(Ps 9:1)8O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. (Ps 27:4)9Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, (Ps 28:3)10in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. 1ای خداوند، به داد من برس، زيرا در كمال صداقت رفتار میكنم و توكل راسخ به تو دارم.2خداوندا، مرا بيازما. فكر و دل مرا تفتيش كن و پاک ساز؛3زيرا رحمت تو را در نظر دارم و وفاداری تو را شعار زندگی خود كردهام.4با مردان نادرست نمینشينم و با اشخاص دورو و متظاهر رفت و آمد نمیكنم.5از بدكاران نفرت دارم و با شروران معاشرت نمیكنم.6دستهای خود را خواهم شست تا نشان دهم كه بیگناهم، سپس قربانگاه تو را طواف خواهم كرد.7آنگاه با سراييدن سرود شكرگزاری كارهای شگفتانگيز تو را به همه خبر خواهم داد.8خداوندا، خانهٔ تو را كه حضور پرجلالت در آنجاست، دوست میدارم.9-10پس با من مانند بدكاران و قاتلان رفتار نكن كه رشوه میدهند و خون مردم را میريزند.11اما من راستی را پيشه كردهام؛ بر من رحم كن و مرا نجات ده.12خداوند را در حضور مردم سپاس خواهم گفت، زيرا مرا از خطر میرهاند.
