1Righteous are you, O Lord, when I complain to you; yet I would plead my case before you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive? (Isa 29:13)3But you, O Lord, know me; you see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and set them apart for the day of slaughter. 5“If you have raced with men on foot, and they have wearied you, how will you compete with horses? And if in a safe land you are so trusting, what will you do in the thicket of the Jordan? (Jos 3:15; Jer 49:19; Jer 50:44; Zec 11:3)6For even your brothers and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; they are in full cry after you; do not believe them, though they speak friendly words to you.” (Pr 26:25; Jer 9:4; Jer 11:19; Jer 11:21; Jer 12:1)7“I have forsaken my house; I have abandoned my heritage; I have given the beloved of my soul into the hands of her enemies. Are the birds of prey against her all around? Go, assemble all the wild beasts; bring them to devour. Nahe bist du ihrem Munde, aber ferne von ihrem Herzen.3Mich aber, HERR, kennst du und siehst mich und prüfst mein Herz vor dir. Reiß sie weg wie Schafe zum Schlachten, und sondere sie aus, dass sie getötet werden! (Ps 139:1)4Wie lange soll das Land so trocken stehen und das Gras überall auf dem Felde verdorren? Wegen der Bosheit der Bewohner schwinden Vieh und Vögel dahin; denn sie sagen: Er sieht nicht, wie es uns gehen wird. (Jer 9:9; Jer 14:1; Ho 4:3)5Wenn es dich müde macht, mit Fußgängern zu gehen, wie willst du mit Rossen wetteifern? Und wenn du nur im friedlichen Lande sicher bist, was willst du tun im Dickicht des Jordans?6Denn auch deine Brüder und deines Vaters Haus sind treulos gegen dich, sie schreien hinter dir her aus vollem Halse. Trau ihnen nicht, auch wenn sie freundlich mit dir reden. (Jer 9:3)
Gottes Klage über sein verwüstetes Land
7Ich habe mein Haus verlassen und mein Erbe verstoßen und, was meine Seele liebt, in der Feinde Hand gegeben.8Mein Erbe ist mir geworden wie ein Löwe im Walde und brüllt wider mich; darum bin ich ihm feind geworden.9Ist mir mein Erbe zur Höhle der Hyäne geworden, dass sich dort Raubvögel sammeln? Wohlauf und sammelt euch, alle Tiere des Feldes, kommt und fresst! (Isa 56:9)10Viele Hirten haben meinen Weinberg verwüstet und meinen Acker zertreten; sie haben meinen schönen Acker zur öden Wüste gemacht. (Jer 6:3)11Sie haben ihn jämmerlich verwüstet; verödet liegt er vor mir; ja, das ganze Land ist verwüstet, aber niemand will es sich zu Herzen nehmen.12Die Verwüster sind dahergekommen über alle kahlen Höhen der Steppe. Denn ein Schwert hat der HERR, das frisst von einem Ende des Landes bis zum andern, und kein Geschöpf wird Frieden haben.13Sie haben Weizen gesät, aber Dornen geerntet; sie ließen’s sich sauer werden, aber sie konnten’s nicht genießen. Sie konnten ihres Ertrages nicht froh werden vor dem grimmigen Zorn des HERRN. (Ho 8:7)
Über die Nachbarvölker
14So spricht der HERR wider alle meine bösen Nachbarn, die das Erbteil antasten, das ich meinem Volk Israel zugeteilt habe: Siehe, ich will sie aus ihrem Lande ausreißen und das Haus Juda aus ihrer Mitte reißen.15Aber wenn ich sie ausgerissen habe, will ich mich wieder über sie erbarmen und will einen jeden in sein Erbteil und in sein Land zurückbringen. (Jer 1:10)16Und es soll geschehen, wenn sie von meinem Volk lernen werden, bei meinem Namen zu schwören: So wahr der HERR lebt!, wie sie mein Volk gelehrt haben, beim Baal zu schwören, so sollen sie inmitten meines Volks aufgebaut werden. (De 6:13; Jer 4:2)17Wenn sie aber nicht hören wollen, so will ich solch ein Volk ausreißen und vernichten, spricht der HERR.

Réserve-les comme des brebis qu'on doit égorger et mets-les à part pour le jour du carnage!4Jusqu'à quand le pays sera-t-il endeuillé et l'herbe de tous les champs sera-t-elle desséchée? A cause de la méchanceté de ses habitants, les bêtes et les oiseaux disparaissent. Ils disent: ‘Il ne verra pas notre fin.’»5«Si tu cours avec des piétons et qu'ils te fatiguent, comment pourras-tu lutter avec des chevaux? Et si tu ne te sens en sécurité que dans une région paisible, que feras-tu sur les rives luxuriantes du Jourdain?6En effet, tes frères et ta famille te trahissent eux aussi. Eux aussi, ils crient à pleine voix derrière toi. Ne les crois pas quand ils te diront des paroles amicales.7»J'ai abandonné mon temple, j'ai délaissé mon héritage, j'ai livré l'objet de mon amour aux mains de ses ennemis.8Mon héritage s'est comporté envers moi comme un lion dans la forêt, il a poussé ses rugissements contre moi; c'est pourquoi je l'ai pris en haine.9Mon héritage a été pour moi un rapace tacheté, aussi les autres rapaces viennent-ils de tous côtés contre lui. Venez, rassemblez tous les animaux sauvages, amenez-les pour le festin!10De nombreux bergers ont détruit ma vigne, ils ont piétiné mon champ. Ils ont réduit le champ de mes délices en un désert inhabité.11On en a fait une terre dévastée. Il est en deuil, il est en ruine devant moi. Tout le pays est dévasté, parce que personne ne l'a pris à cœur.12Sur toutes les hauteurs du désert arrivent les dévastateurs, car l'épée de l'Eternel dévore le pays d'un bout à l'autre. Il n'y a de paix pour personne.13Ils ont semé du blé et ils récoltent des ronces, ils se sont fatigués sans que cela leur soit utile. Si vous devez avoir honte de vos récoltes, c'est à cause de la colère ardente de l'Eternel.14»Voici ce que je dis, moi l'Eternel, sur tous mes méchants voisins qui attaquent l'héritage que j'ai donné à mon peuple, Israël: Je vais les arracher de leur terre et leur arracher la communauté de Juda.15Mais, après les avoir arrachés, j'aurai de nouveau compassion d'eux. Je les ferai revenir chacun dans son héritage, chacun dans son pays.16Et si, de la même manière qu'ils ont enseigné à mon peuple à prêter serment au nom de Baal, ils apprennent sincèrement à suivre les voies de mon peuple, jusqu'à prêter serment par mon nom en disant: ‘L'Eternel est vivant’, alors ils auront leur place au milieu de mon peuple.17En revanche, s'ils n'écoutent rien, j'arracherai une telle nation, je l'arracherai, je la ferai disparaître, déclare l'Eternel.»
