1An jenem Tag wird dieses Lied im Land Juda gesungen werden: Wir haben eine starke Stadt. Zur Rettung setzt er Mauern und Bollwerk. (Ps 48:4; Isa 60:18)2Macht die Tore auf, dass eine gerechte Nation, die einzieht, Treue bewahrt! (Ps 118:19)3Bewährten Sinn bewahrst du in Frieden, in Frieden, weil er auf dich vertraut. (Isa 32:17; Isa 50:10; Jer 39:18; Php 4:7)4Vertraut auf den HERRN für immer! Denn in Jah, dem HERRN, ist ein Fels der Ewigkeiten. (De 33:27; Ps 62:9; Ps 125:1)5Denn die, die in der Höhe wohnen, hat er niedergeworfen, die hochragende Stadt; er hat sie niedergestürzt, hat sie zu Boden niedergestürzt, hat sie niedergestoßen bis in den Staub. (Ps 42:2; Isa 30:18)9Mit meiner Seele verlangte ich nach dir in der Nacht; ja, mit meinem Geist in meinem Innern suchte ich dich[5]. Denn wenn deine Gerichte die Erde ⟨treffen⟩, lernen die Bewohner des Erdkreises Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 58:12; So 3:1)10Wird dem Gottlosen Gnade zuteil, lernt er nicht Gerechtigkeit; im Land der Geradheit handelt er unrecht und sieht nicht die Hoheit des HERRN. (2Ch 12:8; Joh 8:33)14Tote werden nicht lebendig, Schatten[6] stehen nicht ⟨wieder⟩ auf. Darum hast du sie heimgesucht und ausgerottet und hast jede Erinnerung an sie verloren gehen lassen. (Job 7:9; Job 18:17; Job 24:20; Ps 9:6)15Du hast die Nation vermehrt, HERR, du hast die Nation vermehrt, du hast dich verherrlicht. Du hast alle Grenzen des Landes erweitert[7]. (Isa 33:17; Isa 40:5; Isa 54:2; Jer 30:19)16HERR, in der Not haben sie dich gesucht[8]. Als deine Züchtigung sie bedrängte, schrien sie[9]. (Jud 10:15; Ps 27:8; Ps 77:3; Ps 78:34; Jer 2:27; Jer 29:12; Ho 5:15)17Wie eine Schwangere, die, dem Gebären nahe, sich windet, um Hilfe schreit in ihren Wehen, so sind wir, HERR, vor deinem Angesicht gewesen. (Ge 3:16; Isa 13:8; Jer 4:31)18Wir gingen schwanger, wir wanden uns. ⟨Doch es war,⟩ als ob wir Wind geboren hätten: Rettung verschafften wir dem Land nicht, und Bewohner der Welt wurden nicht geboren.19Deine Toten werden lebendig, meine Leichen ⟨wieder⟩ auferstehen. Wacht auf und jubelt, Bewohner des Staubes[10]! Denn ein Tau der Lichter ist dein Tau, und die Erde wird die Schatten[11] gebären. (Ps 88:11; Eze 37:5; Da 12:2; Ho 6:2)20Geh hin, mein Volk, tritt ein in deine Zimmer und schließ dein Tor[12] hinter dir zu! Verbirg dich einen kleinen Augenblick, bis die Verwünschung vorübergeht! (Ex 12:22; Ps 57:2; Ps 94:13; Mt 6:6)21Denn siehe, der HERR zieht aus seiner Stätte aus, um die Schuld der Erdenbewohner an ihnen heimzusuchen.
