1 Why do the nations rage[1] and the peoples plot in vain? (Ps 46:6; Ac 4:25) 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, (Ps 18:50; Ps 20:6; Ps 45:7; Ps 89:20) 3 “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” (Jer 5:5) 4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. (Job 22:19; Ps 11:4; Ps 29:10; Ps 37:13; Ps 59:8; Pr 1:26; Isa 40:22) 5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, (Re 6:16) 6 “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” (2Sa 5:7; Ps 3:4; Ps 15:1; Ps 43:3; Ps 99:9; Ps 110:2; Pr 8:23) 7 I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. (Ac 13:33; Ro 1:4; Heb 1:5; Heb 5:5) 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. (Ps 72:8; Ps 89:27; Da 7:14) 9 You shall break[2] them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” (Job 34:24; Ps 89:23; Isa 30:14; Jer 19:11; Re 2:27; Re 12:5; Re 19:15) 10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Php 2:12; Php 4:4; Heb 12:28) 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. 1 De ce se întărâtă neamurile și cugetă popoarele lucruri fără folos? 2 Regii pământului se ridică, și conducătorii se strâng laolaltă împotriva DOMNULUI și împotriva Unsului[1] Său, zicând: (Ac 4:25) 3 „Să Le rupem legăturile și să aruncăm funiile Lor de pe noi!“ 4 Cel Ce șade[2] în ceruri râde; Stăpânul Își bate joc de ei. 5 Apoi le vorbește în mânia Lui și‑i îngrozește în furia Lui, zicând: 6 „Totuși, Eu L‑am înscăunat pe Împăratul[3] Meu peste Sion, muntele Meu cel sfânt.“ (Ps 2:2) 7 Voi vesti hotărârea DOMNULUI: El Mi‑a zis: „Tu ești Fiul[4] Meu! Astăzi Te‑am născut! (Ps 2:2) 8 Cere‑Mi și‑Ți voi da neamurile drept moștenire și marginile pământului în stăpânire! 9 Tu le vei zdrobi cu un toiag de fier, le vei sfărâma ca pe vasul unui olar.“ 10 De aceea, regilor, fiți înțelepți! Judecători ai pământului, primiți învățătură! 11 Slujiți DOMNULUI cu teamă și bucurați‑vă tremurând! 12 Dați sărutare Fiului, ca nu cumva să Se mânie și să pieriți pe cale, căci mânia Lui este gata să se aprindă! Ferice de toți cei ce se adăpostesc în El!
