Lied zur Wallfahrt nach Jerusalem

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Von David. Ich freute mich, als man mir sagte: Zum Haus des HERRN wollen wir gehen. (Ps 42,5; Jes 2,3) 2 Schon stehen unsere Füße in deinen Toren, Jerusalem: 3 Jerusalem, als Stadt erbaut, die fest in sich gefügt ist. (Ps 48,13) 4 Dorthin zogen die Stämme hinauf, die Stämme des HERRN, / wie es Gebot ist für Israel, den Namen des HERRN zu preisen. (5Mo 16,16) 5 Denn dort stehen Throne für das Gericht, die Throne des Hauses David. (5Mo 17,8; 1Kön 7,7; 2Chr 19,8) 6 Erbittet Frieden für Jerusalem! Geborgen seien, die dich lieben. (Tob 13,14) 7 Friede sei in deinen Mauern, Geborgenheit in deinen Häusern! 8 Wegen meiner Brüder und meiner Freunde will ich sagen: In dir sei Friede. 9 Wegen des Hauses des HERRN, unseres Gottes, will ich dir Glück erflehen. (Ps 26,8; Ps 128,5)

2 Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem! 3 Jerusalem—built as a city that is bound firmly together, (Neh 4,6; Ps 147,2) 4 to which the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as was decreed for^[1] Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord. Auguri di pace per Gerusalemme

1 Canto dei pellegrinaggi. Di Davide. Mi sono rallegrato quando mi hanno detto: «Andiamo alla casa del Signore». 2 I nostri passi si sono fermati alle tue porte, o Gerusalemme; 3 Gerusalemme, che sei costruita come una città ben compatta, 4 dove salgono le tribù, le tribù del Signore, secondo la legge imposta a Israele, per celebrare il nome del Signore. 5 Qua infatti furono eretti i troni per il giudizio, i troni della casa di Davide. 6 Pregate per la pace di Gerusalemme! Quelli che ti amano vivano tranquilli. 7 Ci sia pace all’interno delle tue mura e tranquillità nei tuoi palazzi! 8 Per amore dei miei fratelli e dei miei amici, io dirò: «La pace sia dentro di te!» 9 Per amore della casa del Signore, del nostro Dio, io cercherò il tuo bene.
