Psalm 105

King James Version

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 

2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 

3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 

4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 

5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 

6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. 

7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 

8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. 

9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 

10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 

11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: 

12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. 

13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; 

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; 

15 Saying , Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. 

16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. 

17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: 

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 

19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. 

20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. 

21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: 

22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. 

23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. 

24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies. 

25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants. 

26 He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen. 

27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. 

28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. 

29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. 

30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings. 

31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts. 

32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. 

33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. 

34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number, 

35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. 

36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. 

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. 

38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them. 

39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night. 

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. 

41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. 

42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. 

43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: 

44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; 

45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

1 Preist den HERRN, ruft an seinen Namen, macht unter den Völkern kund seine Taten! (Ps 9:12; Ps 96:3; Isa 12:4) 

2 Singt ihm, spielt ihm, redet von allen seinen Wundern! (Ps 77:13) 

3 Rühmt euch seines heiligen Namens! Es freue sich das Herz derer, die den HERRN suchen! (Ps 104:34) 

4 Fragt nach dem HERRN und seiner Stärke, sucht sein Angesicht beständig! (Ps 27:8; Am 5:4) 

5 Gedenkt seiner Wunder, die er getan hat, seiner Zeichen und der Urteile seines Mundes! (Ps 77:12) 

6 Ihr Nachkommen Abrahams, seines Knechtes, ihr Söhne Jakobs, seine Auserwählten: (De 7:7; Ps 105:42; Ps 105:43; Ps 135:4; Isa 45:4)

10 Er richtete ihn auf für Jakob zur Ordnung, Israel zum ewigen Bund,

12 Als sie noch gering waren an Zahl, nur wenige und Fremdlinge darin, (Ex 6:4) 

13 als sie von Volk zu Volk wanderten, von einem Reich zu einem anderen Volk, 

14 da gestattete er keinem Menschen, sie zu bedrücken, und ihretwegen wies er Könige zurecht: (Ge 12:17; Ge 20:3) 

15 »Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an, tut meinen Propheten nichts Übles!« (Zec 2:12)

29 Er verwandelte ihr Wasser in Blut, ließ sterben ihre Fische. (Ex 7:20; Ex 7:21; Re 16:3) 

30 Es wimmelte ihr Land von Fröschen bis in die Gemächer ihrer Könige. (Ex 8:1) 

31 Er sprach, und es kamen Hundsfliegen, Stechmücken in ihr ganzes Gebiet. (Ex 8:12; Ex 8:16; Isa 7:18) 

32 Er gab ihnen Hagel statt Regen, flammendes Feuer in ihr Land. (Ex 9:24; Re 8:7) 

33 Und er schlug ihre Weinstöcke und Feigenbäume, zerbrach die Bäume ihres Gebiets. 

34 Er sprach, und es kamen Heuschrecken und ⟨ihre⟩ Larven ohne Zahl. (Ex 10:14; Re 9:3) 

35 Sie fraßen alles Kraut in ihrem Land, sie fraßen die Frucht ihres Bodens. (Ex 10:15) 

36 Und er schlug alle Erstgeburt in ihrem Land, die Erstlinge all ihrer Kraft. (Ex 12:29; Ac 7:36) 

37 Dann führte er sie heraus mit Silber und Gold, und kein Strauchelnder war unter seinen Stämmen. (Ex 12:35; 1Sa 2:9; Ps 136:11; Isa 63:13) 

38 Froh war Ägypten bei ihrem Auszug, denn ihr Schrecken war auf sie gefallen. (Ex 12:33) 

39 Er breitete eine Wolke aus zur Decke, ein Feuer, die Nacht zu erleuchten. (Ex 13:21; Ne 9:12) 

40 Sie forderten, und er ließ Wachteln kommen. Mit Himmelsbrot sättigte er sie. (Ex 16:14; Ps 78:24) 

41 Er öffnete den Felsen, und es floss Wasser heraus. Es lief in die Wüste wie ein Strom. (Ex 17:6; Ps 78:15; Isa 48:21; Ac 7:36) 

42 Denn er gedachte seines heiligen Wortes, Abrahams, seines Knechtes, (Ge 15:13; Lu 1:54) 

43 und führte sein Volk heraus in Freude, seine Auserwählten in Jubel. (Ex 14:8; Ex 15:1; Ps 105:6; Ps 106:5) 

44 Er gab ihnen die Länder der Nationen und die Mühe der Völkerschaften nahmen sie in Besitz, (Ne 9:25) 

45 damit sie seine Ordnungen beachteten und seine Gesetze bewahrten. Halleluja! (Ps 78:7; Eze 36:27)
