The Inheritance for Simeon

1 The second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of the people of Simeon, according to their clans, and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the people of Judah. (Ge 49:7; Jos 19:9) 2 And they had for their inheritance Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah, (1Ch 4:28) 3 Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem, 4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, 5 Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah, 6 Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen—thirteen cities with their villages; 7 Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan—four cities with their villages, 8 together with all the villages around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negeb. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Simeon according to their clans. 9 The inheritance of the people of Simeon formed part of the territory of the people of Judah. Because the portion of the people of Judah was too large for them, the people of Simeon obtained an inheritance in the midst of their inheritance. (Jos 19:1)

The Inheritance for Zebulun

10 The third lot came up for the people of Zebulun, according to their clans. And the territory of their inheritance reached as far as Sarid. 11 Then their boundary goes up westward and on to Mareal and touches Dabbesheth, then the brook that is east of Jokneam. (Ge 49:13; Jos 12:22; Jos 18:14; Jos 21:34)

12 From Sarid it goes in the other direction eastward toward the sunrise to the boundary of Chisloth-tabor. From there it goes to Daberath, then up to Japhia. 13 From there it passes along on the east toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and going on to Rimmon it bends toward Neah, 14 then on the north the boundary turns about to Hannathon, and it ends at the Valley of Iphtahel; 15 and Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem—twelve cities with their villages. (Jos 11:1) 16 This is the inheritance of the people of Zebulun, according to their clans—these cities with their villages.

The Inheritance for Issachar

17 The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the people of Issachar, according to their clans. 18 Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem, (1Sa 28:4) 19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, 20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, 21 Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, Beth-pazzez. 22 The boundary also touches Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and its boundary ends at the Jordan—sixteen cities with their villages. 23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Issachar, according to their clans—the cities with their villages.

The Inheritance for Asher

24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of the people of Asher according to their clans. 25 Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph, 26 Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. On the west it touches Carmel and Shihor-libnath, (1Ki 18:19; 1Ki 18:42; 2Ki 2:25; 2Ki 4:25; So 7:5; Isa 33:9; Jer 50:19)

27 then it turns eastward, it goes to Beth-dagon, and touches Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtahel northward to Beth-emek and Neiel. Then it continues in the north to Cabul, (1Ki 9:13) 28 Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, as far as Sidon the Great. (Jos 11:8; Jud 1:31) 29 Then the boundary turns to Ramah, reaching to the fortified city of Tyre. Then the boundary turns to Hosah, and it ends at the sea; Mahalab,^[1] Achzib, 30 Ummah, Aphek and Rehob—twenty-two cities with their villages. 31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Asher according to their clans—these cities with their villages.

The Inheritance for Naphtali

32 The sixth lot came out for the people of Naphtali, for the people of Naphtali, according to their clans. 33 And their boundary ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, and Adami-nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, and it ended at the Jordan. (Jud 4:11) 34 Then the boundary turns westward to Aznoth-tabor and goes from there to Hukkok, touching Zebulun at the south and Asher on the west and Judah on the east at the Jordan. (De 33:23) 35 The fortified cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth, (Jos 11:2) 36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, (Jos 11:1) 37 Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor, 38 Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh—nineteen cities with their villages. 39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Naphtali according to their clans—the cities with their villages.

The Inheritance for Dan

40 The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the people of Dan, according to their clans. 41 And the territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh, 42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, (Jud 1:35) 43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron, 44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, 45 Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon, 46 and Me-jarkon and Rakkon with the territory over against Joppa. (2Ch 2:16; Ezr 3:7) 47 When the territory of the people of Dan was lost to them, the people of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and striking it with the sword they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor. (Jud 1:34; Jud 18:1) 48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Dan, according to their clans—these cities with their villages.

The Inheritance for Joshua

49 When they had finished distributing the several territories of the land as inheritances, the people of Israel gave an inheritance among them to Joshua the son of Nun. 50 By command of the Lord they gave him the city that he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. And he rebuilt the city and settled in it. (Jos 24:30; Jud 2:9) 51 These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the people of Israel distributed by lot at Shiloh before the Lord, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. So they finished dividing the land. (Nu 34:17; Jos 14:1; Jos 18:1)

زمين قبيله شمعون

1-2 دومين قرعه به نام شمعون درآمد. زمين خاندانهای اين قبيله، در داخل مرزهای زمين يهودا قرار داشت و شامل اين شهرها میشد: بئرشبع، شبع، مولاده، 3 حَصَرشوعال، بالح، عاصم، 4 التولد، بتول، حرمه، 5 صقلغ، بيتمركبوت، حصرسوسه، 6 بيتلباعوت و شاروحن، جمعاً سيزده شهر با روستاهای اطراف. 7 عين، رمون، عاتر و عاشان، جمعاً چهار شهر با روستاهای اطراف 8 و تمام روستاهای اطراف اين شهرها تا بعلتبئير (كه رامهٔ نگب هم گفته میشد). اين بود زمينی كه به خاندانهای قبيلهٔ شمعون داده شد. 9 اين زمين از سهمی بود كه قبلاً برای قبيلهٔ يهودا تعيين گرديده بود، چون زمين سهم يهودا برای ايشان زياد بود.

زمين قبيلهٔ زبولون

10 سومين قرعه به نام زبولون درآمد. مرز زمين خاندانهای اين قبيله از ساريد شروع میشد 11 و به طرف مغرب تا مرعله و دباشه كشيده شده، به درهٔ شرق يُقنَعام میرسيد. 12 از طرف شرق ساريد نيز تا حدود كسلوت تابور و از آنجا تا دابره و يافيع كشيده میشد. 13 باز به طرف شرق امتداد يافته، به جت حافر و عت قاصين كشيده میشد، سپس از رمون گذشته، به نيعه میرسيد. 14 اين خط مرزی در شمال، به طرف حناتون برمیگشت و به درهٔ يفتحئيل منتهی میشد. 15-16 شهرهای قطه، نهلال، شمرون، يدَلَه و بيتلحم نيز جزو ملک قبيلهٔ زبولون بودند. جمعاً دوازده شهر با روستاهای اطرافشان به خاندانهای قبيلهٔ زبولون تعلق گرفت.

زمين قبيلهٔ يساكار

17-18 چهارمين قرعه به نام يساكار درآمد. شهرهای خاندانهای اين قبيله عبارت بودند از: يزرعيل، كسلوت، شونم، 19 حفارايم، شیئون، اناحره، 20 ربيت، قشيون، آبص، 21 رمه، عينجنيم، عينحده و بيتفصيص. 22-23 خط مرزی قبيلهٔ يساكار از شهرهای تابور، شحصيمه و بيتشمس میگذشت و به رود اردن منتهی میشد. جمعاً شانزده شهر با روستاهای اطرافشان به خاندانهای قبيلهٔ يساكار تعلق گرفت.

زمين قبيلهٔ اشير

24-25 پنجمين قرعه به نام اشير درآمد. شهرهای خاندانهای اين قبيله عبارت بودند از: حلقه، حلی، باطَن، اكشاف، 26 الملک، عمعاد و مشآل، خط مرزی قبيلهٔ اشير در غرب، به طرف كرمل و شيحور لبنه كشيده میشد 27 و از آنجا به سمت مشرق به طرف بيتداجون میپيچيد و به زبولون و درهٔ يفتحئيل میرسيد. از آنجا به طرف شمال به سوی بيتعامق و نعیئيل امتداد يافته از شرق كابول میگذشت. 28 سپس از حبرون، رحوب، حمون، قانه و صيدون بزرگ میگذشت. 29 سپس اين خط مرزی به طرف رامه میپيچيد و به شهر حصاردار صور میرسيد و باز به طرف شهر حوصه پيچيده در ناحيه اكزيب به دريای مديترانه منتهی میشد. 30-31 عمه، عفيق و رحوب نيز جزو ملک اشير بودند. جمعاً بيست و دو شهر با روستاهای اطرافشان به خاندانهای قبيلهٔ اشير تعلق گرفت.

زمين قبيلهٔ نفتالی

32-33 ششمين قرعه به نام نفتالی درآمد. خط مرزی زمين خاندانهای اين قبيله از حالف شروع میشد و از بلوطی كه در صعنيم است گذشته، در امتداد ادامی، ناقب و يبنئيل به لقوم میرسيد و از آنجا به رود اردن منتهی میشد. 34 اين خط مرزی در غرب به سمت ازنوت تابور میپيچيد و از آنجا به طرف حقوق پيش میرفت. زمين نفتالی با زبولون در جنوب، با اشير در غرب و با رود اردن در شرق هم مرز میشد. 35 شهرهای حصارداری كه در زمين نفتالی واقع شده بودند از اين قرارند: صديم، صير، حَمَت، رَقَت، كنارت، 36 ادامه، رامه، حاصور، 37 قادش، ادرعی، عينحاصور، 38-39 يَرون، مجدلئيل، حوريم، بيتعنات و بيتشمس. جمعاً نوزده شهر با روستاهای اطرافشان به خاندانهای قبيلهٔ نفتالی تعلق گرفت.

زمين قبيلهٔ دان

40-41 هفتمين قرعه به نام دان درآمد. شهرهای خاندانهای اين قبيله عبارت بودند از: صرعه، اِشتائُل، عيرشمس، 42 شَعَلبين، اَيَلون، يتله، 43 الون، تمنه، عقرون، 44 اَلتَقيت، جِبَتون، بعله، 45 يهود، بنیبرق، جترمون، 46 مياهيرقون، رقون و همچنين زمين مقابل يافا. 47 (ولی زمينی كه برای قبيلهٔ دان تعيين شد، برای ايشان كافی نبود. پس قبيلهٔ دان به شهر لَشَم در شمال حمله برده، آن را تصرف نمودند و اهالی آنجا را قتل عام كردند. سپس در آنجا ساكن شدند و نام جد خويش، دان را بر آن شهر نهادند.) 48 اين شهرها و روستاهای اطرافشان به خاندانهای قبيلهٔ دان تعلق گرفت.

ملک يوشع

49-50 پس از اينكه زمينها ميان قبايل اسرائيل تقسيم شد و حدود هر كدام تعيين گرديد، قوم اسرائيل مطابق دستور خداوند، به يوشع ملكی پيشنهاد كردند و او تمنه سارح را كه در ميان كوهستان افرايم واقع شده بود برای خود برگزيد و آن را دوباره بنا كرد و در آن ساكن شد. 51 به اين ترتيب، قرعهكشی و تقسيم زمين بين قبايل اسرائيل در شيلوه، جلو دروازهٔ خيمهٔ عبادت انجام شد. در اين قرعهكشی كه در حضور خداوند برگزار گرديد، العازار كاهن، يوشع و سران قبايل حاضر بودند و نظارت میكردند.
