1 Für den Chormeister. Nach Jedutun. Ein Psalm Davids. 2 Bei Gott allein wird ruhig meine Seele, von ihm kommt mir Rettung. (Ps 37,7; Jes 30,15) 3 Er allein ist mein Fels und meine Rettung, meine Burg, ich werde niemals wanken. 4 Wie lange stürmt ihr heran gegen einen Einzelnen, / ihr alle, um ihn zu morden, wie gegen eine Wand, die sich neigt, eine Mauer, die einstürzt? 5 Ja, sie planen, ihn von seiner Höhe zu stürzen; Lügen ist ihre Lust. Mit dem Mund segnen sie, in ihrem Inneren aber verfluchen sie. [Sela] (Ps 28,3) 6 Bei Gott allein werde ruhig meine Seele, denn von ihm kommt meine Hoffnung. (Ps 42,6; Mi 7,7) 7 Er allein ist mein Fels und meine Rettung, meine Burg, ich werde nicht wanken. 8 Bei Gott ist meine Rettung und meine Ehre, mein starker Fels, in Gott ist meine Zuflucht. (Ps 3,4; Ps 92,16) 9 Vertraut ihm, Volk, zu jeder Zeit! / Schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus! Denn Gott ist unsere Zuflucht. [Sela] (Jes 26,4) 10 Nur Windhauch sind die Menschen, nur Trug die Menschenkinder. Sie schnellen empor auf der Waage, leichter als Windhauch sind sie alle. (Ps 39,6; Jes 40,15) 11 Vertraut nicht auf Unterdrückung, verlasst euch nicht auf Raub! Wenn der Reichtum wächst, verliert nicht euer Herz an ihn! (Mt 19,22; Lk 12,15; 1Tim 6,17) 12 Eines hat Gott gesprochen, zweierlei hab ich gehört: Ja, die Macht ist bei Gott (Hi 40,5) 13 und bei dir, mein Herr, ist die Huld. My Soul Waits for God Alone

1 To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (Ps 33,20; Ps 37,7; Ps 39,1) 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Ps 9,9; Ps 10,6; Ps 18,2) 3 How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? (Jes 30,13) 4 They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. (Hi 13,11; Ps 28,3) 5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. (Ps 62,1) 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. (Ps 62,2) 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. (Ps 3,8; Ps 14,6) 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. (Ps 37,3; Ps 42,4; Ps 62,7) 9 Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath. (Ps 39,5; Ps 116,11; Jes 40,17) 10 Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them. Dio, unico rifugio

Solo in Dio trova riposo l’anima mia; da lui proviene la mia salvezza. 2 Lui solo è la mia rocca e la mia salvezza, il mio alto rifugio; io non potrò vacillare. 3 Fino a quando vi scaglierete contro un uomo e cercherete tutti insieme di abbatterlo come si abbatte una parete che pende, o un muricciolo che cede? 4 Essi non pensano che a farlo cadere dalla sua altezza, prendono piacere nella menzogna; benedicono con la bocca, ma in cuor loro maledicono. [Pausa] 5 Anima mia, trova riposo in Dio solo, poiché da lui proviene la mia speranza. 6 Egli solo è la mia rocca e la mia salvezza; egli è il mio rifugio; io non potrò vacillare. 7 Dio è la mia salvezza e la mia gloria; la mia forte rocca e il mio rifugio sono in Dio. 8 Confida in lui in ogni tempo, o popolo; apri il tuo cuore in sua presenza; Dio è il nostro rifugio. [Pausa] 9 Gli uomini del volgo non sono che vanità, e i nobili non sono che menzogna; messi sulla bilancia vanno su, tutti insieme sono più leggeri della vanità. 10 Non abbiate fiducia nella violenza, non mettete vane speranze nella rapina; se le ricchezze abbondano, si distacchi da esse il vostro cuore. 11 Dio ha parlato una volta, due volte ho udito questo: che il potere appartiene a Dio. 12 A te pure, o Signore, appartiene la misericordia; perché tu retribuirai ciascuno secondo le sue azioni.
