Psalm 24

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,[1] the world and those who dwell therein, (Ex 9:29; Ex 19:5; De 10:14; Job 41:11; Ps 50:12; Ps 89:11; 1Co 10:26) 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (Ge 1:9; Job 38:6; Ps 104:5; Ps 136:6; Pr 8:29) 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? (Ps 2:6; Ps 15:1) 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. (De 10:12; Job 22:30; Ps 31:6; Ps 73:1; Ps 119:37; Isa 33:15; Eze 18:6; Mic 6:8; Mt 5:8) 5 He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Ge 22:17; Ps 27:9; Ps 38:22; Ps 51:14; Ps 88:1; Isa 46:13; Isa 56:1) 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.[2] (Ps 14:5; Ps 27:8; Ps 105:4) 7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. (Ps 118:19; Isa 26:2; 1Co 2:8) 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! (Ex 15:3) 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! (Mal 1:14)

1 Ein Psalm Davids. Die Erde ist des HERRN und was darinnen ist, der Erdkreis und die darauf wohnen. (Joh 1:11; 1Co 10:26) 2 Denn er hat ihn über den Meeren gegründet und über den Wassern bereitet. 3 Wer darf auf des HERRN Berg gehen, und wer darf stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte? (Ps 15:1) 4 Wer unschuldige Hände hat und reinen Herzens ist, wer nicht bedacht ist auf Lüge und nicht schwört zum Trug: 5 der wird den Segen vom HERRN empfangen und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils. (Isa 48:18) 6 Das ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm fragt, das da sucht dein Antlitz, Gott Jakobs. Sela. 7 Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch,[1] dass der König der Ehre einziehe! (2Sa 6:1; Isa 40:3) 8 Wer ist der König der Ehre? Es ist der HERR, stark und mächtig, der HERR, mächtig im Streit. 9 Machet die Tore weit und die Türen in der Welt hoch, dass der König der Ehre einziehe! 10 Wer ist der König der Ehre? Es ist der HERR Zebaoth; er ist der König der Ehre. Sela.
