre Vollmacht bestand darin, den Menschen Schaden zuzufügen fünf Monate lang. (Re 9:3; Re 9:5) 

11 Und sie haben als König über sich den Engel des Abgrunds; sein Name ist auf Hebräisch Abaddon, und im Griechischen hat er den Namen Apollyon. (Joh 8:44; 2Pe 2:4; Re 9:1) 

12 Das erste Wehe ist vorüber; siehe, es kommen noch zwei Wehe nach diesem! (Re 8:13; Re 11:14) 

Die sechste Posaune

13 Und der sechste Engel stieß in die Posaune, und ich hörte eine Stimme aus den vier Hörnern des goldenen Altars, der vor Gott steht, (Re 8:3) 

14 die sprach zu dem sechsten Engel, der die Posaune hatte: Löse die vier Engel, die gebunden sind an dem großen Strom Euphrat! (Ge 15:18; Jos 1:4; Jos 24:2; Jos 24:14; Re 16:12) 

15 Und die vier Engel wurden losgebunden, die auf Stunde und Tag und Monat und Jahr bereitstanden, den dritten Teil der Menschen zu töten. (Re 8:7; Re 8:9) 

16 Und die Zahl des Reiterheeres war zweimal zehntausendmal zehntausend; und ich hörte ihre Zahl. (Ps 68:18; Da 7:10; Re 5:11) 

17 Und so sah ich in dem Gesicht die Pferde und die darauf saßen: Sie hatten feurige und violette und schwefelgelbe Panzer, und die Köpfe der Pferde waren wie Löwenköpfe; und aus ihren Mäulern ging Feuer und Rauch und Schwefel hervor. (Isa 5:29; Eze 41:19) 

18 Durch diese drei wurde der dritte Teil der Menschen getötet: von dem Feuer und von dem Rauch und von dem Schwefel, die aus ihren Mäulern hervorkamen. (Re 9:15) 

19 Denn ihre Macht liegt in ihrem Maul; und ihre Schwänze gleichen Schlangen und haben Köpfe, und auch mit diesen fügen sie Schaden zu. (Isa 9:15; Eph 4:14; 2Th 2:9; Re 9:10) 

20 Und die übrigen Menschen, die durch diese Plagen nicht getötet wurden, taten nicht Buße über die Werke ihrer Hände, sodass sie nicht mehr die Dämonen und die Götzen aus Gold und Silber und Erz und Stein und Holz angebetet hätten, die weder sehen noch hören noch gehen können. (Ps 115:4; Jer 8:5; 1Co 10:20; 2Th 2:11; Re 16:9; Re 16:11) 

21 Und sie taten nicht Buße, weder über ihre Mordtaten noch über ihre Zaubereien noch über ihre Unzucht noch über ihre Diebereien. (2Co 12:21; Re 3:21; Re 9:20)

1 Le cinquième ange sonna de la trompette. Et je vis une étoile qui était tombée du ciel sur la terre. La clef du puits de l'abîme lui fut donnée, 

2 et elle ouvrit le puits de l'abîme. Et il monta du puits une fumée, comme la fumée d'une grande fournaise; et le soleil et l'air furent obscurcis par la fumée du puits. 

3 De la fumée sortirent des sauterelles, qui se répandirent sur la terre; et il leur fut donné un pouvoir comme le pouvoir qu'ont les scorpions de la terre. 

4 Il leur fut dit de ne point faire de mal à l'herbe de la terre, ni à aucune verdure, ni à aucun arbre, mais seulement aux hommes qui n'avaient pas le sceau de Dieu sur le front. 

5 Il leur fut donné, non de les tuer, mais de les tourmenter pendant cinq mois; et le tourment qu'elles causaient était comme le tourment que cause le scorpion, quand il pique un homme. 

6 En ces jours-là, les hommes chercheront la mort, et ils ne la trouveront pas; ils désireront mourir, et la mort fuira loin d'eux. 

7 Ces sauterelles ressemblaient à des chevaux préparés pour le combat; il y avait sur leurs têtes comme des couronnes semblables à de l'or, et leurs visages étaient comme des visages d'hommes. 

8 Elles avaient des cheveux comme des cheveux de femmes, et leurs dents étaient comme des dents de lions. 

9 Elles avaient des cuirasses comme des cuirasses de fer, et le bruit de leurs ailes était comme un bruit de chars à plusieurs chevaux qui courent au combat. 

10 Elles avaient des queues semblables à des scorpions et des aiguillons, et c'est dans leurs queues qu'était le pouvoir de faire du mal aux hommes pendant cinq mois. 

11 Elles avaient sur elles comme roi l'ange de l'abîme, nommé en hébreu Abaddon, et en grec Apollyon. 

12 Le premier malheur est passé. Voici il vient encore deux malheurs après cela. 

13 Le sixième ange sonna de la trompette. Et j'entendis une voix venant des quatre cornes de l'autel d'or qui est devant Dieu, 

14 et disant au sixième ange qui avait la trompette: Délie les quatre anges qui sont liés sur le grand fleuve d'Euphrate. 

15 Et les quatre anges qui étaient prêts pour l'heure, le jour, le mois et l'année, furent déliés afin qu'ils tuassent le tiers des hommes. 

16 Le nombre des cavaliers de l'armée était de deux myriades de myriades: j'en entendis le nombre. 

17 Et ainsi je vis les chevaux dans la vision, et ceux qui les montaient, ayant des cuirasses couleur de feu, d'hyacinthe, et de soufre. Les têtes des chevaux étaient comme des têtes de lions; et de leurs bouches il sortait du feu, de la fumée, et du soufre. 

18 Le tiers des hommes fut tué par ces trois fléaux, par le feu, par la fumée, et par le soufre, qui sortaient de leurs bouches. 

19 Car le pouvoir des chevaux était dans leurs bouches et dans leurs queues; leurs queues étaient semblables à des serpents ayant des têtes, et c'est avec elles qu'ils faisaient du mal. 

20 Les autres hommes qui ne furent pas tués par ces fléaux ne se repentirent pas des oeuvres de leurs mains, de manière à ne point adorer les démons, et les idoles d'or, d'argent, d'airain, de pierre et de bois, qui ne peuvent ni voir, ni entendre, ni marcher; 

21 et ils ne se repentirent pas de leurs meurtres, ni de leurs enchantements, ni de leur impudicité ni de leurs vols.
