1 A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! (Ps 69:2; Ps 69:14; Ps 120:1; La 3:55; Jon 2:2) 2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! (2Ch 6:40; Ps 86:6; Ps 140:6) 3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? (Job 10:14; Ps 76:7; Ps 90:8; Ps 143:2; Am 2:15; Na 1:6; Mal 3:2; Eph 6:13; Re 6:17) 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. (1Ki 8:39; Ps 86:5; Ps 86:15; Ps 130:7; Isa 55:7; Jer 33:8; Da 9:9; Ro 2:4) 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; (Ps 33:20; Ps 40:1; Ps 119:74; Ps 119:81; Isa 8:17; Isa 26:8) 6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. (Ps 5:3; Ps 63:6; Ps 119:147; Ps 123:2) 7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. (Ps 130:4; Ps 131:3) 8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. (Ps 25:22; Ps 111:9; Mt 1:21; Lu 1:68; Tit 2:14)

1 Chant des montées. Du fond du gouffre, je fais appel à toi, Eternel! 2 Seigneur, écoute-moi! Que tes oreilles soient attentives à mes supplications! 3 Si tu tenais compte de nos fautes, Eternel, Seigneur, qui pourrait subsister? 4 Mais le pardon se trouve auprès de toi afin qu'on te craigne. 5 J'espère en l'Eternel de toute mon âme et je m'attends à sa promesse. 6 Je compte sur le Seigneur plus que les gardes n'attendent le matin, oui, plus que les gardes n'attendent le matin. 7 Israël, mets ton espoir en l'Eternel, car c'est auprès de l'Eternel que se trouve la bonté, c'est auprès de lui que se trouve une généreuse libération. 8 C'est lui qui rachètera Israël de toutes ses fautes.
