1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Die auf den HERRN vertraun, sind wie der Zionsberg: Niemals wankt er, er bleibt in Ewigkeit. (Spr 10,30) 

2 Wie Berge Jerusalem rings umgeben, so ist der HERR um sein Volk von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. (5Mo 32,10; Mt 28,20) 

3 Nicht soll das Zepter des Frevels lasten auf dem Erbland der Gerechten, damit nicht auch die Gerechten ihre Hände ausstrecken nach dem Unrecht. (Ps 119,134) 

4 Tu doch Gutes, HERR, den Guten, denen, die redlichen Herzens sind! (Ps 18,26) 

5 Doch die abbiegen auf ihre krummen Wege, / die lasse der HERR samt denen, die Unrecht tun, dahingehn. Friede über Israel! (Ps 92,10)

A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.

1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. They will always be secure. They will last for ever. 

2 Like the mountains around Jerusalem, the LORD is all around his people both now and for ever. 

3 Evil people will not always rule the land the LORD gave to those who do right. If they did, those who do right might do what is evil. 

4 LORD, do good to those who are good. Do good to those whose hearts are honest. 

5 But the LORD will drive out those who have taken crooked paths. He will drive them out with those who do evil things. May Israel enjoy peace.
