Wives and Husbands
22Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ge 3:16; Eph 6:5; Col 3:18)23For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. (1Co 6:13; 1Co 11:3; Eph 1:22; Eph 1:23)24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. (Col 3:20; Col 3:22; Tit 2:9)25Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, (Eph 5:2; Eph 5:28; 1Pe 3:7)26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, (Joh 15:3; Eph 6:17; Tit 3:5; Heb 6:5; Re 7:14)27so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[1] (So 4:7; 2Co 1:4; 2Co 11:2)28In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. (Eph 5:25)29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,30because we are members of his body. (Ge 2:23; 1Co 6:15)31“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” (Ge 2:24; Mt 19:5; Mr 10:7; Mr 10:8; 1Co 6:16)32This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.33However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. (Eph 5:25; 1Pe 3:2; 1Pe 3:6)
Wandel in Liebe und Licht bedeutet, alles Böse zu meiden
1Werdet nun Gottes Nachahmer als geliebte Kinder (Joh 12:26; 1Th 1:6)2und wandelt in der Liebe, gleichwie auch Christus uns geliebt und sich selbst für uns gegeben hat als Darbringung und Schlachtopfer, zu einem lieblichen Geruch für Gott. (Le 1:9; Joh 13:34; Joh 15:9; Ga 1:4)3Unzucht aber und alle Unreinheit oder Habsucht soll nicht einmal bei euch erwähnt werden, wie es Heiligen geziemt; (Col 3:5; 1Th 4:3; 1Th 4:7; 1Pe 1:15)4auch nicht Schändlichkeit und albernes Geschwätz oder Witzeleien, die sich nicht gehören, sondern vielmehr Danksagung. (Mt 12:36; Eph 5:20; 1Th 5:18)5Denn das sollt ihr wissen, dass kein Unzüchtiger oder Unreiner oder Habsüchtiger (der ein Götzendiener ist), ein Erbteil hat im Reich des Christus und Gottes. (1Co 6:9; Re 21:8; Re 21:27)6Lasst euch von niemand mit leeren Worten verführen! Denn um dieser Dinge willen kommt der Zorn Gottes über die Söhne des Ungehorsams. (Jer 29:8; Ro 1:18; Col 3:6; 2Th 2:2; 1Jo 3:7)7So werdet nun nicht ihre Mitteilhaber! (Ps 1:1; Pr 1:10; 2Co 6:14)8Denn ihr wart einst Finsternis; jetzt aber seid ihr Licht in dem Herrn. Wandelt als Kinder des Lichts! (Mt 5:14; Joh 12:36; Ro 13:12; 2Co 4:6; Eph 4:18; Php 2:15; 1Th 5:5)9Die Frucht des Geistes besteht nämlich in lauter Güte und Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit. (Ga 5:22)10Prüft also, was dem Herrn wohlgefällig ist, (Ro 12:2; 2Co 5:9)11und habt keine Gemeinschaft mit den unfruchtbaren Werken der Finsternis, deckt sie vielmehr auf; (Pr 1:10; Ro 13:12)12denn was heimlich von ihnen getan wird, ist schändlich auch nur zu sagen. (Lu 12:2; Ro 1:24; Eph 5:3)13Das alles aber wird offenbar, wenn es vom Licht aufgedeckt wird; denn alles, was offenbar wird, das ist Licht. (Ec 12:14; Joh 3:20)14Darum heißt es: Wache auf, der du schläfst, und stehe auf aus den Toten, so wird Christus dich erleuchten! (Ps 31:17; Ps 80:4; Isa 9:1; Ro 13:11; 2Co 4:6; 1Th 5:5)15Seht nun darauf, wie ihr mit Sorgfalt wandelt, nicht als Unweise, sondern als Weise; (Pr 14:8)16und kauft die Zeit aus, denn die Tage sind böse. (Ec 12:1; Col 4:5)17Darum seid nicht unverständig, sondern seid verständig, was der Wille des Herrn ist! (1Co 14:20; Col 1:9)18Und berauscht euch nicht mit Wein, was Ausschweifung ist, sondern werdet voll Geistes; (Lu 1:15; Lu 11:13; Ac 4:31; Ro 13:13; 2Co 3:6)19redet zueinander mit Psalmen und Lobgesängen und geistlichen Liedern; singt und spielt dem Herrn in eurem Herzen; (Ps 34:2; Col 3:16)20sagt allezeit Gott, dem Vater, Dank für alles, in dem Namen unseres Herrn Jesus Christus; (Col 3:17; 1Th 5:18)21ordnet euch einander unter in der Furcht Gottes! (1Pe 5:5)
Mann und Frau in Gottes Lebensordnung. Christus und die Gemeinde
22Ihr Frauen, ordnet euch euren eigenen Männern unter als dem Herrn; (Col 3:18; 1Pe 3:1)23denn der Mann ist das Haupt der Frau, wie auch der Christus das Haupt der Gemeinde ist; und er ist der Retter des Leibes. (1Co 11:3; Eph 1:22; 1Ti 4:10)24Wie nun die Gemeinde sich dem Christus unterordnet, so auch die Frauen ihren eigenen Männern in allem. (Ge 3:16; 1Co 14:34; Eph 5:33)25Ihr Männer, liebt eure Frauen, gleichwie auch der Christus die Gemeinde geliebt hat und sich selbst für sie hingegeben hat, (Col 3:19; Tit 2:14)26damit er sie heilige, nachdem er sie gereinigt hat durch das Wasserbad im Wort, (Joh 15:3)27damit er sie sich selbst darstelle als eine Gemeinde, die herrlich sei, sodass sie weder Flecken noch Runzeln noch etwas Ähnliches habe, sondern dass sie heilig und tadellos sei. (Col 1:18; Col 1:22; Jud 1:24)28Ebenso sind die Männer verpflichtet, ihre eigenen Frauen zu lieben wie ihre eigenen Leiber; wer seine Frau liebt, der liebt sich selbst. (Col 3:19)29Denn niemand hat je sein eigenes Fleisch gehasst, sondern er nährt und pflegt es, gleichwie der Herr die Gemeinde. (Pr 11:17; Ec 4:5; Isa 40:11; Eze 34:14; Eze 34:27; Ro 1:31)30Denn wir sind Glieder seines Leibes, von seinem Fleisch und von seinem Gebein. (1Co 12:27)31»Deshalb wird ein Mann seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen und seiner Frau anhängen[1], und die zwei werden ein Fleisch sein«.[2] (Ge 2:24; Mt 19:5)32Dieses Geheimnis ist groß; ich aber deute es auf Christus und auf die Gemeinde. (So 8:7)33Doch auch ihr — jeder von euch liebe seine Frau so wie sich selbst; die Frau aber erweise dem Mann Ehrfurcht! (1Pe 3:5)
