1“At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release. (Ex 23:10; Le 25:2; De 15:12; De 31:10; Ne 10:31)2And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it of his neighbor, his brother, because the Lord’s release has been proclaimed.3Of a foreigner you may exact it, but whatever of yours is with your brother your hand shall release. (De 23:20)4But there will be no poor among you; for the Lord will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess— (De 15:11; De 28:8)5if only you will strictly obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all this commandment that I command you today. So the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.19“All the firstborn males that are born of your herd and flock you shall dedicate to the Lord your God. (Ex 13:2)20You shall eat it, you and your household, before the Lord your God year by year at the place that the Lord will choose. (Le 22:20)22You shall eat it within your towns. The unclean and the clean alike may eat it, as though it were a gazelle or a deer. (De 28:12)7Wenn einer deiner Brüder arm ist in irgendeiner Stadt in deinem Lande, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird, so sollst du dein Herz nicht verhärten und deine Hand nicht zuhalten gegenüber deinem armen Bruder, (1Jo 3:17)8sondern sollst sie ihm auftun und ihm leihen, so viel er Mangel hat. (Lu 6:34)9Hüte dich, dass nicht in deinem Herzen ein arglistiger Gedanke aufsteige, dass du sprichst: Es naht das siebente Jahr, das Erlassjahr –, und dass du deinen armen Bruder nicht unfreundlich ansiehst und ihm nichts gibst; sonst wird er wider dich zu dem HERRN rufen und bei dir wird Sünde sein.10Sondern du sollst ihm geben, und dein Herz soll sich’s nicht verdrießen lassen, dass du ihm gibst; denn dafür wird dich der HERR, dein Gott, segnen in allen deinen Werken und in allem, was du unternimmst. (2Co 9:6)11Es werden allezeit Arme sein im Lande; darum gebiete ich dir und sage, dass du deine Hand auftust deinem Bruder, der bedrängt und arm ist in deinem Lande. (Isa 58:7; Mt 26:11; Jas 2:15)
Freilassung hebräischer Sklaven und Sklavinnen
12Wenn sich dein Bruder, ein Hebräer – oder eine Hebräerin –, dir verkauft, so soll er dir sechs Jahre dienen; im siebenten Jahr sollst du ihn als frei entlassen. (Ex 21:1; Jer 34:14)13Und wenn du ihn freigibst, sollst du ihn nicht mit leeren Händen von dir gehen lassen,14sondern du sollst ihm aufladen von deinen Schafen, von deiner Tenne, von deiner Kelter, sodass du ihm gibst von dem, womit dich der HERR, dein Gott, gesegnet hat,15und sollst daran denken, dass du auch Knecht warst in Ägyptenland und der HERR, dein Gott, dich erlöst hat; darum gebiete ich dir solches heute. (De 5:15)16Wird er aber zu dir sprechen: Ich will nicht fortgehen von dir, denn ich habe dich und dein Haus lieb – weil ihm wohl bei dir ist –,17so nimm einen Pfriemen und durchbohre ihm sein Ohr an dem Pfosten der Tür und lass ihn für immer deinen Knecht sein. Mit deiner Magd sollst du ebenso tun.18Und lass dir’s nicht schwerfallen, dass du ihn freilässt, denn er hat dir sechs Jahre wie zwei Tagelöhner gedient; so wird der HERR, dein Gott, dich segnen in allem, was du tust.
Heiligung der Erstgeburt
19Alle Erstgeburt, die unter deinen Rindern und Schafen geboren wird, sollst du, wenn sie männlich ist, dem HERRN, deinem Gott, heiligen. Du sollst nicht ackern mit dem Erstling deiner Rinder und nicht scheren die Erstlinge deiner Schafe. (Ex 13:2; Ex 13:13)20Vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, sollst du sie essen jährlich an der Stätte, die der HERR erwählt, du und dein Haus. (De 14:23)21Wenn’s aber einen Fehler hat, dass es hinkt oder blind ist oder sonst irgendeinen bösen Fehler hat, so sollst du es nicht opfern dem HERRN, deinem Gott; (Le 22:20)22sondern in deiner Stadt sollst du es essen, du seist unrein oder rein, wie man Reh und Hirsch isst, (De 12:15; De 12:22)23nur dass du sein Blut nicht isst, sondern es auf die Erde gießt wie Wasser! (De 12:16)

Il n'imposera pas de contrainte à son prochain et compatriote pour le paiement de sa dette.3Tu pourras imposer des contraintes à l'étranger, mais tu renonceras à ton droit pour ce qui t'appartiendra chez ton compatriote.4Toutefois, il n'y aura pas de pauvre chez toi, car l'Eternel te bénira dans le pays que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te fera posséder en héritage,5pourvu seulement que tu obéisses à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, en mettant soigneusement en pratique les commandements que je te prescris aujourd'hui.6L'Eternel, ton Dieu, te bénira comme il te l'a dit. Tu prêteras à beaucoup de nations et tu ne feras pas d'emprunt, tu domineras sur beaucoup de nations et elles ne domineront pas sur toi.7»S'il y a chez toi, parmi tes frères et dans l'une de tes villes, un pauvre dans le pays que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te donne, tu n'endurciras pas ton cœur et tu ne fermeras pas ta main devant ton frère pauvre.8Au contraire, tu lui ouvriras ta main et tu lui prêteras de quoi pourvoir à ses besoins.9Veille bien à ne pas te montrer assez méchant pour dire dans ton cœur: ‘La septième année, l'année de la remise des dettes, approche!’ Veille bien à ne pas avoir un regard mauvais envers ton frère pauvre, au point de ne rien lui donner. Il crierait à l'Eternel contre toi et tu te chargerais d'un péché.10Donne-lui et que ton cœur ne rechigne pas à le faire, car, à cause de cela, l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te bénira dans tous tes travaux et dans toutes tes entreprises.11Il y aura toujours des pauvres dans le pays. C'est pourquoi je te donne ce commandement: tu ouvriras ta main à ton frère, à celui qui vit dans la misère et la pauvreté dans ton pays.12»Si l'un de tes frères hébreux, homme ou femme, se vend à toi, il te servira 6 ans, mais la septième année, tu le renverras libre de chez toi.13Et lorsque tu le renverras libre de chez toi, tu ne le renverras pas les mains vides.14Tu lui feras des cadeaux tirés de ton petit bétail, de ton aire de battage, de ton pressoir, de ce que tu auras grâce à la bénédiction de l'Eternel, ton Dieu.15Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave en Egypte et que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, t'a racheté. Voilà pourquoi je te donne aujourd'hui ce commandement.16Si ton esclave te dit: ‘Je ne veux pas sortir de chez toi’, parce qu'il t'aime, toi et ta famille, et qu'il se trouve bien chez toi,17alors tu prendras un poinçon et tu lui perceras l'oreille contre la porte. Ainsi il sera pour toujours ton esclave. Tu feras de même pour ta servante.18Tu ne devras pas trouver difficile de le renvoyer libre de chez toi, car il t'a servi 6 ans et il t'a rapporté le double d'un salarié. Alors l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te bénira dans tout ce que tu feras.
Les premiers-nés des animaux
19»Tu consacreras à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, tout premier-né mâle qui naîtra dans ton gros et dans ton petit bétail. Tu ne travailleras pas avec le premier-né de ton bœuf et tu ne tondras pas le premier-né de tes brebis.20Tu le mangeras chaque année avec ta famille devant l'Eternel, ton Dieu, à l'endroit qu'il choisira.21S'il a un défaut, s'il est boiteux, aveugle ou atteint d'une tare quelconque, tu ne l'offriras pas en sacrifice à l'Eternel, ton Dieu.22Tu le mangeras dans ta ville. La personne impure et la personne pure en mangeront l'une et l'autre, comme on mange de la gazelle et du cerf.23Seulement, tu ne mangeras pas son sang. Tu le verseras sur la terre comme de l'eau.
