Hört doch, ihr Häupter Jakobs / und ihr Anführer des Hauses Israel!
Ist es nicht eure Pflicht, / das Recht zu kennen? (Mi 3,9)2Sie aber hassen das Gute / und lieben das Böse.
Sie ziehen ihnen die Haut ab / und das Fleisch von den Knochen. (Jes 5,20)3Sie haben das Fleisch meines Volkes gefressen / und ihnen die Haut abgezogen / und ihre Knochen zerhackt;
sie haben sie zerstückelt wie für den Kochtopf / und wie Fleisch mitten im Kessel.4Wenn sie dann zum HERRN schreien, / wird er ihnen nicht antworten.
Er wird sein Angesicht vor ihnen verbergen in jener Zeit, / weil sie so böse gehandelt haben. (5Mo 31,17; Jer 11,11)
Drohrede gegen habgierige Propheten
5So spricht der HERR gegen die Propheten: / Sie verführen mein Volk.
Haben sie etwas zu beißen, / dann rufen sie: Friede!
Wer ihnen aber nichts in den Mund steckt, / dem sagen sie den Krieg an.6Darum wird es Nacht für euch, ohne Schauung, / und Finsternis für euch, ohne Wahrsager;
die Sonne geht unter über den Propheten / und es verfinstert sich über ihnen der Tag.7Die Seher werden zuschanden, / die Wahrsager müssen sich schämen.
Sie müssen alle ihren Bart verhüllen; / denn Gottes Antwort bleibt aus.8Ich aber bin voller Kraft, / ich habe den Geist des HERRN, / Recht und Stärke,
Jakob seine Vergehen vorzuhalten / und Israel seine Sünden.
Drohrede gegen bestechliche Herrscher und Richter
9Hört doch dies, ihr Häupter des Hauses Jakob / und ihr Anführer des Hauses Israel,
die ihr das Recht verabscheut / und alles krumm macht, was gerade ist! (Am 5,7; Mi 3,1)10Ihr erbaut Zion mit Blut / und Jerusalem mit Unrecht. (Hab 2,12)11Seine Häupter sprechen Recht gegen Bestechung, / ihre Priester lehren gegen Bezahlung.
Ihre Propheten wahrsagen für Geld / und sie berufen sich auf den HERRN und sagen:
Ist nicht der HERR in unserer Mitte? / Kein Unheil kann über uns kommen. (Jes 1,23)12Darum wird um euretwegen / Zion zum Acker, den man umpflügt,
Jerusalem wird zu einem Trümmerhaufen, / der Tempelberg zu überwucherten Höhen. (Jer 26,18; Mi 1,6)

(Jer 22,13; Hes 22,27; Hab 2,12)11Its heads give judgment for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the Lord and say, “Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No disaster shall come upon us.” (Jes 1,23; Jes 48,2; Jer 6,13; Jer 7,4; Jer 23,17; Hes 22,25; Am 5,14; Am 9,10; Mi 3,5; Mi 7,3)12Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the house a wooded height.
