(Isa 26:9)8He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, (De 7:9; Ps 105:42; Ps 106:45; Ps 111:5; Lu 1:72)9the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, (Ge 17:2; Ge 22:15; Ge 26:3)10which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, (Ge 28:13; Ge 35:11)11saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.” (Ge 13:15; Ge 15:18; Ps 78:55)12When they were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it, (Ge 34:30; De 7:7; De 26:5; Heb 11:9)13wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,14he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, (Ge 12:17; Ge 20:3; Ge 35:5)15saying, “Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!” (Ge 20:6; Ge 26:11)16When he summoned a famine on the land and broke all supply[1] of bread, (Ge 41:54; Le 26:26; 2Ki 8:1; Ps 104:15; Isa 3:1; Eze 4:16; Hag 1:11)17he had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. (Ge 37:28; Ge 37:36; Ge 45:5; Ge 50:20; Ac 7:9)18His feet were hurt with fetters; his neck was put in a collar of iron; (Ge 39:20)19until what he had said came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. (Ge 40:20; Ge 41:53; Jud 7:4)20The king sent and released him; the ruler of the peoples set him free; (Ge 41:14; Ps 146:7)21he made him lord of his house and ruler of all his possessions, (Ge 41:40)22to bind[2] his princes at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom.23Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. (Ge 46:6; Ps 78:51; Ps 106:22; Ac 7:15; Ac 13:17)24And the Lord made his people very fruitful and made them stronger than their foes. (Ex 1:7; De 26:5)25He turned their hearts to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants. (Ex 1:8; Ex 1:10; Ex 9:12; Ac 7:19; Ro 11:8)26He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen. (Ex 3:10; Ex 4:12; Nu 16:5; Nu 17:5)27They performed his signs among them and miracles in the land of Ham. (Ps 78:43; Ps 105:23)28He sent darkness, and made the land dark; they did not rebel[3] against his words. (Ex 10:21; Ps 99:7)29He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die. (Ex 7:21)30Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings. (Ex 8:3)31He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country. (Ex 8:16; Ex 8:21)32He gave them hail for rain, and fiery lightning bolts through their land. (Ex 9:23)33He struck down their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country. (Ex 9:25)34He spoke, and the locusts came, young locusts without number, (Ex 10:12)35which devoured all the vegetation in their land and ate up the fruit of their ground.36He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength. (Ps 78:51)37Then he brought out Israel with silver and gold, and there was none among his tribes who stumbled. (Ex 12:35)38Egypt was glad when they departed, for dread of them had fallen upon it. (Ex 12:23; Ex 15:16)39He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night. (Ex 13:21; Job 36:20; Isa 4:5)40They asked, and he brought quail, and gave them bread from heaven in abundance. (Ex 16:13; Ps 78:18; Ps 78:24; Ps 78:27; Joh 6:31)41He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed through the desert like a river. (Ps 63:1; Ps 78:15)42For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham, his servant. (Ge 15:14; Ex 2:24; Ps 105:6; Ps 105:8)43So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing. (Ex 15:1; Ps 105:42; Isa 35:10)44And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil, (Jos 24:13; Ps 78:55)45that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. 1خداوند را به سبب كارهای شگفتانگيزش سپاس گوييد. كارهای او را برای ساير قومها تعريف كنيد.2او را بستاييد و دربارهٔ كارهای شگفتانگيزش تفكر نماييد.3ای طالبان خداوند به او افتخار كنيد. دل شما هميشه شاد باشد.4از او كمک بخواهيد و پيوسته او را طلب كنيد.5-6ای فرزندان ابراهيم و يعقوب، ای بندگان برگزيدهٔ خداوند، كارهای شگفتانگيز و داوريهای او را به ياد آوريد!7«يهوه» خدای ما است و سراسر جهان را داوری میكند.8-9او تا ابد به عهدی كه با ابراهيم بسته و سوگندی كه برای اسحاق خورده است، اگرچه هزار پشت هم بگذرد، وفادار خواهد ماند.10-11اين است عهد جاودانی او با اسرائيل كه فرمود: «سرزمين كنعان را به شما خواهم بخشيد تا ميراث شما شود.»12خداوند اين وعده را هنگامی به اسرائيل داد كه هنوز قومی كوچک بودند و در كنعان در غربت به سر میبردند،13در ميان قبايل سرگردان بودند و از يک ديار به دياری ديگر میرفتند.14-15اما خداوند نگذاشت كسی بر آنها ظلم كند. او حتی پادشاهان را به خاطر آنها هشدار داده، گفت: «بر برگزيدگان من دست دراز نكنيد و به انبيای من آزار نرسانيد.»16خداوند در كنعان خشكسالی پديد آورد و قحطی تمام سرزمين آنجا را فرا گرفت.17او پيش از آن يوسف را به مصر فرستاده بود. برادران يوسف او را همچون برده فروخته بودند.18پاهای يوسف را به زنجير بستند و گردن او را در حلقهٔ آهنی گذاشتند.19او در زندان ماند تا زمانی كه پيشگويیاش به وقوع پيوست. در زندان خداوند صبر و بردباری او را آزمود.20آنگاه، فرعون دستور داد تا يوسف را از زندان بيرون آورده، آزاد سازند.21سپس او را ناظر خانهٔ خود و حاكم سرزمين مصر نمود22تا بر بزرگان مملكت فرمان راند و مشايخ را حكمت آموزد.23آنگاه يعقوب و فرزندانش به مصر رفتند و در آن سرزمين ساكن شدند.24خداوند قوم خود را در آنجا بزرگ ساخت و آنها را از دشمنانشان قویتر كرد.25اما از طرف ديگر، خداوند كاری كرد كه مصریها بر قوم او ظلم كنند و ايشان را بردهٔ خود سازند.26سپس بندگان خود موسی و هارون را كه برگزيده بود، نزد بنیاسرائيل فرستاد.27موسی و هارون، كارهای شگفتانگيز و معجزات خدا را در مصر به ظهور آوردند.28خدا سرزمين مصر را با تاريكی پوشانيد اما مصريان فرمان خدا را مبنی بر آزاد سازی قوم اسرائيل اطاعت نكردند.29او آبهای ايشان را به خون مبدل ساخت و همهٔ ماهيانشان را كشت.30زمين آنها و حتی قصر فرعون پر از قورباغه شد.31به امر خداوند انبوه پشه و مگس در سراسر مصر پديد آمد.32به جای باران، تگرگ مرگبار و رعد و برق بر زمين مصر فرستاد33و باغهای انگور و تمام درختان انجير مصریها را از بين برد.34-35خداوند امر فرمود و ملخهای بیشماری پديد آمدند و تمام گياهان و محصولات مصر را خوردند.36او همهٔ پسران ارشد مصریها را كشت.37سرانجام بنیاسرائيل را در حالی که طلا و نقره فراوانی با خود برداشته بودند، صحيح و سالم از مصر بيرون آورد.38مصريان از رفتن آنها شاد شدند، زيرا از ايشان ترسيده بودند.39خداوند در روز بر فراز قوم اسرائيل ابر میگسترانيد تا آنها را از حرارت آفتاب محفوظ نگاه دارد و در شب، آتش به ايشان میبخشيد تا به آنها روشنايی دهد.40آنها گوشت خواستند و خداوند برای ايشان بلدرچين[1] فرستاد و آنها را با نان آسمانی سير كرد.41او صخره را شكافت و از آن آب جاری شد و در صحرای خشک و سوزان مثل رودخانه روان گرديد.42زيرا خداوند اين وعدهٔ مقدس را به بندهٔ خويش ابراهيم داده بود كه نسل او را بركت دهد.43پس او قوم برگزيدهٔ خود را در حالی که با شادی سرود میخواندند از مصر بيرون آورد،44و سرزمين قومهای ديگر را با تمام محصولاتشان به آنها بخشيد45تا در آن سرزمين نسبت به وی وفادار مانده، از دستوراتش اطاعت نمايند. خداوند را سپاس باد!
