1 Thou shalt not see thy brother' ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother. 2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again. 3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother', which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself. 4 Thou shalt not see thy brother' ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again. 5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman' garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. 6 If a bird' nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young: 7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days. 8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence. 9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled. 10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together. 11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together. 12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself . 13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her, 14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid: 15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel' virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: 16 And the damsel' father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; 17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her , saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter' virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. 18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him; 19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days. 20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: 21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father' house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father' house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you. 22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel. 23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; 24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you. 25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die: 26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter: 27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her. 28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel' father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. 30 A man shall not take his father' wife, nor discover his father' skirt.

Achtung des Eigentums anderer

1 Nicht darfst du zusehen, wie das Rind deines Bruders oder sein Schaf umherirrt und dich ihnen entziehen; du sollst sie deinem Bruder unbedingt zurückbringen. (Ex 23:4) 2 Wenn aber dein Bruder nicht nahe bei dir ⟨wohnt⟩ oder du ihn nicht kennst, dann sollst du es in dein Haus aufnehmen, und es soll bei dir sein, bis dein Bruder es sucht. Dann gib es ihm zurück! 3 Und ebenso sollst du es mit seinem Esel machen, ebenso sollst du es mit seinem Gewand machen, und ebenso sollst du es mit allem Verlorenen deines Bruders machen, das ihm verloren geht und das du findest; du kannst dich nicht entziehen. 4 Du darfst nicht zusehen, wie der Esel deines Bruders oder sein Rind auf dem Weg fallen, und dich ihnen entziehen; du sollst ⟨sie⟩ unbedingt mit ihm aufrichten.

Verschiedene Vorschriften

5 Männerzeug darf nicht auf einer Frau sein, und ein Mann darf nicht das Gewand einer Frau anziehen. Denn jeder, der dieses tut, ist ein Gräuel für den HERRN, deinen Gott. (De 18:12) 6 Wenn sich zufällig ein Vogelnest vor dir auf dem Weg^[1] findet, auf irgendeinem Baum oder auf der Erde, mit Jungen oder mit Eiern, und die Mutter sitzt auf den Jungen oder auf den Eiern, dann darfst du die Mutter auf den Jungen nicht nehmen. 7 Du sollst die Mutter unbedingt fliegen lassen, die Jungen aber magst du dir nehmen, damit es dir gut geht und du deine Tage verlängerst. (Le 22:28; De 4:40) 8 Wenn du ein neues Haus baust, dann sollst du ein Geländer um dein Dach machen, damit du nicht Blutschuld auf dein Haus bringst, wenn irgendjemand von ihm herabfällt. 9 Du sollst deinen Weinberg nicht mit zweierlei ⟨Samen⟩ besäen, damit nicht das Ganze dem Heiligtum verfällt: der Same, den du gesät hast, und der Ertrag des Weinberges. – (Le 19:19; 2Co 6:14) 10 Du sollst nicht mit einem Rind und einem Esel zusammen pflügen. – (Le 19:19; 2Co 6:14) 11 Du sollst nicht Gewebe von verschiedenartigem Stoff anziehen, Wolle und Leinen zusammen. Schutz der Frau vor Verleumdung und Vergewaltigung

13 Wenn ein Mann eine Frau nimmt und zu ihr eingeht, und er hasst sie^[2] 14 und legt ihr Taten zur Last, die sie ins Gerede bringen^[3], und bringt sie in schlechten Ruf^[4] und sagt: Diese Frau habe ich genommen und mich ihr genaht und habe ⟨die Zeichen der⟩ Jungfrauschaft nicht an ihr gefunden!, 15 dann sollen der Vater der jungen Frau und ihre Mutter die ⟨Zeichen der⟩ Jungfrauschaft der jungen Frau nehmen und zu den Ältesten der Stadt ins Tor hinausbringen. 16 Dann soll der Vater der jungen Frau zu den Ältesten sagen: Ich habe meine Tochter diesem Mann zur Frau gegeben, und er hasst sie. 17 Und siehe, er legt ihr Taten zur Last, die sie ins Gerede bringen^[5], indem er sagt: Ich habe an deiner Tochter die ⟨Zeichen der⟩ Jungfrauschaft nicht gefunden! Dies ⟨hier⟩ sind nun die ⟨Zeichen der⟩ Jungfrauschaft meiner Tochter. Und sie sollen das Tuch vor den Ältesten der Stadt ausbreiten. 18 Und die Ältesten jener Stadt sollen den Mann nehmen und ihn züchtigen. 19 Und sie sollen ihm eine Geldbuße von hundert ⟨Schekel⟩ Silber auferlegen und sie dem Vater der jungen Frau geben, weil er eine Jungfrau in Israel in schlechten Ruf gebracht hat^[6]. Und sie soll ⟨weiterhin⟩ seine Frau sein; er kann sie nicht entlassen alle seine Tage. – (Mt 19:6) 20 Wenn aber jene Sache Wahrheit gewesen ist, die ⟨Zeichen der⟩ Jungfrauschaft sind an der jungen Frau nicht gefunden worden, 21 dann sollen sie die junge Frau hinausführen an den Eingang des Hauses ihres Vaters, und die Männer ihrer Stadt sollen sie steinigen, dass sie stirbt, weil sie eine Schandtat in Israel verübt hat, zu huren im Haus ihres Vaters. Und du sollst das Böse aus deiner Mitte wegschaffen. (Ge 34:7; Ge 38:24; Le 20:2; De 17:7)

(Le 20:10; De 17:7; Eze 16:38) 23 Wenn ein Mädchen, eine Jungfrau, einem Mann verlobt ist, und es trifft sie ein Mann in der Stadt und liegt bei ihr, 24 dann sollt ihr sie beide zum Tor jener Stadt hinausführen und sie steinigen, dass sie sterben; das Mädchen deshalb, weil es in der Stadt nicht geschrien hat, und den Mann deshalb, weil er der Frau seines Nächsten Gewalt angetan hat. Und du sollst das Böse aus deiner Mitte wegschaffen. – (Le 20:10; De 17:7; Eze 16:38) 25 Wenn aber der Mann das verlobte Mädchen auf dem Feld trifft, und der Mann ergreift sie und liegt bei ihr, dann soll der Mann, der bei ihr gelegen hat, allein sterben. 26 Aber dem Mädchen sollst du nichts tun, das Mädchen hat keine Sünde ⟨begangen zum⟩ Tode. Diese Sache ist vielmehr so, wie wenn ein Mann sich erhebt gegen seinen Nächsten und ihn totschlägt. (1Jo 5:16) 27 Denn er hat sie auf dem Feld getroffen. Das verlobte Mädchen schrie, aber es hatte keinen Retter. 28 Wenn ein Mann ein Mädchen trifft, eine Jungfrau, die nicht verlobt ist, und ergreift sie und liegt bei ihr, und sie werden ⟨dabei⟩ angetroffen, 29 dann soll der Mann, der bei ihr lag, dem Vater des Mädchens fünfzig ⟨Schekel⟩ Silber geben, und es soll seine Frau werden, weil er ihr Gewalt angetan hat; er kann sie nicht entlassen all seine Tage.
