(Ps 10:8; Ps 55:19)5They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, “Who can see them?” (Job 22:13; Ps 140:5; Jer 23:14; Eze 13:22)6They search out injustice, saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.” For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep. (Ps 49:11)7But God shoots his arrow at them; they are wounded suddenly. (Ps 7:12; Ps 58:7)8They are brought to ruin, with their own tongues turned against them; all who see them will wag their heads. (Ps 22:7; Ps 40:3; Pr 12:13; Pr 18:7; Jer 18:16; Jer 48:27)9Then all mankind fears; they tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done. 1ای خدا، به نالههای شكوهآميز من گوش كن و جانم را از دست دشمنان حفظ فرما.2در مقابل توطئهٔ بدكاران كه فتنه بر پا میكنند، از من محافظت كن.3-4آنها زبان خود را همچون شمشير، تيز كردهاند و به جای تير و كمان با سخنان تلخ مجهز شدهاند تا در كمينگاههای خود به انسان بیگناه شبيخون زنند.5آنها يكديگر را در انجام دادن نقشههای شرورانهٔ خود تشويق میكنند. دربارهٔ اينكه كجا دامهای خود را كار بگذارند با هم مشورت مینمايند، و میگويند: «هيچكس نمیتواند اينها را ببيند.»6آنها نقشهٔ شوم طرح میكنند و میگويند: «نقشهٔ ما نقصی ندارد!» فكر و دل انسان چقدر حيلهگر است!7اما خدا اين بدكاران را هدف تيرهايش قرار خواهد داد و آنها در يک چشم به هم زدن نقش زمين خواهند شد.8آری، آنها طعمهٔ سخنان زشت خود خواهند شد. كسانی كه آنها را بينند با تمسخر سر خود را تكان خواهند داد.9ايشان خواهند ترسيد و دربارهٔ كارهای خدا تفكر خواهند نمود و آنها را برای ديگران تعريف خواهند كرد.10نيكان در خداوند شادی كنند و بر او توكل نمايند؛ همهٔ پاكدلان او را ستايش كنند!
