1The Lord said to Moses,2“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, (Ex 17:10; Ex 17:12; Ex 24:14; Ex 35:30; Ex 36:1; 1Ch 2:20)3and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, (Ex 35:31; 1Ki 7:14)4to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,5in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.6And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And I have given to all able men ability, that they may make all that I have commanded you: (Ex 28:3; Ex 35:10; Ex 35:34; Ex 35:35; Ex 36:1)7the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent, (Ex 36:8; Ex 37:1; Ex 37:6)8the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, (Ex 37:10; Ex 37:17; Ex 37:25)9and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, (Ex 38:1; Ex 38:8)10and the finely worked garments,[1] the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests, (Ex 35:19; Ex 39:1; Ex 39:41)11and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the Holy Place. According to all that I have commanded you, they shall do.” (Ex 30:7; Ex 30:25; Ex 30:31; Ex 30:34; Ex 37:29)
The Sabbath
12And the Lord said to Moses,13“You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, ‘Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you.14You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. (Ex 35:2; Nu 15:32; Jer 17:27)15Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. (Ge 2:2; Ex 16:23; Ex 20:9; Ex 20:10; Ex 31:14)16Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever.17It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’” (Ge 1:31; Ge 2:2; Ex 31:13; Heb 4:4; Heb 4:10)18And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. 1DOMNUL i‑a vorbit lui Moise, zicând: (Ex 35:30)2„Iată că l‑am chemat pe nume pe Bețalel[1], fiul lui Uri, fiul lui Hur, din seminția lui Iuda,3și l‑am umplut cu Duhul lui Dumnezeu, cu înțelepciune, cu pricepere și cunoaștere pentru tot felul de lucrări,4ca să creeze proiecte de artă, să prelucreze aurul, argintul și bronzul,5să taie și să fixeze pietre, să prelucreze lemnul și să facă tot felul de lucrări.6Iată că i l‑am dat ca ajutor și pe Oholiab, fiul lui Ahisamah, din seminția lui Dan, și am pus înțelepciune în mintea tuturor celor cu inima înțeleaptă, ca să facă tot ce ți‑am poruncit:7Cortul Întâlnirii, Chivotul Mărturiei și Capacul Ispășirii care este peste el, precum și toate obiectele din cort –8masa și obiectele ei, sfeșnicul din aur curat cu toate obiectele lui, altarul tămâierii,9altarul arderilor‑de‑tot cu toate uneltele lui, ligheanul cu piedestalul lui,10veșmintele țesute cu măiestrie, veșmintele sfinte ale preotului Aaron, veșmintele fiilor săi pentru slujirea ca preoți,11untdelemnul pentru ungere și tămâia mirositoare pentru Locul Sfânt. Toate acestea vor trebui să le facă după cum ți‑am poruncit.“
Imperativul păzirii Sabatului și tablele Legământului
12DOMNUL i‑a vorbit lui Moise, zicând:13„Vorbește‑le fiilor lui Israel și spune‑le: «Să țineți neapărat Sabatele Mele, pentru că lucrul acesta este un semn între Mine și voi de‑a lungul generațiilor voastre, ca să știți că Eu, DOMNUL, vă sfințesc[2]. (Ex 13:2)14Să țineți Sabatul, căci este sfânt pentru voi. Cel ce îl profanează va fi pedepsit cu moartea. Căci oricine face vreo lucrare în timpul lui va fi nimicit din mijlocul poporului său!15Timp de șase zile să‑ți faci lucrarea, iar în ziua a șaptea este Sabatul, o zi sfântă de odihnă[3] pentru DOMNUL. Oricine face vreo lucrare în ziua de Sabat să fie pedepsit cu moartea. (Ex 16:23)16Fiii lui Israel să țină Sabatul, păzindu‑l de‑a lungul generațiilor lor ca pe un legământ veșnic.17Acesta va fi un semn veșnic între Mine și fiii lui Israel, căci în șase zile a făcut DOMNUL cerurile și pământul, iar în ziua a șaptea S‑a oprit și Și‑a tras răsuflarea.»“18Când Dumnezeu a terminat de vorbit cu Moise pe muntele Sinai, i‑a dat cele două table[4] ale Mărturiei, table de piatră scrise cu degetul lui Dumnezeu.
