1Nach diesen Ereignissen stellte Gott Abraham auf die Probe. Er sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Er sagte: Hier bin ich. (2Mo 3,4; 1Sam 3,4)2Er sprach: Nimm deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, den du liebst, Isaak, geh in das Land Morija und bring ihn dort auf einem der Berge, den ich dir nenne, als Brandopfer dar! (2Chr 3,1)3Frühmorgens stand Abraham auf, sattelte seinen Esel, nahm zwei seiner Jungknechte mit sich und seinen Sohn Isaak, spaltete Holz zum Brandopfer und machte sich auf den Weg zu dem Ort, den ihm Gott genannt hatte. (1Mo 21,14)4Als Abraham am dritten Tag seine Augen erhob, sah er den Ort von Weitem.5Da sagte Abraham zu seinen Jungknechten: Bleibt mit dem Esel hier! Ich aber und der Knabe, wir wollen dorthin gehen und uns niederwerfen; dann wollen wir zu euch zurückkehren.6Abraham nahm das Holz für das Brandopfer und lud es seinem Sohn Isaak auf. Er selbst nahm das Feuer und das Messer in die Hand. So gingen beide miteinander.7Da sprach Isaak zu seinem Vater Abraham. Er sagte: Mein Vater! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich, mein Sohn! Dann sagte Isaak: Hier ist Feuer und Holz. Wo aber ist das Lamm für das Brandopfer?8Abraham sagte: Gott wird sich das Lamm für das Brandopfer ausersehen, mein Sohn. Und beide gingen miteinander weiter.9Als sie an den Ort kamen, den ihm Gott genannt hatte, baute Abraham dort den Altar, schichtete das Holz auf, band seinen Sohn Isaak und legte ihn auf den Altar, oben auf das Holz.10Abraham streckte seine Hand aus und nahm das Messer, um seinen Sohn zu schlachten. (Hebr 11,17; Jak 2,21)11Da rief ihm der Engel des HERRN vom Himmel her zu und sagte: Abraham, Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich.12Er sprach: Streck deine Hand nicht gegen den Knaben aus und tu ihm nichts zuleide! Denn jetzt weiß ich, dass du Gott fürchtest; du hast mir deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, nicht vorenthalten. (Röm 8,32)13Abraham erhob seine Augen, sah hin und siehe, ein Widder hatte sich hinter ihm mit seinen Hörnern im Gestrüpp verfangen. Abraham ging hin, nahm den Widder und brachte ihn statt seines Sohnes als Brandopfer dar.14Abraham gab jenem Ort den Namen: Der HERR sieht, wie man noch heute sagt: Auf dem Berg lässt sich der HERR sehen. (1Mo 16,13)15Der Engel des HERRN rief Abraham zum zweiten Mal vom Himmel her zu16und sprach: Ich habe bei mir geschworen - Spruch des HERRN: Weil du das getan hast und deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, mir nicht vorenthalten hast,17will ich dir Segen schenken in Fülle und deine Nachkommen überaus zahlreich machen wie die Sterne am Himmel und den Sand am Meeresstrand. Deine Nachkommen werden das Tor ihrer Feinde einnehmen. (1Mo 15,5; 1Mo 24,60; 1Mo 32,13; Hebr 6,14)18Segnen werden sich mit deinen Nachkommen alle Völker der Erde, weil du auf meine Stimme gehört hast. (1Mo 18,18)19Darauf kehrte Abraham zu seinen Jungknechten zurück. Sie machten sich auf und gingen miteinander nach Beerscheba. Abraham blieb in Beerscheba wohnen.
Die Nachkommen Nahors
20Nach diesen Ereignissen meldete man Abraham: Siehe, auch Milka hat deinem Bruder Nahor Söhne geboren: (1Mo 11,29)21Uz, seinen Erstgeborenen, dessen Bruder Bus und Kemuël, den Stammvater der Aramäer,22ferner Kesed, Haso, Pildasch, Jidlaf und Betuël.23Betuël zeugte Rebekka. Diese acht gebar Milka dem Nahor, dem Bruder Abrahams. (1Mo 24,1)24Er hatte noch eine Nebenfrau namens Rëuma. Auch sie bekam Kinder, nämlich Tebach, Gaham, Tahasch und Maacha.
1Und es geschah nach diesen Dingen, da stellte Gott den Abraham auf die Probe. Und er sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Und er sagte: Hier bin ich! Da ging Abraham hin, nahm den Widder und opferte ihn anstelle seines Sohnes als Brandopfer.14Und Abraham gab diesem Ort den Namen »Der HERR wird ersehen[1]«, von dem man heute ⟨noch⟩ sagt: Auf dem Berg des HERRN wird ersehen[2].15Und der Engel des HERRN rief Abraham ein zweites Mal vom Himmel her zu (1Mo 31,11; 1Mo 48,16)16und sprach: Ich schwöre bei mir selbst, spricht der HERR[3], deshalb, weil du das getan und deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, ⟨mir⟩ nicht vorenthalten hast, (Jes 45,23; Jer 22,5; Mi 7,20; Lk 1,73)17darum werde ich dich reichlich segnen und deine Nachkommen überaus zahlreich machen wie die Sterne des Himmels und wie der Sand, der am Ufer des Meeres ist; und deine Nachkommenschaft wird das Tor ihrer Feinde in Besitz nehmen. 1Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, ‘Abraham!’ ‘Here I am,’ Abraham replied.2Then God said, ‘Take your son, your only son. He is the one you love. Take Isaac. Go to the place called Moriah. Give your son to me there as a burnt offering. Sacrifice him on the mountain I will show you.’3Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took two of his servants and his son Isaac with him. He cut enough wood for the burnt offering. Then he started out for the place God had shown him.4On the third day Abraham saw the place a long way off.5He said to his servants, ‘Stay here with the donkey. All these things will happen because you have obeyed me.’19Then Abraham returned to his servants. They started out together for Beersheba. And Abraham stayed in Beersheba.
Nahor’s sons
20Some time later Abraham was told, ‘Milkah has become a mother. She has had sons by your brother Nahor.21Uz was born first. Then came his brother Buz. Kemuel was born next. He became the father of Aram.22Milkah’s other sons are Kesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph and Bethuel.’23Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. Milkah had the eight sons by Abraham’s brother Nahor.24Nahor had a concubine named Reumah. She also had sons. They were Tebah, Gaham, Tahash and Maakah.

1Když pakty věci pominuly, zkusil Bůh Abrahama, a řekl k němu: Abrahame! Kterýžto odpověděl: Teď jsem.2I řekl: Vezmi nyní syna svého, toho jediného svého, kteréhož miluješ, Izáka, a jdi do země Moria; a obětuj ho tam v obět zápalnou na jedné hoře, o níž povím tobě.3Tedy vstav Abraham velmi ráno, osedlal osla svého a vzal dva služebníky své s sebou, a Izáka syna svého; a nasekav dříví k oběti zápalné, vstal a bral se k místu, o němž pověděl mu Bůh.4Třetího pak dne pozdvihl Abraham očí svých, a uzřel to místo zdaleka.5A řekl Abraham služebníkům svým: Pozůstaňte vy tuto s oslem, já pak a dítě půjdeme tamto; a pomodlíce se, navrátíme se k vám.6Tedy vzal Abraham dříví k zápalné oběti, a vložil je na Izáka syna svého; sám pak nesl v ruce své oheň a meč. I šli oba spolu.7Mluvě pak Izák Abrahamovi otci svému, řekl: Otče můj! Kterýž odpověděl: Co chceš, synu můj? A řekl: Aj, teď oheň a dříví, a kdež hovádko k zápalné oběti?8Odpověděl Abraham: Bůh opatří sobě hovádko k oběti zápalné,synu můj. A šli předce oba spolu.9A když přišli k místu, o němž mu byl mluvil Bůh, udělal tu Abraham oltář, a srovnal dříví; a svázav syna svého, vložil ho na oltář na dříví.10I vztáhl Abraham ruku svou, a vzal meč, aby zabil syna svého.11Tedy zavolal na něho anděl Hospodinův s nebe a řekl: Abrahame, Abrahame! Kterýžto odpověděl: Aj, já.12I řekl jemu: Nevztahuj ruky své na dítě, aniž mu co čiň; neboť jsem již poznal, že se Boha bojíš, když jsi neodpustil synu svému, jedinému svému pro mne.13A pozdvih Abraham očí svých, viděl, a hle, skopec za ním vězel v trní za rohy své. I šel Abraham a vzal skopce toho, a obětoval jej v obět zápalnou místo syna svého.14A nazval Abraham jméno místa toho: Hospodin opatří. Odkudž říká se do dnes: Na hoře Hospodinově opatří se.15Zvolal pak anděl Hospodinův na Abrahama podruhé s nebe,16A řekl: Skrze sebe samého přisáhl jsem, praví Hospodin, poněvadž jsi učinil tu věc, že jsi neodpustil synu svému, jedinému svému:17Požehnám velmi tobě, a velice rozmnožím símě tvé jako hvězdy nebeské, a jako písek, kterýž jest na břehu mořském; nadto dědičně vládnouti bude símě tvé branami nepřátel svých.18Ano požehnáni budou v semeni tvém všickni národové země, proto že jsi uposlechl hlasu mého.19Tedy navrátil se Abraham k služebníkům svým; a vstavše, šli spolu do Bersabé; nebo bydlil Abraham v Bersabé.20A když se tyto věci staly, zvěstováno jest Abrahamovi v tato slova: Aj, porodila také Melcha syny Náchorovi, bratru tvému:21Husa prvorozeného svého, a Buza bratra jeho, a Chamuele, otce Aramova;22A Kazeda a Azana, a Feldasa, a Jidlafa i Bathuele.23Bathuel pak zplodil Rebeku. Osm těchto porodila Melcha Náchorovi, bratru Abrahamovu.24Ale i ženina jeho, jejíž jméno bylo Réma, porodila také ona Tábe a Gahama, Thása a Máchu.
1Po nějaké době se Bůh rozhodl Abrahama vyzkoušet. Zavolal: „Abrahame!“ „Zde jsem,“ odpověděl.2Bůh řekl: „Vezmi svého syna, svého jediného, svého milovaného Izáka, a jdi do země Moria. Tam ho obětuj jako zápalnou oběť na hoře, kterou ti určím.“3Druhý den brzy ráno Abraham vstal, osedlal svého osla, vzal s sebou dva služebníky a svého syna Izáka. Nasekal dříví pro zápalnou oběť a vypravil se k místu, jež mu Bůh určil.4Třetího dne Abraham pozvedl oči a spatřil to místo v dálce.5Tehdy řekl svým služebníkům: „Zůstaňte tu s oslem. Já a chlapec půjdeme až tam, pokloníme se Bohu a vrátíme se k vám.“6Abraham vzal dříví pro zápalnou oběť a naložil je na svého syna Izáka. Sám nesl v ruce oheň a nůž. A tak šli oba spolu.7„Otče,“ oslovil Izák svého otce Abrahama. „Ano, můj synu?“ odpověděl mu. „Vidím oheň a dřevo,“ řekl Izák. „Kde je ale beránek k zápalné oběti?“8„Bůh si opatří beránka k zápalné oběti, můj synu,“ odpověděl Abraham. A tak šli oba spolu.9Když přišli na místo, jež mu Bůh určil, Abraham tam postavil oltář a narovnal dřevo. Pak svázal svého syna Izáka a položil ho na dřevo na oltáři.10Abraham vztáhl ruku a vzal nůž, aby svého syna podřízl.11Vtom na něj z nebe zavolal Hospodinův anděl: „Abrahame! Abrahame!“ „Zde jsem,“ odpověděl.12„Nevztahuj ruku na chlapce!“ řekl on. „Nic mu nedělej! Už jsem poznal, že jsi bohabojný – vždyť jsi kvůli mně neušetřil svého syna, svého jediného.“13Abraham tedy vzhlédl a hle, uviděl za sebou berana uvízlého za rohy v křoví. Abraham tedy šel, vzal toho berana a obětoval ho jako zápalnou oběť místo svého syna.14To místo pak Abraham nazval „Hospodin opatří,“ takže se dodnes říká: „Na Hospodinově hoře se opatří.“15Hospodinův anděl pak na Abrahama zavolal z nebe podruhé:16„Přísahám při sobě samém, praví Hospodin, protože jsi učinil tuto věc a neušetřil jsi svého syna, svého jediného:17Nesmírně ti požehnám a nesmírně rozmnožím tvé símě – jako hvězdy na nebi a jako písek na břehu moře. Tvé símě ovládne brány svých nepřátel18a ve tvém semeni dojdou požehnání všechny národy země, protože jsi uposlechl můj hlas.“19Nato se Abraham vrátil ke svým služebníkům a odešli spolu do Beer-šeby. Abraham potom bydlel v Beer-šebě.
Náchorovo potomstvo
20Po nějaké době bylo Abrahamovi oznámeno: „Hle, také Milka porodila syny tvému bratru Náchorovi:21svého prvorozeného Úce, jeho bratra Búze a Kemuele (otce Aramova),22Keseda, Chazoa, Pildaše, Jidlafa a Betuela.“23(A Betuel zplodil Rebeku.) Těchto osm synů porodila Abrahamovu bratru Náchorovi Milka.24Také jeho družka jménem Reuma rodila děti: Tebacha, Gachama, Tachaše a Maaku.
