The King of Glory

A Psalm of David.

1 The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof,^[1] the world and those who dwell therein, (Ex 9:29; Ex 19:5; De 10:14; Job 41:11; Ps 50:12; Ps 89:11; 1Co 10:26)

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? (Ps 2:6; Ps 15:1) 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.^[2] Selah (Ps 14:5; Ps 27:8; Ps 105:4) 7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. (Ps 118:19; Ps 118:20; Isa 26:2; 1Co 2:8)

8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! (Ex 15:3) 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah (Mal 1:14)
