1جان من تنها نزد خدا آرام میيابد، زيرا نجات من از جانب اوست.2او نجات دهنده و تنها صخرهٔ پناهگاه من است؛ او قلعهٔ محافظ من است، پس هرگز شكست نخواهم خورد.3ای آدميان، تا به كی هجوم میآوريد تا مرا كه همچون ديواری فرو ريختهام از پای درآوريد؟4تنها فكرتان اين است كه مرا از اين مقامی كه دارم به زير اندازيد؛ شما دروغ را دوست داريد. به زبان خود مرا بركت میدهيد ولی در دلتان لعنتم میكنيد.5ای جان من، تنها نزد خدا آرام ياب، زيرا اميد من بر اوست.6او نجات دهنده و تنها صخرهٔ پناهگاه من است؛ او قلعهٔ محافظ من است، پس هرگز شكست نخواهم خورد.7نجات و عزت من از جانب خداست؛ قوت و پناهگاه من خداست.8ای مردم، همه وقت بر او توكل نماييد؛ دلهای خود را به حضور او بريزيد، زيرا خدا پناهگاه ماست.9همهٔ انسانها در مقابل او ناچيزند؛ اشخاص سرشناس و افراد بینام و نشان، همگی در ترازوی او بالا میروند، زيرا از باد هم سبكترند.10بر خشونت تكيه نكنيد و به كسب ثروت از راه دزدی دل خوش نكنيد، و هرگاه ثروتتان زياد شود دل بر آن نبنديد.11بيش از يک بار شنيدهام كه خداوند فرموده است: «قوت از آن من است.»12ای خداوند، رحمت نيز از آن توست، و تو هر کس را بر اساس كارهايش پاداش خواهی داد.
