1I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that was not called by[1] my name. (Isa 2:2; Isa 18:7; Isa 19:19; Isa 19:25; Zec 14:16; Ro 10:20; Eph 2:12)2I spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, following their own devices; (Ro 10:21)3a people who provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens and making offerings on bricks; (Isa 1:29; Isa 57:3; Isa 66:17)4who sit in tombs, and spend the night in secret places; who eat pig’s flesh, and broth of tainted meat is in their vessels; (Isa 66:17)5who say, “Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I am too holy for you.” These are a smoke in my nostrils, a fire that burns all the day. (Isa 1:31; Isa 9:18)6Behold, it is written before me: “I will not keep silent, but I will repay; I will indeed repay into their lap (Ps 50:3; Ps 79:12; Jer 2:22; Jer 16:18; Jer 17:1)7both your iniquities and your fathers’ iniquities together, says the Lord; because they made offerings on the mountains and insulted me on the hills, I will measure into their lap payment for their former deeds.”[2] (Ex 20:5; Eze 20:27; Mt 23:35)8Thus says the Lord: “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and they say, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,’ so I will do for my servants’ sake, and not destroy them all. (Isa 2:21; Isa 17:6)9I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, and from Judah possessors of my mountains; my chosen shall possess it, and my servants shall dwell there. (Isa 27:6; Isa 37:31)10Sharon shall become a pasture for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down, for my people who have sought me. (Jos 7:26; Isa 33:9; Isa 35:2; Isa 51:1; Ho 2:15)11But you who forsake the Lord, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny, (Jos 24:20; Isa 65:25; Eze 23:41; Joe 3:17; 1Co 10:21)12I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in.” (Pr 1:24; Isa 66:4; Jer 7:13)13Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame; (Ps 22:26; Isa 55:1)14behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart, but you shall cry out for pain of heart and shall wail for breaking of spirit. (Ps 5:11)15You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord God will put you to death, but his servants he will call by another name, (De 28:37; Isa 62:2; Isa 65:9; Jer 29:22; Zec 8:13)16so that he who blesses himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth, and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten and are hidden from my eyes. (De 32:4; Isa 43:18; Jer 4:2)
New Heavens and a New Earth
17“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. (Isa 66:22; 2Pe 3:13; Re 21:1)18But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy, and her people to be a gladness. (Jer 31:7)19I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress. (Isa 35:10; Isa 62:5; Isa 66:10; Re 21:4)20No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the young man shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed. (Pr 3:2; Ec 8:12)21They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. (De 28:30; Eze 28:26)22They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy[3] the work of their hands. (Ps 92:12; Isa 65:21)23They shall not labor in vain or bear children for calamity,[4] for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their descendants with them. (De 28:41; Ps 115:12; Isa 49:4; Isa 61:9)24Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. (Ps 32:5; Da 9:21)25The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the Lord. (Ge 3:14; Isa 11:6; Isa 11:9; Mic 7:17)

Die sollen ein Rauch werden in meiner Nase, ein Feuer, das den ganzen Tag brennt.6Siehe, es steht vor mir geschrieben: Ich will nicht schweigen, sondern heimzahlen; ja, ich will es ihnen heimzahlen,7beides, ihre Missetaten und ihrer Väter Missetaten miteinander, spricht der HERR, die auf den Bergen geräuchert und mich auf den Hügeln geschändet haben. Ja, ich will ihnen heimzahlen ihr früheres Tun.8So spricht der HERR: Wie wenn man noch Saft in der Traube findet und spricht: Verdirb es nicht, denn es ist ein Segen darin!, so will ich um meiner Knechte willen tun, dass ich nicht alles verderbe. (Ge 18:26; Isa 6:13)9Ich will aus Jakob Nachkommen wachsen lassen und aus Juda Erben, die meine Berge besitzen; meine Auserwählten sollen sie besitzen, und meine Knechte sollen dort wohnen.10Und meinem Volk, das nach mir fragt, soll Scharon eine Weide für die Herde werden und das Tal Achor ein Lagerplatz für das Vieh. (Jos 7:26; Isa 33:9)11Aber ihr, die ihr den HERRN verlasst und meines heiligen Berges vergesst und dem Gad einen Tisch zurichtet und dem Meni[1] vom Trankopfer voll einschenkt, –12wohlan, euch will ich dem Schwert übergeben, dass ihr euch alle zur Schlachtung hinknien müsst; denn ich rief, und ihr habt nicht geantwortet, ich redete, und ihr habt nicht gehört, sondern tatet, was mir nicht gefiel, und erwähltet, wonach ich kein Verlangen hatte. (Isa 66:4; Jer 7:13)13Darum spricht Gott der HERR: Siehe, meine Knechte sollen essen, ihr aber sollt hungern; siehe, meine Knechte sollen trinken, ihr aber sollt dürsten. Siehe, meine Knechte sollen fröhlich sein, ihr aber sollt zuschanden werden; (Isa 55:1)14siehe, meine Knechte sollen vor Herzenslust jauchzen, ihr aber sollt vor Herzeleid schreien und vor Jammer heulen.15Und ihr sollt euren Namen meinen Auserwählten zum Fluch überlassen »Dass dich Gott der HERR töte«; aber meine Knechte wird man mit einem andern Namen nennen. (Isa 62:2)16Wer sich segnen wird auf Erden, der wird sich im Namen des wahrhaftigen Gottes segnen, und wer schwören wird auf Erden, der wird bei dem wahrhaftigen Gott schwören. Denn die früheren Ängste sind vergessen und vor meinen Augen entschwunden. (Isa 19:18; Jer 4:2)
Neuer Himmel und neue Erde
17Denn siehe, ich will einen neuen Himmel und eine neue Erde schaffen, dass man der vorigen nicht mehr gedenken und sie nicht mehr zu Herzen nehmen wird. (Isa 66:22; 2Pe 3:13; Re 21:1)18Freuet euch und seid fröhlich immerdar über das, was ich schaffe. Denn siehe, ich erschaffe Jerusalem zur Wonne und sein Volk zur Freude, (Isa 25:8; Isa 35:10; Re 21:4)19und ich will fröhlich sein über Jerusalem und mich freuen über mein Volk. Man soll in ihm nicht mehr hören die Stimme des Weinens noch die Stimme des Klagens.20Es sollen keine Kinder mehr da sein, die nur einige Tage leben, oder Alte, die ihre Jahre nicht erfüllen, sondern als Knabe gilt, wer hundert Jahre alt stirbt, und wer die hundert Jahre nicht erreicht, gilt als verflucht. (Zec 8:4)21Sie werden Häuser bauen und bewohnen, sie werden Weinberge pflanzen und ihre Früchte essen. (Isa 62:8)22Sie sollen nicht bauen, was ein anderer bewohne, und nicht pflanzen, was ein anderer esse. Denn die Tage meines Volks werden sein wie die Tage eines Baumes, und ihrer Hände Werk werden meine Auserwählten genießen. (De 28:30; Job 14:7)23Sie sollen nicht umsonst arbeiten und keine Kinder für einen frühen Tod zeugen; denn sie sind das Geschlecht der Gesegneten des HERRN, und ihre Nachkommen sind bei ihnen.24Und es soll geschehen: Ehe sie rufen, will ich antworten; wenn sie noch reden, will ich hören. (Isa 30:19; Isa 58:9)25Wolf und Lamm sollen beieinander weiden; der Löwe wird Stroh fressen wie das Rind, aber die Schlange muss Erde fressen. Man wird weder Bosheit noch Schaden tun auf meinem ganzen heiligen Berge, spricht der HERR. (Ge 3:14; Isa 11:6)
