Von der rechten Sorge
19Sammelt euch nicht Schätze hier auf der Erde, wo Motte und Wurm sie zerstören und wo Diebe einbrechen und sie stehlen, (Lk 12,33)20sondern sammelt euch Schätze im Himmel, wo weder Motte noch Wurm sie zerstören und keine Diebe einbrechen und sie stehlen!21Denn wo dein Schatz ist, da ist auch dein Herz.22Die Leuchte des Leibes ist das Auge. Io vi dico in verità che questo è il premio che ne hanno.3Ma quando tu fai l’elemosina, non sappia la tua sinistra quel che fa la destra,4affinché la tua elemosina sia fatta in segreto; e il Padre tuo, che vede nel segreto, te ne darà la ricompensa.

Le preoccupazioni

Non valete voi molto più di loro?27E chi di voi può, con la propria ansietà, aggiungere un’ora sola alla durata della sua vita?28E perché siete così ansiosi per il vestire? Osservate come crescono i gigli della campagna: essi non faticano e non filano;29eppure io vi dico che neanche Salomone[5], con tutta la sua gloria, si vestì come uno di loro.30Ora se Dio veste in questa maniera l’erba dei campi che oggi è, e domani è gettata nel forno, non farà molto di più per voi, o gente di poca fede?31Non siate dunque in ansia, dicendo: “Che mangeremo?
