1When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. (Re 5:1; Re 6:1)2Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. (Lu 1:19)3And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, (Ex 30:1; Ex 30:3; Am 9:1; Re 5:8; Re 9:13)4and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. (Ps 141:2)5Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings,[1] flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. (Le 16:12; Ps 18:7; Re 4:5)
The Seven Trumpets
6Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them.7The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. (Ex 9:23; Ps 18:13; Isa 2:13; Eze 38:22; Joe 2:30; Zec 13:8; Re 8:8; Re 9:4; Re 9:15; Re 9:18; Re 12:4)8The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. (Ex 7:17; Ex 7:19; Jer 51:25; Mr 11:23; Re 11:6)9A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Isa 2:16)10The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. (Isa 14:12; Re 9:1; Re 14:7; Re 16:4)11The name of the star is Wormwood.[2] A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter. (Ex 15:23; De 29:18; Jer 9:15; Jer 23:15)12The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. (Ex 10:21; Isa 13:10; Isa 30:26)13Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” (Re 9:12; Re 11:14)
1هنگامی كه«برّه» مهر هفتم را گشود، در آسمان نزديک به نيم ساعت سكوت مطلق برقرار شد.2سپس ديدم كه هفت فرشته در حضور خدا ايستادهاند. به ايشان هفت شيپور داده شد.3پس از آن، فرشتهٔ ديگری آمد و در كنار قربانگاه ايستاد. در دست او آتشدانی برای سوزاندن بخور بود. پس به او مقدار زيادی بخور دادند تا با دعاهای مؤمنين بياميزد و بر روی قربانگاه زرّين كه پيش تخت خدا قرار دارد، تقديم كند.4آنگاه بوی معطر بخور، آميخته به دعاهای مؤمنين، از دست فرشته به پيشگاه خدا بالا رفت.5سپس آن فرشته، آتشدان را از آتش قربانگاه پر كرد و به سوی زمين انداخت. ناگاه، رعد و برق و زلزله ايجاد شد.
چهار شيپور اول
6آنگاه، هفت فرشتهای كه هفت شيپور داشتند، آماده شدند تا شيپورها را به صدا درآورند.7فرشتهٔ اول شيپور را به صدا درآورد. ناگهان، بر روی زمين تگرگ و آتش و خون باريد، به طوری كه يک سوم زمين آتش گرفت و يک سوم درختان با تمام سبزهها سوخت.8-9فرشتهٔ دوم شيپور را نواخت. ناگاه چيزی مثل كوهی بزرگ و آتشين به دريا افتاد، به طوری که يک سوم تمام كشتیها غرق شدند و يک سوم دريا مانند خون، سرخ شد، و يک سوم تمام ماهيها مردند.10وقتی فرشتهٔ سوم شيپور را به صدا درآورد، ستارهای شعلهور از آسمان بر روی يک سوم رودخانهها و چشمهها افتاد.11نام آن ستارهٔ «تلخ» بود؛ و هنگامی كه وارد يک سوم تمام آبهای زمين شد، آبها تلخ گرديد و بسياری به علت تلخی آن جان سپردند.12سپس فرشتهٔ چهارم شيپور را نواخت. همان لحظه ضربهای به يک سوم خورشيد و ماه و ستارگان وارد آمد، به طوری که يک سوم آنها تاريک شد. به اين ترتيب، يک سوم روز و يک سوم شب در تاريكی فرو رفت.13همچنانكه غرق تماشا بودم، عقابی ديدم كه در وسط آسمان پرواز میكند و به آواز بلند میگويد: «وای، وای، وای به حال اهالی زمين، زيرا اكنون آن سه فرشتهٔ ديگر نيز شيپور خود را به صدا در خواهند آورد.»
