from Biblica1دل پادشاه در دست خداوند است، او آن را مانند آب جوی، به هر سو كه بخواهد هدايت میكند.2تمام كارهای انسان به نظر خودش درست است، اما انگيزهها را خداوند میبيند.3به جا آوردن عدالت و انصاف بيشتر از تقديم قربانیها خداوند را خشنود میسازد.4غرور و تكبر گناهانی هستند كه آدم بدكار توسط آنها شناخته میشود.5زيركی و كوشش، انسان را توانگر میكند، اما شتابزدگی باعث فقر میشود.6ثروتی كه از راه نادرست به دست آيد، هرگز دوام نمیآورد. پس چرا بايد در اين راه جان خود را به خطر بيندازی؟7ظلم بدكارانی كه نمیخواهند راستی را به جا آورند، عاقبت به سوی خودشان باز میگردد و آنان را نابود میكند.8راه آدم گناهكار كج است ولی شخص پاک در راستی گام برمیدارد.9سكونت در گوشهٔ پشت بام بهتر است از زندگی كردن با زن ستيزهجو در يک خانه مشترک.10آدم بدكار ظلم را دوست دارد و حتی همسايهاش از دست او در امان نيست.11جاهلان تا تنبيه شدن مسخرهكنندگان را نبينند درس عبرت نمیگيرند، اما دانايان تنها با شنيدن میآموزند.12خداشناسان از مشاهدهٔ خراب شدن خانهٔ بدكاران و هلاكت ايشان پند میگيرند.13آنكه فرياد فقيران را نشنيده میگيرد در روز تنگدستی خود نيز فريادرسی نخواهد داشت.14هديهای كه در خفا داده میشود خشم را میخواباند و رشوهٔ پنهانی غضب شديد را فرو مینشاند.15اجرای عدالت برای آدم درستكار شادیبخش است، اما برای آدم بدكار مصيبتبار.16مرگ در انتظار كسانی است كه از راه حكمت منحرف میشوند.17كسی كه خوشگذرانی را دوست دارد، تهيدست میشود و آدم ميگسار و عياش هرگز ثروتمند نخواهد شد.18بدكاران در همان دامی كه برای درستكاران نهادهاند، گرفتار میشوند.19سكونت در بيابان بیآب و علف بهتر است از زندگی كردن با زن ستيزهجو.20خانهٔ شخص دانا از نعمت و ثروت پر است، ولی آدم نادان هر چه به دست میآورد بر باد میدهد.21درستكار و مهربان باش تا عمر خوشی داشته باشی و از احترام و موفقيت برخوردار شوی.22يک مرد دانا میتواند شهر زورمندان را بگيرد و قلعه اعتمادشان را فرو بريزد.23هر كه مواظب سخنانش باشد جانش را از مصیبتها نجات خواهد داد.24كسانی كه ديگران را مسخره میكنند، مغرور و متكبرند.25داشتن اشتياق و آرزو برای شخص تنبل كشنده است، زيرا برای رسيدن به آن تن به كار نمیدهد.26او تمام روز در آرزوی گرفتن به سر میبرد؛ ولی شخص خداشناس سخاوتمند است و از بخشيدن به ديگران دريغ نمیكند.27خدا از قربانيهای بدكاران نفرت دارد، بخصوص اگر با نيت بد تقديم شده باشد.28شاهد دروغگو نابود خواهد شد، اما سخنان شخص امين تا ابد باقی خواهد ماند.29آدم بدكار خودسرانه عمل میكند، اما شخص درستكار تمام جوانب امر را میسنجد.30هيچ حكمت و بصيرت و نقشهای نمیتواند عليه خداوند عمل كند.31انسان اسب را برای روز جنگ آماده میكند، ولی پيروزی را خداوند میبخشد.
