Vertrauen auf Gottes Schutz

1 Ein Lied Davids. Er dichtete es, als er vor seinem Sohn Abschalom fliehen musste. (2Sam 15,17) 

2 HERR, ich kann sie nicht mehr zählen, so viele sind’s, die sich gegen mich stellen, 

3 so viele, die schadenfroh von mir sagen: »Von dem will Gott nichts mehr wissen!« 

4 Doch du, HERR, umgibst mich mit deinem Schutz; du rettest meine Ehre, du schaffst mir Recht. 

5 Sooft ich auch zu dir um Hilfe rufe, du hörst mich in deinem Heiligtum, von deinem Berg her schickst du mir Antwort. (Jes 14,32) 

6 Ganz ruhig kann ich mich schlafen legen, weil du mich beschützt, bis ich morgens erwache. (Ps 4,9) 

7 Auch wenn’s Tausende sind, die mich umzingeln, sie können mir keine Angst einjagen! (Ps 27,3) 

8 Sieh nicht länger zu, HERR! Du mein Gott, greif doch ein! Ich weiß, du schlägst ihnen aufs freche Maul, du brichst meinen Feinden die Zähne aus. 

9 Wer in Not ist, findet bei dir Hilfe. HERR, gib deinem Volk Gelingen und Glück!

Save Me, O My God

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

1 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; (2Sam 15,12; 2Sam 18,31; 2Sam 18,32) 

2 many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah (2Sam 16,8; Ps 71,11) 

3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (1Mo 15,1; Hi 1,10; Hi 10,15; Ps 27,5; Ps 27,6; Ps 28,7; Ps 84,9; Ps 119,114) 

4 I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah (Ps 2,6; Ps 6,8; Ps 34,4; Ps 34,6; Ps 60,5; Ps 77,1; Ps 108,6; Ps 142,1)
